Aloha Sam's Great record album haul! The Happenings PIECE OF MIND is a awesome record album. I have 2 copies one still sealed & the other open with a few pieces of the puzzle missing lol. I really enjoy the band IRON BUTTERFLY 🦋 I really got into their first 5 recordings back in the day.. My personal favorite was Iron Butterfly "Heavy". I like them all ,but Heavy was my go to record album back in the day. Derek and the Domino's Layla such a classic album. Thanks again for sharing your recent finds. Will be looking forward to watching your next video. Mahalo Ed
Sorry you don't feel good, hope you're feeling better by now. I saw this video come up in my subscriptions and "Hey, Sam's rockin' a hat and sweater, it can't be that cold out there yet" That first Iron Butterfly album is interesting as it's a different lineup than the classic one. It makes me compare it to the Music Machine. Feel better Sam!
Nice pickups, Sam. That's got to be the cleanest Layla I have ever seen. Thanks for the tip on the new antique warehouse. I'll definitely check it out. Hope you feel better soon.
You picked up some great ones there . I am a huge fan of Iron Butterfly's Ball album , and I view it as a lost psychedelic rock classic . It was in the shadow of their previous album , but I , like you , think it's a better album . Thank you for the recommendations of the Group Called Smith , and The Happenings albums . I will definitely be exploring those ones . Cheers !!
Hi Sam I have both those Smith albums great stuff and cheap heat , I would also recommend Vanilla Fudge the first three albums, more cheap psychedelic goodness
Hi Sam! Great vintage finds. That copy of Heavy looks beautiful. Iron Butterfly was my first concert, back in 1969. This was in San Diego, where they were hometown heroes. When I was in junior high guys would draw that Ball logo on their book covers and desks...
Wow! You really scored some great albums at a great price! Love those Iron Butterfly albums. That band "The Happening" sounds / looks really cool. Will have to keep an eye out for that one. I hope you feel better soon.
Those are such great albums. Did Sopwith Camel do Winchester Cathedral??? Speaking of Layla. Do you watch Abigail Devoe’s Channel??? She did a great job on the history of Layla. you would like her channel.
Hi Sam 👋 - Love the before & after Inna Gadda Da Vida Iron Butterfly 🦋 albums ! I like you're hat & was distracted by the Waterboys album Fisherman's Blues .. just played it yesterday. Hope you are feeling better ! Fingers 🤞
Nice diverse haul. Almost as nice as your chapeau. Stylin'!! I was disappointed with Don't Tell a Soul when it was released, but its depth and comparatively mellow sound has grown on me over time. Go-Gos are so much fun and they rock. In a related matter, the new Alvvays record includes the song Belinda Says. Check it out. Feel better!
I enjoy your show. It inspired me to start my own My one critique would be that you aren't checking out newer bands, like Iceage, Parquet Courts, OBGMs, Fontaines DC I'd bet all the money in the world you'd like all of those bands. My show is A Constant Barrage It's a radio show and now a TH-cam video review side project. We should talk sometime about new music. I'm much older than you. But I think my taste, while it includes a lot of the underground, punk, post punk, that you listen to, is actually more modern than yours. But I don't blame you. You have to find these bands in ways not everybody thinks of.
Hope you feel better. That tissue had a lock on my attention from time to time. Thankfully you’re a gifted ventriloquist. Sunday’s would be bland without ya 😊
Aloha Sam's

Memory Den is awesome! I believe they have two locations but the one I went to is by The Doug Fir Lounge

That first Iron Butterfly album Heavy is their best The cover is the band with a statute of an ear
Awesome
Metamorphosis by Iron Butterfly is their best record IMHO.
