According to this theory, if you travel around a cylinder of a given mass at a certain speed, you can move backward or forward in time. Kal-El comes from a more advanced civilization, and his father, Jor-El, was a scientist. In the scene where he departs from Krypton, his mother says we are primitives because they possess greater knowledge (space travel, the Phantom Zone where Zod is imprisoned which has been created by Jor-El).

Superman 3 was the Last of the good Superman films that starred Reeve. Superman 4 had a lower budget and the effects were not that great so if you watch that one, keep that in mind.

The endings have better plotlines and ideas than the actual story mode.

When I was a kid watching this I just figured out that the green crystal must be the thing which gives him back his powers simply because there seemed to be nothing else in the fortress. The issue is: The reboots and rewrites are great for people wanting to start reading comics, but annoying as fuck for people who are already reading and invested in characters, only to see all of it end and start new. Sure some of the reboots are often greater than the last versions, especially since time often is not nice to comics, but I get when comic readers are annoyed by it.

It's been a while and you probably dont care or even remember anymore, but i believe the webfluid coming out of his wrists instead of artificial webshooters comes from the Ultimate Line (something worth looking into imo, cause X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers (Ultimates) and Spider-Men are quite different. I really liked your assessment. I feel slightly differently. I like the dark tone and enjoy the "what if" superman came to us for real aspect. To me this is the greatest comic book movie of all time. They can have the new superman with lizards and super dogs. This one was for me :)
