Another rock solid video from Garrett! Very sound advice. It actually takes time to get really tuned into bow. Getting a new bow (I’m guilty) disrupts that connecting that can take awhile to achieve. I’m guilty as much as anyone: halon 32 to Triax to Vertix to now VXR 31.5. I still have the Vertix and Halon 32 as backups and to compare shoot. I definitely shoot the VXR best but the Halon 32 is right behind it. Getting a new bow should be maybe something to do every 4th year.
Good to see your video pop up in my notifications. Been a while! I ended up with a Mach 1 this year, but there's definitely a lot of good bows out there 👍
Always love your videos and reviews! I actually sold my Halon 6...loved that bow! But I went with the Bowtech Revolt X...just fit my style of shooting better and only beat out the NXT 33 by a small margine. But I agree with your statement about sometimes it’s better to save your money for better and more hunting opportunities than upgrading your bow every year. Let’s face it...they were hunting as successfully as we are today with the bows of 10-20 years ago!
Absolutely! It’s fun to have new exciting things, but my money was better spent for note hunting opportunities this year for sure 👊 Thanks for watching!!
Great video. I think people get caught up in the “Latest and Greatest” chase. And feel like they’re not going to fill there tags if they don’t have the newest gear out. I’m super guilty of it for sure. I think as long as you’re buying flagship models and accessories they’re going to last for years to come and allow you to maintain a high level of success. A flagship model that’s a few years old is generally a better bow over this years middle of the road bows and usually around the same price.
It’s pounding and had been an awesome bow for me so far. Very hard to get rid of this bow right now. The new PSE are very shootable, good luck this year!
I'm thinking about running a back bar for the first time but don't know if i want to drop 200 bucks on the whole set up. Do you think its worth it? And will you keep your back bar while hunting? Good shooting!
Glad to see a new video! Keep them coming! Good luck this year
Thanks man will do

Thanks Jason!
Dude, I have an Evo NTN this year it’s my first PSE. It’s a tack driver, I hear the Evoke was the same! Right on ✊🏼

I’m trying it out this year. The difference is minimal, but it’s nice not having to focus as much on leveling the bow.
Why didn't I buy a new bow this year..... Because you don't have to
