Thankyou so much for the shoutout Peter ,much appreciated. .... WOW ,what a fabulous collection of locos you've put together Peter, amazing.,and a super job on painting the figures!!!...AND what a tear jerking story that is about the school bombing,.i knew nothing about it,but after your heart rending storytelling its one i won't ever forget. all the best, dave
Wow, Peter, just wow!!! AN epic and tragic historical lesson, and a much happier look at your grand collection. A wonderful mix of emotions. Best wishes to you and thanks for the history update!
My old school during the 60s. My aunt was thereabouts when the bomb struck. Luckily she was walking home to Verdant Lane. Did a lot of train spotting at Hither Green and was lucky to have a mates dad show us around the sheds.
Lot's of history like that Pete when we catch up...Next time you're at Kings X...stand 10 yards up platform 8 and look up at the arched steelwork...most is ornate except for several sections that are plain...that was where the bomb came through.
Hi Peter, That is some collection and its sad about the school but thats why war should be avoided at all costs lets hope todays leaders do all they can to sort it out with talk and not action. So home alone again I hope you had a good time as well as your wife. Cheers Robert.
Hi Peter followed your channel for a while I lived in broad field rd from 84 to 2001 old lady my mum house backed on too said she see bomb drop from sky
Very interesting video Peter very sad on the history part nice of you to share the story must have taken an age to take all your fleet out to the shed nice collection cheers Al
Really interesting video Peter but very very sad to hear. Incredible collection of locomotives hugely impressive. Quick question what did you use for the hard standing area in your TMD? All the best Deano
A sad and tragic act against Civilian Teachers and Young Children. The two halves of my family lived in East London. My father's family lived on York Road E17 and my mother's family on Prospect Road, Woodford Green. In York Road, a bomb fell four doors away taking out the next four houses to the right of Grandma's house and in Prospect Road a bomb fell two doors away to the left side of Grandma's house. My mum was not there at the time as she had been evacuated down to Newquay. Nice locos and the short running session. all the best. Martin. (Thailand)
