Cheers mate, i thought i knew just about everythig about cars, i would have bet myleft one, it was a blown head gasket between cylinders and into the water jacket, a lot has happened since holden red motor technology. As a small busness owner as a fridgey myself, it is good to see there are still some of us who happily share our knowlodge. Once again thank you, i had nightmares about pulling the head off. lol

I have a 2013 Elantra GT (i30) as well and I could not find the coupler part on hyundai OEM parts website. When I entered the part number for other Elantra the website returns with "not compatible with my car". odd....

I did the bypass with the hoses and all it did was make even more coolant come out excessively 3lt ranger pk

Hello mate. I don’t understand to whom I should take my for a few problems. MAF sensor was not working I changed it thn fuel composition sensor showed up and another vode for cylinder 2 misfire. And these codes are in permanent section. When I changed MAF sensor thn it happed. I am driving HOLDEN OMEGA VE 2013 LPG. And the replaced sensor was taken out from holden commodore petrol, not LPG. Can you tell me why it happen and to whom I should take it to

How much smoke came out after repair, i had a leaking turbo from a clogged pvc, it happened for 2 days, they is no more leaks but while driving its smoking alot, do you know how long it would smoke for?

can it couse loose of water and over heat engine only on higway ?

The turbo on the 2.0 td oil feed is insufficient, in conjunction with the egr and pcv causing dirty shit going through the intake back into the car through the turbo and dpf cause all manner of problems

Love this video, I have a 2015 nissan qashqai and the turbo pipe has split. The mechanic says he can fix for $1100 as a quick fix. Will this be helpful or should I get all things properly repaired?

Thanks for making this video. I’m helping a friend with this exact problem. I couldn’t understand why there is so much oil around the turbo. There is no play in the turbo shaft. Will removing the restriction in the oil save the turbo? I do not have dpf codes… yet.

10k oil changes aren’t good either folks. Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive. Do you oil changes every 5-6k if you want to keep your car along time.

Just driven an i30 of my friends on the Autobahn in Germany with this issue. Eek! It’s quite disturbing at high speed! Good to know it’s not a major mechanical issue, and nice to see what it is to get an idea of repair cost. Cheers fellas 👌😎

Brilliant and massively helpfull, just had a d40 with a yd25 in with low power issues (among others) using this method proved that timing was out by aprox. 30 degrees.

I have 2014 Imax.. Diesel 2.5 added a catch can to it as it was recommend by a mate of mine who is also a Mech... Good idea or not..

Great video. I was fully with you until you said the Pressure sensor is a sacrificial wear item……NO….. you have taken the time to prove it’s fully functional and passed with flying colours….fit a DPF and recheck the sensor. I had a situation last week when the DPF was so blocked the soot was escaping from the exhaust flange. This over pressure was noted at the pressure sensor and in turn had damaged the component. So in this case both components where replaced. Great work overall though.
