ok so cool place and i do like the setup BUT. Are you really listing to records on 2 aiwa speakers stacked on top of each other???? even if those speakers were placed like they were supposed to be, one on the left and one on the right, they would still suck. For god sake baby go to a thrift store and get a receiver and a set of speakers where the grills come off at least.. as long as the receiver you pick up doesn't say Dolby digital your golden. you dont want any digital shit compressing the analog sound.

I’m a big fan of Reverend Horton Heat and 400 bucks probably my favorite song, but is it me or is the production on that lp awful. Glad to see it in vinyl though . Good see you back.

not familiar with the Alan Vega album you showed.but you said you're into '80s Rockabilly revival and his self titled LP from 1980 fits that description perfectly, also his 1983 LP Saturn Strip is great can't recommend both of those LPs enough.

Wow some cool stuff Sam. Big fan of Rev. Horton Heat & Cramps. Man Or Astroman albums are so hard to find in the wild in my area (Alberta, Canada). Had a copy of the first Pavlov's Dog album but didn't like it because of the singers voice.

Love Dolly. Just the best. One of the songs she did with Porter, called The Party, is absolutely the darkest song I've ever heard. And yet she's a gem.

On the artists who become parents and settle down and loose their juice I was just watching a video yesterday of Corey Taylor the singer of Slipknot rocking out to his son singing in his sons band (of which the drummer is other Slipknot founder Shawn Crahan’s son) and I’m seeing Slipknot later in the year and that’s one singer who got famous got married had kids and has gained in the juice!

You should buy Bo Burnham’s Inside! Especially if you haven’t seen the video special because the album version is way cooler on its own. Sorry for the seriously random suggestion he’s just fresh on the mind

I picked up a big batch recently, got the new MGMT in there and working my way up to it, very excited to check it out. Oracular was originally my fav, but I find a lot of their albums outside of that one aren't "first-listen favourites", but become favourites after a few spins. Congratulation might be my tops MGMT, though I didn't really care for it on the first listen. Oh, and I checked out the Gories based on this vid, they're "straight to the want-list", thanks for that!

Hi they, Sonic Youth, Goo is an essential album to own. Tunic (Song For Karen) is a brilliant track. Telling a tail of Karen Carpenter and her tragic last days. A must "properly" listen.

I have found that some of the music that has been recommended to me has good instrumentals but the singers voice is just not good. I have tried to get into them but just cant. The singers voice is so important. So, instead of taking peoples recommendations and purchasing, I listen to the music on Spotify first.

Nice choices, and as a UK resident, some unfamiliar ones which I will have to check out. We certainly owe a debt of gratitude to our American cousins for those early pioneers such as Iggy and The New York Dolls both of whom were hugely influential. I was a little surprised that you didn't include The Dead Kennedys in your list. They were very popular here in the UK. Great video, entertaining and informative, thank you.
