Do you ever dream of making the move to the countryside? Or following your dream where ever it will take you?
In the spring 2022 we bought an abandoned off-grid cabin in the south of Sweden, and are renovating it into a simple life paradise with as natural materials as we can.
We hope to inspire you to listen to your heart and take action towards your dream - whatever it may be. We do it every day!

The Faroe Islands - Joys & struggles of returning Home
This is a story I have been wanting to tell for years - I just didn't know how it went, because I was still in the midst of it.
Now I am ready to go back home for real - for a longer period of time - to face my shadows on these dark and rainy islands.
Who wants to live in a place, where it is always stormy? Where you can't make a garden, because the strong winds will tear it apart? Where the water is freezing cold?
In this video I experience my childhood home from a whole new perspective. Like a foggy pair of sunglasses lifted from my eyes, as The Faroe Islands become so beautiful and full of warmth and loving people ♡
I know this is not our usual content - but stick around for more renovation videos in Sweden, AND please let me know if you would like to come on more adventures on The Faroe Islands in the future.
Until next time,
lots of love!
Annie

Hi Annie and Julian, one of your videos showed up in my feed one week ago and now I'm watching your Videos all from the beginning. Thank you for sharing this stunning nature with us. It's amazing. I'm from Germany.
Ahh! This makes me SO happy to hear. I'm glad we can provide some kind of inspiration or value to you. And to hear that the videos we made so long ago still are living and bringing value makes it feel so good that we started this journey of sharing it on TH-cam. Thank you! Lots of love, Annie
I have a lot of respect for people building their dreams. You have really done a lot already. You're right, the bridge area is beautiful. I wish you all the best and may all your dreams come true. God bless.
The Faroe Islands is such an interesting place - living in Western NY it isn't a place on most peoples' radar. Please do share more of your life there :)
Been looking at Faroe islands for a while now, it's a place I would plant roots if I could. You have a new subscriber. Be well.
Im watching you from Poland. Beautiful place and view.
Hello! Thank you for watching and saying hello. Love, Annie

Hi, Annie 👋 Happy to see you and your smile again 😍 I have one question about your home, where did you study, I mean in Faroe Islands have school, this question come ro me few times while I watching this video 😉
Hey 😍 Aww, thank you! Good question. Perhaps I will include it in my next video about Faroe Islands 😊 Thank you for asking! Love, Annie
Dear Annie! I loved watching your video about the Faroe Islands. I find it very beautiful and I hope you will release more video's in the near future about the island you were born and grew up. The Faroe Islands is definitely a destination on my bucket list. Do you have some go-to spots I can't miss if I be there? Already looking forward to your next video (as always!)😘
Hi Guy 😍😍😍 Thank you for your comment 🙏 Great question (and a hard one) 😅 I answered it yesterday, and it will be in my next video about Faroe Island - after a few videos on the way from Sweden. Thank you! Love, Annie
I’m visiting Faroe Islands for the first time right now and can’t imagine a more beautiful place to call home - you are lucky and I hope you find your home again to be as comforting as you need
How cool 😍 Then we were there at the same time. I would love to hear about your favorite experience there. Thank you ❤️ Love, Annie
@@AnnieJulian my favorites were touring Vágar the waterfall and the lake above the ocean and dinner at Raest! I was going to suggest to meet up for coffee at Paname but thought that would have been too weird so didn’t. Hope everything is going well.
so glad to see you again I as wondering what happened to you two. Great job on the bridge everything looks so nice
Thank you so much! More videos are on the way 😊 Love, Annie

Your home is absolutely stunning! I can see why tourism has increased. A good and bad thing depending on how you look at it. Thank you for sharing 😊
Yes ❤️ Exactly. It is so strange to see so many people here all of a sudden. Hotels and tourist attractions… Not bad, just very different. I’m glad more people get to experience it 🇫🇴 Love, Annie
This is wonderful!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! More coming up ❤️ Love, Annie
So funny, yesterday I was just thinking we had not seen a video from you in a long time and today your video pops up. Your homeland is so very beautiful. I feel like as we get older we tend to appreciate things more. I know I have. But also, as our world is changing, people are going back to their roots and really trying to figure out where we come from. Lots of people getting back into holistic and herbal medicines and just back to Mother Earth. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! I would love to see more of your islands!
I love this comments! Couldn’t agree with you more ❤️ In Sweden we really love getting back to nature, getting my hands in the soil 🌱 feeling the seasons change. And yeah, coming back to my roots this time was really special. Thank you so much for watching ❤️ More videos from Faroe Islands coming up 🙏 Love, Annie
❤❤❤🎉
❤️❤️❤️🙏
SO very happy to see this. All my best to you and Julian and this new step in your life. Follow your heart ... and speak to you soon!
THANK YOU IAN. All the best to you ❤️ See you soon 😊 Love, Annie
Vackert på Färöarna 😍 Det är nog nyttigt att skapa fred med sitt förflutna/sina rötter!
Ah tack so mycket. Ahh ja, so nyttigt 🙏❤️
Annie. American author Thomas Wolfe famously said: "you can never go home again". What he obviously meant is that you can physically return, but it will not be the home of your remembered youthful past. So very true!
Aww, I get it. Thank you ❤️
When we are young and coming into your own the first thing you want to do is flee. In the end you end up back HOME.😊
Exactly ☺️❤️
That was a lovely video of a rustic and beautiful place. I have lived in the same midwestern state in the US for 69 years. I have moved many times to different towns but never left the state. It starts getting busy where I live and I move. I like it calm, guess I am not very adventurous. The US is a very big country and I have seen many different climates and cultures without leaving the country. We are retired and we have a goal of seeing all the states. My daughters live in the far North and the far south, 1700 miles apart so I see a lot of the country when going to visit them, but I am always glad to come back to my stone house in the central plains.
Hello dear! Thank you for sharing ❤️ Love, Annie
Hi Annie, good to see you again in a video. Did you already tot married this year? Hope to see also movies again from Sweden. Rik
Hello Rik. Thank you ❤️ We postponed the wedding, so not married yet 😊 All is good. Movies from Sweden on the way! ✌️ Love, Annie
Det var virkelig en vakker video. På alle måter. Du er så god og ekte. Tusen takk.❤
Tusen tusen takk ❤️
Hello Marie-Christine, thank you so much for writing ❤️ I know how to knit the basics, but I don’t knit. The knitwork on Faroe Islands is so beautiful, I love it. Lots of love to you, Annie

Annie so good to see you again. What a treat while I drink my morning coffee! Thank you for another video. Perhaps your best. Jim in California
Hello hello dear Jim! I'm glad I could join you at your morning coffee. My best?? Oh dear. Thank you! Love, Annie
What a wonderful video Annie. I knew you were from the Faroe (a previous mention of this and we exchanged comments). I am not from the Faroes but my son married a lovely girl from Kalback (not too far I think from your own home village) and after completing studies in Aberdeen they returned there in 2013 with my grandson Benjamin. They now have three children and I visit them twice per year - but I can say that a large part of my heart is there with them. I love the Faroes in all its guises - even the wind and weather. More than that, I love the culture of the Faroes and especially the 'can-do' attitude I see in abundance there. I love the knitting, the drekkamun, the informality and the humility of the Faroes even although its accomplishments are way beyond its size and population. I have been on every island except Littla and Storra Dimnun - yes, even Kolltur, Hestur, Sandoy, Nolsoy, Kalsoy, etc. It is not my home town or home country - this is in the call fields on Lanarkshire in Scotland - but your video resonates with me in having a resurgent pride in my childhood and all its difficulties, joys, thrills. I so enjoyed the video and your reflections on being home. I loved the undersea roundabout closing as I have now driven there many times in wonder and joy on a bilker with my grandchildren. Beautiful.
Dear Jim, Thank you so much for this comment, for sharing your story and connection to The Faroes. I already see there are SO many more things to tell about these magical islands. I'm glad you share a fascination for them. That is impressive, that you have visited all of the populated islands (almost). And I'm glad it also resonated to your story, back in Scotland. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sending lots of love to you and your family! And yes, Kalbak is the neighbour village to mine. Well seen! Love, Annie
@@AnnieJulian Maybe you know Osla Andreason in the village? She is a very dear friend of my son and daughter in law.
Hello Annie!!!, I just loved your video!!!!, and yes!, I would love to see more llke this!
Hello!! Thank you so much <3 Got it! Thank you. Love, Annie
