And in injustice 2 it’s revealed that was in fact with the case.
Superman Man of Tomorrow is a movie that has Lobo be one of the main characters. So you can get a lot of screen time with him in it. He also shows up a couple of times in the Superman animated TV show. That show is in the DCAU and the entire universe is a really good watch. You’ll laugh you’ll cry you’ll have lots of fun. It’s long but you’ll definitely enjoy it Although my personal recommendation is the Injustice animated movie. It’s not a good adaptation of the comics but it’s a really good standalone story. It basically has everything you wanted while you were watching the cutscenes and I hope you’ll end up having a new favorite when Plastic Man shows up.
Fun little fact. In Batman's ending in the second one, Batman refers to the President as President Kane. I believe this is a nod to Bob Kane, creator of Batman. Speaking of President's, you should watch/react to, if you haven't already, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. A movie where Luthor does become President.

While there is an actual order that I would recommend for you to watch it, I really hope you react to the three parter pilot episodes of Superman The Animated Series titled "The Last Son of Krypton". I don't recommend continuing after those episodes because there is a proper order to watch the DCAU and after that it would be confusing without context of the previous episodes.
