Maybe some silica gel pack in the starage boxes might help with the damper conditions if thats whats causing the issue. Maybe it`s me I`d love a few knacked motors to get inside and see whats what with then.

Hi Peter great running session as always, i wish i got a cavalex 56 now it sounds amazing compared to my hornby one, the 37s look great to, i could never get my 2 bachmann drs 37s to run as a consist they must have different decoders in them as they have completely different acceleration rates unfortunately, look forward to seeing the next running session. Hello Peter it's me from the loft. Yes your right about decoders when consisting. Matching them works very well but when using Zimo and Lok sound they don't match. To change the cv's is fine but takes time but then after if you want to consist 2 Zimo or 2 Loksounds you got go back and change all the CV's again if you can remember there settings or it's back to CV 8. It's funny, but some of us would pale at removing a driveshaft, but would be quite happy to just speed match the locos and adjust the CVs.

Hi Peter, I hope all is well with you and the family, great video catch up and running session, you never got back to me about your Plasser Tamper machine and where you acquired it, have you seen the pictures of the Hornby DP1 yet? It’s a cast model with very good detailing, it has a few fans that work independently from each other, it’s very expensive and will probably sell well, there are those who say if Accurascale produced it it wouldn’t be very good! That is a very unfair in my opinion because Accurascale have always sorted out the issues I had with my purchases that weren’t up to scratch, the last issue I had I sorted myself because I wanted to know all about my locomotive and how it was constructed and how it works, it’s all good now and running very well, that Hornby DP1 looks amazing but I can’t justify buying such an expensive model from a company that abandon’s customers all over the world and that’s a fact, for all those who purchase the model I wish them luck and I hope they get their monies worth instead of a nightmare, thanks for sharing.

Hi Peter, you don't seem to have much luck with motors do you. Do you think storing your locos in the shed might be a possible cause for your motor noise, getting damp in the mechanisms and all. Might be worth storing the ones you don't use much in the house...............although you said some have been stored in the shed much longer than this 66 with no detrimental effect. Too much track, the maintenance costs will spiral. I'm digging up that Absolute Lord Beeching.

I wonder if moisture has degraded the rubber on the bearings and small parts of the rubber are stuck to the metal spindle causing a wobble and hence the noise.

Hello. Not come across your channel before. The blue first Bachmann is a great looking loco. If it's still making that noise after you've stripped it down and serviced it, then it probably needs a new motor. Luckily, as it's a Bachmann, you'll be able to get a replacement pretty easily and cheaply, and judging by what you're saying, you have the skills to replace it yourself. I'm kicking myself on missing out on the Accurascale Evening Star, and as you say, the second hand examples on eBay are silly money. Oh well... Yours looks and runs superbly. I particularly like the "9F" printed under the cab windows, which is a nice tribute/nod to the original steam loco.

The sound could be from the brushes/commutator.

Not got a layout myself but just love the amount of detail and modelling involved in creating yours and other layouts…..fantastic and so life like. Love the camera angles they give such a great perspective on the shots. Keep up the great updates Peter……it’s not just train enthusiasts that appreciate them….same goes with many of your colleagues……👍

Hi Peter, With the cost of these engines (& Hornby about to raise prices again Sams Trains) getting expensive this is the way to go to have engine and rolling stock matched even for trainsets £50 / £200 its no contest lets hope all the manufactorers have lots of stock of the bodys. Hi Peter, Colas has the Network Rail RCT test trains contract, & has taken over the class 43's & 97's in Network Rail livery! HN Rail is a spot hire company smart livery in total Colas has 12x37, 1043, 10x56, 5x66 2x67 & 17x70 in their fleet. did have both class 47 & 60's both sold on to GBRf.

bachmann 47 , latest version ,with tension lock ,pullingsix new mk3 coahes , uncouples, help!

help with couplings, specifically joining bachmann sound version loco to mk3 coach.is there a magnetic coupling that fits bachman's socket. kind regards richard
