My question about Cyborg had nothing to do with his race. I was genuinely curious to why he was on this team and personally think he works better with the Teen Titans (on that team he comes off as the strongest member). In this movie he felt kind of thrown in (imo). I love his character and was happy to see his origin (which is very relatable to me) I just wasn’t a big fan of how he was placed in this movie specifically. I hope you guys don’t think it was an attack on his character or me being racist
Cyborg was always the oldest of the Teen Titans, and in the comics he's been a member of the Justice League for a pretty long time at this point, plus Batman is sometimes Hackerman, but the League don't really have a tech-based hero that works with machines in it's starting lineup, while the Titans have relatively younger heroes in their lineup that can fill his prior role like Blue Beetle. And what's been Cyborg's origin story for a while now links him heavily to Apocalypse. And for commenters; No, Flash doesn't count as a 'Tech Hero' just because he got his powers in a freak chemical accident, and the Green Lantern doesn't count either. The Ring itself may be tech-based, but Hal 'Run into a wall headfirst' Jordan is by no means a Tech Hero, his ring's scan feature is the closest we get before he makes a giant boxing glove to hit people with. Batman is the closest Hero to fit the bill, but not to the sci-fi level most tech-focused heroes are.
@@ZerkaiGG "He's been a member of the Justice League for a pretty long time at this point." Knife to my heart, I'm getting old. 🔪❤️👴. I always think about the New 52 as a mistake they just recently made, quickly realized it was a mistake and fixed.
If you keep going on this timeline you will know why he hasnt been or met the Titans yet. But be patience this JL War timeline is big and everything will go to place but youll see. The movie after JL War is Son Of Batman btw. Its a great timeline from start to finish 🥲
Timeline 1---------------- Barry creates Timeline 2 but his memories are of Timeline 1 Timeline 2---------------- Barry tries to set things back to Timeline 1 but accidentally creates a new timeline. Timeline 3 ----------------- When Barry created Timeline 3, he lost his memories from Timeline 1. All the movies in the DCAMU are a part of Barry's new memories from this new timeline. So He created a new past for himself and he does not realize it.
he does remember his memories in the future. Basically in timeline 1 before he time travled the Justice league was already established. Post Flashpoint he returns Justice League is also already established but he takes the place of his past version. Justice League War predates him giving the message to Batman on the new Timeline so from that point he’s a different Barry but after the message it’s the Barry from the first timeline.
To think that the story is still going beyond darkseid war, building to crisis on infinite earths in the Tomorrow-verse with Constantine being from this timeline dcam universe. Gotta love it
Exactly how I feel about Batman. He’s able to hold his own and be a vital member of the JL, as a human with no super powers. The indomitable human spirit
@@abisheknair2523DC has copied Marvel too but if you do your research you’ll find Marvel has copied DC far more. It like doesn’t even compare really lol. For every 1 instance you can name when DC did it, I can give you about 10 times Marvel did it 😂
@@YoungYahtz94 Yea, but why does that matter though? It's fiction writing and more so comics bro, that's par for the course. That's like getting upset when a new artists comes along to draw a character and adds their own interpretation. This stuff has stopped being "original" in some form or another before many fans were even born.
So this is a new timeline. This movie tells the story of how the Justice League met each other. Also Barry "coming back" from Flashpoint happens later on in the timeline. What I mean by that is that years have gone by and they've all had lives and then suddenly memories of Barry's time in Flashpoint come back to him and that's when he delivers the letter to Batman, if that makes sense
Yeah "He" confirms about Flashpoint in the last movie. Beside Batman there is one more character whose my fav... You will see who it is in the last movie. Actually even later on. I wont say who it is. You will figure it out eventually. He is HIM. Without HIM everything can be lost.
Hal Jordan's story is quite extensive in the comics. He was initially introduced as a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft who stumbled upon a dying alien named Abin Sur, a member of the Green Lantern Corps. Sur's power ring chose Jordan as his successor, making him the first human to join the Corps. As Green Lantern, Hal Jordan has faced numerous adversaries, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial, including villains like Sinestro, Hector Hammond, and the various incarnations of the villainous Parallax entity. Over the years, he has been a central figure in many cosmic events and storylines, showcasing his strong sense of duty, leadership skills, and unwavering willpower. Hal's character has undergone significant development, including periods where he struggled with the power of his ring and his own moral dilemmas, making him one of the most complex and beloved characters in the DC universe.
And that right there is one of the biggest problems with it. The New 52 said (and I'm simplifying here) "Basically, any Batman story *You personally Like* is still part of the continuity until we specifically decide to write a story to Retcon it. But somehow All of those stories happened in a 5-year window between Batman Year One, and the first Batman comic released in the New 52" Which means Batman was speed running through swapping Robin's (His Son's) almost as fast as he swaps lovers.
When Barry undid Flashpoint, it rest the continuity from scratch. This is something DC does often, they reboot their comics with Crisis Events stories to keep the characters fresh for the current audiences, even if it means altering origin stories a bit. More recently or so they’ve suggested the characters now remember all past continuities.
(2011) The New 52 wanted to Update the Justice League, and Adding Cyborg meant: 1. Adding a technology character for the modern world full of Smart Phones. 2. But they also wanted the Justice League to feel classic. So they brought back, Barry Allen the Original JLA Flash, and Hal Jordan the original JLA Green Lantern, meaning the league was back to all white people, They had to get some representation in there. Martian Man Hunter comics never sell well, so it was easy to swap him out.
I don't think you need to make it a "white people" thing. That mindset is toxic. John Stewart was in the animated series. They wanted to show the other Green Lantern here, the Green Lantern that's a hot head and arrogant. Most people don't like Hal and prefer John Stewart anyway. Poor Martian Manhunter he was amazing in the Justice League animated series.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 If I remember correctly, The New 52 had this "Mysterious monster story" that eventually turned out to be the Martian Man Hunter. I believe it was an homage, in Martian Manhunter's original origin story, when he's accidentally teleported to Earth, he scares the scientist so bad the poor old man has a heart attack and dies. So they took that fear aspect, and stretched it out into an entire story. It kind of reminds me of how the Avengers originally teamed up to stop "Monster" Hulk, only for Hulk to join the team when they realize Loki is the real threat.
Shazam orginal name in comics was Captain Marvel and dates back to the 1940's and it was that Billy Batson the kid was given the powers in flashpoint they made it that it took all ththose foster kids that lived in the same house together to make him up for some reason most of these DC animated movies are taken right out of DC comic story lines with som differances
Note: Shazam possesses the wisdom of Solomon, the strength pf Hercules, the Stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury; put it together and it spells SHAZAM!
The hero from the other movie, the one who blew up,his name is Captain Atom,I think. I don't know much about him myself, but he apparently has the power of like,20 nukes, which is just insane.
My favorite thing about Captain Atom: Even though he's a loyal U.S. Soldier and will do what the U.S. government tells him to do, If he's told to do something that puts him up against the Justice League, he tries to go about doing his job in the most upstanding moral way he possibly can. He will talk before throwing a punch. Leading to one of My favorite moments of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. Superman is entering a Government facility to free a prisoner, it is Captain Atom's responsibility to stop him so he tells Superman... Captain Atom: "I'm afraid you misunderstand. I'm speaking as an officer of the United States Air Force. I'm currently assigned to General Eiling's special projects unit, and my orders are to prevent you from taking him out of this facility. So how's this gonna go down?" *Superman and Him fight for a while* Superman: "You fought the good fight now Stay down." Captain Atom: "I can't do that Superman." *Superman knocks Captain Atom out.* Superman: "Don't you Touch him" *Then takes him for medical attention*
Omg the Batman glazing here is too much, whenever Batman breathes he’ll praise him. Dude even said GL couldn’t beat Batman not knowing Green Lantern fights superman level characters on a regular basis Characters in Terms of power levels: Superman Shazam Wonder Woman Flash Green lantern Cyborg Batman You can switch Wonder Woman and Shazam
This movie was based in the New 52 Universe that DC had rebooted too. It was an attempt to bring on New Readers by starting a new series of continuity....so in that Universe, Batman and Superman didn't know each other. Superman and Wonder Woman were attracted to one another, etc. They also were promoting Cyborg from the Teen Titans in the adult Justice League. The thinking on using Cyborg is his powerset, talking to any machine, makes more sense in the modern world with the Internet and WiFi, etc.
8:24 about that. In the season 1 finale of The Flash the giant wormhole appears and almost destroys the city and in the season 2 premiere Barry is actually working on repairing parts of the city.
Btw green lantern is someone who is on level with superman they usually just let superman be the strongest tho lol also cyborg was originally on justice league not teen titans
Right about GL not Cyborg, he even appeared in Teen Titains if I remember correctly. He was put on the Justice League by Geoff Johns in the New 52 because he liked Cyborg.
This was a good introduction to how the Justice League is as a team, and how they got to be like that. Another good movie is Justice League: Doom. I believe it falls in a separate timeline, but it really shows that Batman has a plan for everything!
The DCMAU is based on the New 52 comic book stories. Which is why many of the changes you didn't know of are because of this new comic continuity. Basically to simplify it, Barry changed the timeline and he forgot it happened. Just think of it that way, beucase you'll never get a concrete and simple explanation in the movies. Starting now everything that happens will be important. Every death is going to stick in this movie series. Heroes and villains that die in these movies don't expect theme to come back. And if you want a good origin story of Shazam then you should watch the live action movie. The animated series doesn't really cover it well, so the live action is the place to go for his origins.
Something else important I think you should know. Back before streaming services, movie Sequels often struggled to succeed financially. Because people couldn't easily watch the previous movie beforehand, they would forget important plot points, and be confused by the sequel. (It's not a coincidence that Netflix and the MCU both got popular around the same time) So most movies were written and marketed as self-contained stories. If you look up DC animated movies, Unless they were a part of the very successful and beloved DCAU, the early movies were almost all self contained. Which means you can go back and watch them whenever you want because they are not connected to anything. Obviously that changed with the DCAMU, and then the Tomorrowverse. Another thing worth knowing. DC animated Movie Film *Budgets* are an important factor in how some of these movies turned out. The old movies had Larger Budgets. The New movies are paid for with pocket lint.
I like this movie, but hate the Wonder Women depiction. Diana is a kind, gentle person to those around her and only fights to save someone else. She even worked at a Taco Bell because she didn't view the work as beneath her and she enjoyed the thought of feeding her community. This version is so off putting.
Nah this version makes way more sense for an Amazonian warrior princess just taught to fight for glory her whole life. Not like they made her a robot, she still has her kind moments. She just doesnt fit in with humanity quite yet. Her working at Taco Bell sounds way more off-putting
21:16, I don't really know to be honest, I only know that Cyborg boomed in popularity in the early to mid 2000's thanks to the Teen Titans show and the fact that he had a few supporting roles in a few Justice League movies and comics.
Also I love your rant about Batman, he’s just a dope character. WB understands the money the name Batman brings. Batman has a Hollywood star which means Warner Brothers has a spreadsheet somewhere where 50k a year is set aside to maintain his square. That’s who Batman is and the more you watch the more this comment will really settle in a lot of people’s minds.
These movies are loosely based on the New 52 comics. So basically after Flashpoint, the timeline changed again (that's why Flash's suit looked different at the end when he gave Bruce the letter) and the movies after are the New 52 timeline. One thing this movie changed was they swapped Aquaman with Shazam (in the comics they have a separate Shazam comic that explains his backstory). It also made more sense cos they used Aquamans trident and wonder woman's sword to stab Darkseids eyes instead of a random crowbar. As for Cyborg, New 52 was when he became a Justice League member because, his origin involves the motherboxes and Darkseid, etc. Cyborg actually replaced Martian Manhunter cos, that dude was put on another team in New 52. John Stewart is cool but, sadly they didn't have him in this universe much. Overall, the comics were better and did a lot more but, the movies are fun. I'd actually recommend reading New 52 on an app or something. It's a lot but, at least it's sort of condensed to its own section. New 52 Aquaman and Wonder Woman were such good comics.
@@blaze3309 03:47, that's the thing, Barry attempted to fix his mistakes from Flashpoint but it's like fixing a broken cup that shattered into a million pieces with super glue, even if you get most/ all of the pieces, even if you're skilled with the glue, even if it's pieced all together that doesn't matter because if you pay close attention you'll notice the cracks so it can never be exactly what it was from before.
The Flashpoint movie was a transitional movie just like its comic book counterpart This movie is a an arc starter, all the movie between this one and Jl Dark: Apokolips war, will share continuity except Batman vs The Ninja Turtles this cooks well enough all on its own
Something wild that has been bothering me since 2018. Aquaman, was the laughing stock of the non-comicbook fan Pop Culture for decades, driving me nuts because they don't really know anything about him and how awesome he was. Until the 2018 film finally showed why he should be respected. But now there is an unfortunate Opposite situation. Green Lantern was a respected superhero with a good reputation since his creation, Only to have it dragged through the mud by one film in 2011. Now he has been the laughingstock of Pop Culture for a decade, and it's driving me nuts because they don't really know anything about him and how awesome he is.
Shazam, also known as Captain Marvel, is a beloved superhero in the DC Comics universe. At the core of this character is Billy Batson, a young orphan who encounters an ancient wizard named Shazam. Entrusting Billy with incredible powers, the wizard grants him the ability to transform into the superhero Shazam by uttering the wizard's name. When Billy becomes Shazam, he undergoes a magical transformation, becoming an adult with immense powers. These powers are drawn from various mythological figures, each representing a different aspect: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury. What makes Shazam unique is the contrast between his childlike innocence and the immense responsibility he carries as a superhero. Billy Batson's journey is often about navigating the challenges of growing up while also facing the pressures and dangers of being a superhero.
yeah, for simplicity's sake, barry rebooted the universe at the end of the last movie, the scene of him delivering the letter to batman is nice, but it kinda doesnt really make sense, you dont really have to worry about it though, they dont bring up timeline stuff again for a while
You needed to see the end of Justice League War as in the credits cuz it sets up the next Justice League movie. Also this is the origin of the Justice League in The New 52. In the graphic novel Shazam is not their Aquaman is.
You should watch the first two episodes of Young Justice. It’s about the justice league sidekicks instead of just Batman, Superman and wonder, woman and the rest
You remember how the "time boom" Flash caused in Flashpoint changed the events of the past? Him fixing the timeline caused something similar. Things are close to how they were before, but not the same. We're seeing the past of the world he gave Batman the letter to, that scene doesn't happen till right before the final movie in this timeline. Cyborg was reimagined as a Justice League Member starting with the New 52 comic reboot, which this movie series is based on, giving us the Mother-Box origin as a way to directly tie him to Darkside. Shazam in Flashpoint is different from usual, normally Billy Batson is the main/only kid that can turn into Shazam, each letter of his name representing a god that lends him their power, but he CAN share his powers with others, which he tends to do with his siblings. (If you want a good Shazam Origin movie, the live action fil is pretty good.) In Flashpoint, this was changed so that each of the 6 siblings are tied to a single letter/god, and all merge into one. Imma be real, you completely list me with the timeline theory, i had no idea what i listening to. XD But Aquaman and the Atlantis situation is unrelated to what happened in Flashpoint, they'll be explained in the next JL movie, Throne of Atlantis.
Cyborg was made with a kryptonian mother box and a mother box alone is very powerful ability include most like anything u can think of now add a kryptonian mother box to the mix cyborg is really powerful not only can he hack into anything on earth but also alien tech since he’s basically an alien when he was transformed with the box
Love how you're seeing the DCAU but if you want to start a series that is a side timeline i suggest you Young justice. Oh and you need to watch supersons
Just to answer a couple questions you asked: 1: Cyborg is in the Justice League because of the New 52. In 2011, DC Comics rebooted their comic continuity with Flashpoint leading to the New 52. The reboot of the Justice League comics started with showing the new origin of the Justice League in the New 52 and that was adapted into this movie. Cyborg was a Justice League founder in that story, so he's also a founder here. (although, Aquaman was also a founder of the League in that story but this movie replaced it with Captain Marvel/Shazam). As for why the New 52 made Cyborg a founding member of the League, I'm not entirely sure, I assume it was to add more diversity into the League since the original Justice League founders were mainly white people with the exception of Martian Manhunter who would disguise himself as white. Don't know why they didn't just switch Hal out for John Stewart in that case but whatever. I definitely prefer him to start as a Teen Titans member and then becoming a League member later with some of his fellow Titans members, the New 52 completely ruined the Teen Titans and it took them a LONG time to recover. 2: After Flashpoint, Barry tried to put the timeline back to normal but it didn't quite work like that and the timeline was altered again, this time not being as horrible as the Flashpoint timeline, but still vastly different and Barry's memories adjusted to the new timeline. It's unclear when this film takes place in regards to the last scene of the Flashpoint film, but I would assume this is before Barry gives Bruce the note meaning before OG Timeline Barry merges with current timeline Barry. So, this Barry is technically not the Barry from the Flashpoint movie but this is the universe that was created by the events of Flashpoint and Barry will eventually remember the events of Flashpoint. At least, that's what I'm assuming happened, but we do know that this Barry at some point gets the memories of Flashpoint Barry. 3: The ending scene is a set up for the events of Justice League: The Throne of Atlantis with nothing to do with the Flashpoint timeline, I have no idea why that scene was framed like we saw the king die at some point in one of the prior films, but we didn't. 4: The DCAMU has a sorta weird reputation. Some people absolutely love it, some view it as more of a mixed bag, some absolutely despise it. The critic rating for the franchise overall averages at like a 7/10, so overall it's still considered good. I recommend just forming your own opinion, but I'll give a bit of an explanation for why some people don't like this film in particular. One of people's many problems with this universe in general is the major focus on Batman. There are 4 Batman films in this universe which doesn't sound like too much but most other heroes or teams get only 1 film for themselves besides the Justice League obviously. The only ones with more than 1 film are the Teen Titans and Superman, both of which only having 2. People's problem with this film in particular comes from just how basic it is, Darkseid invades and a bunch of heroes stop them, basically just a giant action scene that stretches across the entire film with a lack of any real character development which didn't give some people much hope in the future of this universe. Also, people HATED the New 52 and this film directly adapted a New 52 storyline which left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of comic fans and that bitterness kinda spread throughout the entire DCAMU for some fans. Most of the films aren't actually adapting new 52 comics, in fact majority of the universe is either adapting Pre-New 52 stuff or making completely original stories, but this film certainly put the idea in the minds of a lot of comic fans that these films just wouldn't be something they'd be into. 5: Fun fact, the Cyborg origin was a little different prior to the New 52, aside from him not originally being a founding member of the Justice League, he also wasn't originally rebuilt with the Mother Box, it was just some Bio-Prosthetics. This change has sense been in every version of his origin in every adaptation including the DCEU and Young Justice and I really do like the change as it gives Cyborg even cooler powers. 6: The Shazam Kids thing was just in this Flashpoint timeline, in this timeline and in mainline comics, Billy Batson is the only one that turns into Captain Marvel/Shazam. The other kids can also turn into their own versions of Shazam like Mary Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr, Freddy Marvel, etc. Also, if you're curious why I'm saying Captain Marvel/Shazam, it's because Billy's superhero name originally was Captain Marvel but after a long series of legal issues that I won't go into the title of the comic had to be changed to Shazam and eventually DC just decided to name the hero Shazam as well in the New 52. 7: As for Shazam's origin since I'm pretty sure that isn't explained in any of the films, I'll be brief and I'll be giving the New 52 origin since this film was based on the New 52 Justice League story, so it's probably taking from that origin. Billy is a moody and troubled 15 year old foster child in Philadelphia who went through several foster homes. Dr. Sivana unleashes Black Adam from his tomb and the Wizard of the Rock of Eternity starts looking for candidates to become a champion to fight against Black Adam. He summons Billy who is considered and unsuitable candidate due to him being moody and troubled but Billy is able to convince him that he wouldn't find any perfectly good people. The Wizard gets desperate and sees the embers of good in Billy and just gives him the powers, allowing him to say the word Shazam to turn into the Champion of Shazam.
To answer your question in a nutshell, the Justice League literally is cannot defeat Darkseid in this movie without Cyborg..... Also your question about why he's on the team instead of John Stewart is oddly racist because you're actually choosing one black hero over the other. It would make more sense to question why Hal Jordan is on the team instead of John Stewart since they're both Green Lanterns or why Cyborg is on the team instead of Martian Manhunter. Otherwise, why can't two black heroes be on the same team.
It was just something I was thinking about. I’ve always been more interested in John Stewart and wanted to see him in more movies to learn about him. It’s more about what makes sense superpower wise to me than anything. Didn’t have anything to do with race. Although I didn’t want to just erase the black representation completely from the movie because that wouldn’t be right.
@@blaze3309 I didn't mean to imply it was intentional, but I couldn't ignore the the way it was said because of who was talked about. I get that it had more to do with your familiarity with Cyborg being a titan. DC had actually been trying to make Cyborg a member of the league since the 80's when he first became popular. He was on the 80's super friends show called The Super Powers Team where he and firestorm were the newest members of the league at a time when he was strictly a titan in the comics so that's been a thing they've been trying to normalize since forever
Cyborg is more powerful than Batman stop with the Batman glazing Earlier in the video you said green lantern couldn’t beat Batman lol, Green Lantern is one of the most powerful heroes in the entirety of DC comics, he’s beaten characters who are Superman level, he’s help pull the earth before Batman is captain America and Black panther level of power while Green Lantern is Captain Marvel and Thor Level of power
Cyborg is definitely fit for the Justice League like most of the Titans are and he's way more powerful than you give credit for (Think about it, all the technology in the universe, all weapons and systems are under his command and he can upgrade and fix anything. In this very movie and in the Snyder Cut, they only win thanks to him. Like his father says in the former "in a world of ones and zeroes, you're the absolute master". John Sterwart and Martian Manhunter are great but they can for sure wait for their time, cuz Cyborg more than deserves his spot as a founding member) Anyway, just reminding you to check out the Snyderverse eventually! (Man of Steel, Batman Vs Superman Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Zack Snyder's Justice League)
Cyborg has been part of Justice League since late 70 and early 80. Plus he becomes integral the technology and cyberspace division. He interface with precision
Cyborg didn't even appear until like 1982 or 1983 as part of the New Teen Titans. He became a Justice League member in the New 52 continuity which was 2011 or so IIRC on the year.
@@dustynhawkeye6838 he was part of a Weekend cartoon series of the Justice League TV series. That’s what I drawing my information l. I just searched its called The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians. But it had the major JL players I am certain it counts
@@9791mij Ah yes. That was a Super Friends cartoon, which while based on the Justice League...never actually was the Justice League. The whole story behind that is in the 80's..Kenner Toys and DC came up with a toy line called Super Powers. So DC decided to do some cross promotion...they added the newest figures (I believe Cyborg was v3) to their comics and cartoons. Cyborg was featured in The New Teen Titans which was DC Comics top selling title at the time. They had limited series comics...I know v1 was a 5 issue mini series, I don't recall how many were in v2 and v3. They were OUTSIDE the regular DC Comics continuity. Even in those comics, which were made to introduce new fans of the toys to the characters, they pointed fans to the regular comics that the toys were featured in...in Cyborg's case, The New Teen Titans. The cartoon was an expansion of The Super Friends series which DID start in the 70's. The Super Friends...not the Justice League. The Super Friends used a lot of the Justice League characters in their show, but also had some that never appeared in the comics. So for simplicity sake a lot of places link The Super Friends cartoons to the Justice League. As an example...the Super Powers toyline, and comic mini series, also included Dr. Fate. He was a founding member of the Justice SOCIETY from the 1940's. He resided on Earth-2, while the later Justice League was on Earth-1...until the original Crisis on Infinite Earths event merged all the multi-verse Earths into a single Earth. So...in reality...Cyborg first joined the Justice League in the New 52 era, which these movies are based on, which was in 2011 or 2012. Confusing I know...and even the DC main website shows DC Super Powers mini series as Justice League related...as does the Wikipedia page. Technically true over all, but context isn't given on ALL aspects of the cartoon, toys, or comics. Wow...sorry for the long windedness. I'm not trying to prove you wrong or me right, just trying to add a little context you may not know of.
So for Shazam. In flashpoint the power of Shazam was giving to all the kids as a group. Normally thats not the case. Just like how Bruce died in that timeline
Just so you know bro Darkseid came before Thanos, in fact Thanos’ creator has straight up admitted he was modeled after Darkseid. To take it a step further in most cases when you see a DC/Marvel character or idea that seems similar…DC DID IT FIRST (not hate, just facts!)
The question isn't how much money these superheroes cost to the city. They aren't the ones causing destruction, the criminals they stop are the ones causing it. The question is how much money would cost to the city if those superheroes didn't do their jobs. Cyborg is there because of his relation to Darkseid and Apokolips. And because there is already 1 Green Lantern so having John Stewart would be redundant.
Darkside and his world technically exist on a higher scale of the multiverse so the Guardians of the Universe knowledge here might be limited thanks to that. Yes Darkside came first Thanos came after and by there standards they are pretty mismatched. Thanos is one of the strongest in the universe easily planet buster but still limited and with the infinity gauntlet and the stones above the abstract cosmic entities ( sentient manifestation of fundamental forces of the universe ) to where he gains authority over all aspects of the universe the stones hail from. However Darkside comes from outside any one universe and by nature the power he wields is grater than the gauntlet not bound to one universe since it comes from a higher plane the Omega Effect a multiversal force of power and entropy capable of doing anything the gauntlet does manipulating time space energy matter minds souls erasing from existence ect. that transforms the one who holds it in to a manifestation of evil and tyranny.
I can appreciate there are Great parts of each movie in the DCAMU, But there are certain things I just cannot get past. In this movie specifically: 1. Superman's cocky attitude. 2. Hal Jordan being Dumb. 3. Cyborg's New Origin Story. (I prefer the version of his origin where his mother dies in the same explosion that turns him into a Cyborg). 4. Using Darkseid this early in Justice League history making him seem like a weak threat. 5. And the BIGGEST Problem, Superman and Wonder Woman being a couple is Awful.
I personally prefer the "Cyborg is made by a mother/father box. It gives him more use and access to New Gods technology and makes him cooler. Also, I like, for this universe, Darkseid was the first villain because the rest of the series they planted hints at his return and it payed off extremely well
@@LegoMonster21774 I would actually prefer if they merged the two origins. Cyborg causing the explosion with a Motherbox/Fatherbox that kills his mother would make him feel awful and put even more strain on a relationship with a father who he already had a strained relationship with. Doubling His father being a guilt-tripping bastard, "I saved your Life" & "I'm the only family you have left since your mother/ my wife died". (insert painful wordplay about Motherbox taking away his mother, or it took a Fatherbox for his Father to care about him) I also I like the idea of him being on both Teams, Justice League and the Teen Titans. His awful father making him desperate for a healthier family, that he finds in the Teen Titans. But as the oldest member of the Teen Titans he gets to represent them on the Justice League.
Darkseid is one of the most powerful and malevolent villains in the DC Comics universe. He is the tyrannical ruler of the planet Apokolips and a god-like figure, obsessed with conquering the universe and eliminating free will. His ultimate goal is to find and harness the Anti-Life Equation, which would grant him total control over all sentient beings. Darkseid possesses immense strength, near-invulnerability, and a range of formidable powers, including the Omega Beams, which can disintegrate or teleport targets. He is a central antagonist in the DC Comics universe, often clashing with Superman and the Justice League.
I hate when people gatekeep characters, especially when its fantasy driven story or with characters that's around 40-80 years old. Telling the same story gets kinda boring. People whine about the same old same then cry about "this doesn't match the character i know or grew up with" when they try something different. Batman carried a gun is his beginning and killed, wonder woman was more combative at first, superman couldn't fly but leap.when they tried to tell stories about those beginnings people who didnt grow up with those traits for these characters hated it. Maybe expand your mind and instead of saying that a hero or villian doesn't act that way because i seen him at different in my 20 -30 years of comic book reading Maybe remember those characters are especially most dc characters are around since the 1930's -40's and just go with it. If people can except kingpin and punisher as daredevil characters when they were Spiderman villains 15 years before they even made it to daredevil then you can except cyborg as a justice league person
Honestly anyone who thinks Batman would beat Green Lantern in a fight knows nothing about them. Also Hal has the most will in DC it makes sense that he just gets back up and fights over and over again, it's why he has that ring.
Love the Batman movies in this universe. It's different but it's still Batman. And Damien's growth throughout this series is so fun and heartwarming. Everything else in the universe is hit or miss for me, but Robin was one of the reasons I stuck it out.
Dude u really need react to the whole collection this is the first in like 16 films I think can't remember off top of my head but yeah there are a few and ill be honest I wouldn't rate any lower than 7 out of 10, mabey put throne of Atlantis 6.5. But all round good time 🙌💪
When or if you watch the Justice League animated series, you will see that despite Batman being a human with no powers, he has to save the Justice Leagues ass many times. They are super powered beings and they can't solve many problems, they have to call Batman in to figure everything out. At one point they want him to join the Justice League and he's like nah I work alone, but when you need me...and you WILL need me, I'll be there. lol. Batman becomes a part timer of the league cause Gotham is his priority despite saving the PLANET numerous times.
I wish they kept his VA for Green Lantern. Don't get me wrong, I love Nathan Fillion's performances in the future, but I loved how douchey this guy sounded.
Yassss! This has to be one of my favs from the DCAU, a few other good ones are Justice League: Dark, Wonder Woman, the Suicide Squad movies and a few others
You have to react to the Dc showcase called Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam. Shazam is the name of the Wizard that gave Billy his powers. His Hero name used to be captain Marvel he was the og captain marvel back in the 1940's but for Legally reasons they couldn't use the name anymore because Of Marvel being pissy.
this universe is based on new 52 which means is not the best to get to know character just for you to know, the characters are mor pessimistic, wonder woman is a warrior instead of a peace keeper, cyborg is in justice league instead of the teen titans is a mess
You know Blaze, the question I have for you is, with how much you seem to be enjoying all these and the Batman ones, at what point does it change from "Non-Batman Fan" and "Non-DC Fan" to "New Batman Fan" and "New DC Fan"? Haha.
There are a lot of animated movies that you should watch but unfortunately this isn't one of them. This is where the animated movies started to adapt the comics they needed to sell at the time which was the promotion of their rebranding with their New 52 line. The New 52 is a failed rebranding of DC comics and every movie following this one are all based around New 52 comics. The quality of the movies dips considerably. I will list the movies that you absolutely must watch. Batman: Year One Batman: Gotham Knight (anime) Batman: Hush Part 1 & 2 The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2 (must watch) Superman: Doomsday All*Star Superman (must watch) Superman Vs The Elite (must watch) Superman: Red Son Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse Justice League: New Frontier Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Justice League: Doom You've already watched Flashpoint Paradox and Red Hood and that would also be in that list. But the rest are garbage. Justice League War is when it all started going down hill. I'm pretty sure Bruce Timm is no longer on these movies after the New 52 stuff. Which is important since he's been in DC animation since Batman: The Animated Series.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 It's the same thing. Just expands on it. I would say don't watch either. Doomsday is just kinda mandatory watching but I would say skip it.
If you think Cyborg is the Strongest Teen Titan than I am excited for you to start watching Teen Titans content. 🤭
@@ZerkaiGG "He's been a member of the Justice League for a pretty long time at this point."

If you keep going on this timeline you will know why he hasnt been or met the Titans yet. But be patience this JL War timeline is big and everything will go to place but youll see. The movie after JL War is Son Of Batman btw. Its a great timeline from start to finish 🥲
I agree tho Cyborg really don't fit with the team, & why was he in Doom Patrol? I like Cyborg but he needed to be a Titan first before a league member
Timeline 1----------------
Barry creates Timeline 2 but his memories are of Timeline 1
Timeline 2----------------
Barry tries to set things back to Timeline 1 but accidentally creates a new timeline.
Timeline 3 -----------------
When Barry created Timeline 3, he lost his memories from Timeline 1.
@@Hiro-rx8yb Perfect explanation when you take both posts and add them together. That is how they did the New 52 Era comics too.

Oh that makes way more sense then.
Yeah, the end of Flashpoint(letter delivery) happens after Batman: Hush
Yeah "He" confirms about Flashpoint in the last movie. Beside Batman there is one more character whose my fav... You will see who it is in the last movie. Actually even later on. I wont say who it is. You will figure it out eventually. He is HIM. Without HIM everything can be lost.

This is the New 52 Version of the Justice League. N52 Cyborg is Justice League in place of Aquaman.

Green Lantern being jumped will aways make me laugh.😂😂
Green Lantern telling the Flash about Batman when they first meet (in this movie) always makes me laugh. just his delivery of "yeah he's over there"
Hal Jordan's story is quite extensive in the comics.
Dick Grayson and Damian are the only two Robins in the DCAMU
And that right there is one of the biggest problems with it.
The New 52 said (and I'm simplifying here) "Basically, any Batman story *You personally Like* is still part of the continuity until we specifically decide to write a story to Retcon it. But somehow All of those stories happened in a 5-year window between Batman Year One, and the first Batman comic released in the New 52"
Which means Batman was speed running through swapping Robin's (His Son's) almost as fast as he swaps lovers.
@@spencernaugle thank god new52 is over, worst decision dc ever had
When Barry undid Flashpoint, it rest the continuity from scratch. This is something DC does often, they reboot their comics with Crisis Events stories to keep the characters fresh for the current audiences, even if it means altering origin stories a bit. More recently or so they’ve suggested the characters now remember all past continuities.
(2011) The New 52 wanted to Update the Justice League, and Adding Cyborg meant:
I miss Martian Manhunter being a founding member of the league.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265
If I remember correctly, The New 52 had this "Mysterious monster story" that eventually turned out to be the Martian Man Hunter.

This batman is voiced by Jason O'Mara so throughout this timeline of the animated movies he his batman and he does a damn good job with it.
“You can’t beat Batman in a fight, Green Lantern”, yes, yes he can. With ease.
The hero from the other movie, the one who blew up,his name is Captain Atom,I think. I don't know much about him myself, but he apparently has the power of like,20 nukes, which is just insane.
My favorite thing about Captain Atom:
Even though he's a loyal U.S.
So how's this gonna go down?"
*Superman and Him fight for a while*

Captain Atom: "I can't do that Superman."

If you want to learn more about Green Lantern, check out Green Lantern: First Flight, it’s not canon to these films but still a good story.
It's the best green lantern material of all time besides the comics

Just an fyi the Green Lantern disrespect in this movie series is insane, don’t expect him to have great moments
He has some good jokes
Yeah one of my favorite things about this movie is the relationship between Bruce and Hal. They're so entertaining to watch.
If he want's the best concrete origin for shazam either the first live action movie or the animated dc showcase.
Something else important I think you should know.
Back before streaming services, movie Sequels often struggled to succeed financially. Because people couldn't easily watch the previous movie beforehand, they would forget important plot points, and be confused by the sequel. (It's not a coincidence that Netflix and the MCU both got popular around the same time)
So most movies were written and marketed as self-contained stories.
Its new 52 wonder woman the other movies make her seem more like herself
It's really only this film where she's like this the other she's in she's alright.
@@ShirouBrandopretty much
Nah this version makes way more sense for an Amazonian warrior princess just taught to fight for glory her whole life. Not like they made her a robot, she still has her kind moments. She just doesnt fit in with humanity quite yet. Her working at Taco Bell sounds way more off-putting
On god, the new 52 early justice league books completely fumbled Diana's personality. Thank goodness her animated movie nailed what she's like
21:16, I don't really know to be honest, I only know that Cyborg boomed in popularity in the early to mid 2000's thanks to the Teen Titans show and the fact that he had a few supporting roles in a few Justice League movies and comics.
In this universe to a lot of people Batman is still kinda unbelievable despite other heroes existing
Your questions about Cyborg being on the Justice League are exactly what everyone was saying in 2011 lol. Most people prefer him on the Teen Titans
He works so well with them. I love the character so I hope no one saw it as an attack on him. I just really think he fit well with the Teen Titans.
Billy Batson's journey is often about navigating the challenges of growing up while also facing the pressures and dangers of being a superhero.

well, you see cyborg does become a member of the Teen Titans for a while but as he grew up, he wanted to be part of the Justice League which he doses
You needed to see the end of Justice League War as in the credits cuz it sets up the next Justice League movie. Also this is the origin of the Justice League in The New 52. In the graphic novel Shazam is not their Aquaman is.
Flash's costume changed at the end of flashpoint. It has lightning bolts on it now. Implying everything is still a little off.

I just subscribed. I love this movie. One movie I suggest you watch is Superman VS The Elite, it's my favorite Superman movie.
That one and all star are top tier ⭐️

Just to answer a couple questions you asked:
1: Cyborg is in the Justice League because of the New 52.
Watching you’re 🔥 reaction then I know you’ll love young justice
3:30 no Barry did put things back to normal this film is the origin of how the league first met and we’re formed
Exactly
@@popeye697 ohhhh I understand. I appreciate you friend. Sorry if it came off that way when I was talking about it.
I know you have a lot of questions now...
Just keep watching the movies in order... You'll figure it out... All your questions will be answered
Cyborg is more powerful than Batman stop with the Batman glazing
Earlier in the video you said green lantern couldn’t beat Batman lol, Green Lantern is one of the most powerful heroes in the entirety of DC comics, he’s beaten characters who are Superman level, he’s help pull the earth before
Batman is captain America and Black panther level of power while Green Lantern is Captain Marvel and Thor Level of power
John Sterwart and Martian Manhunter are great but they can for sure wait for their time, cuz Cyborg more than deserves his spot as a founding member)
Anyway, just reminding you to check out the Snyderverse eventually! (Man of Steel, Batman Vs Superman Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and Zack Snyder's Justice League)
Gotta watch ASSAULT ON ARKHAM
Loved the Super 7
😅 22:27 the pademons really jumped him
The real question is why isn't martian manhunter here. Cyborg works better with the titans than the league.
Cyborg replaced Martian manhunter in the new 52
The question isn't how much money these superheroes cost to the city.
In this movie specifically:
The DCAMU is based off the new 52 so yeah a lot of the complaints be like that.
(insert painful wordplay about Motherbox taking away his mother, or it took a Fatherbox for his Father to care about him)
I also I like the idea of him being on both Teams, Justice League and the Teen Titans.
His awful father making him desperate for a healthier family, that he finds in the Teen Titans. But as the oldest member of the Teen Titans he gets to represent them on the Justice League.
Most of these are problems that came from the comics they are based on
Bro cyborg has his part to play bro trust me let it play out man
A video on the crime syndicate of Amerika could a interesting watch
This universe got pretty much 97% of all the characters it utilised wrong. The only greatly adapted character was John Constantine.
You aren't wrong. So many of the Justice league members got wasted.

Blaze it's the original timeline where the justice league was fully created or should I say the starting point of justice league
Love the Batman movies in this universe. It's different but it's still Batman. And Damien's growth throughout this series is so fun and heartwarming. Everything else in the universe is hit or miss for me, but Robin was one of the reasons I stuck it out.
You can't tell me this kid isn't related to Lenny Kravitz
Dude u really need react to the whole collection this is the first in like 16 films I think can't remember off top of my head but yeah there are a few and ill be honest I wouldn't rate any lower than 7 out of 10, mabey put throne of Atlantis 6.5. But all round good time 🙌💪
Bro where is the dark knight rises 💀

Oh.. You didnt see the stinger?
When or if you watch the Justice League animated series, you will see that despite Batman being a human with no powers, he has to save the Justice Leagues ass many times. They are super powered beings and they can't solve many problems, they have to call Batman in to figure everything out. At one point they want him to join the Justice League and he's like nah I work alone, but when you need me...and you WILL need me, I'll be there. lol. Batman becomes a part timer of the league cause Gotham is his priority despite saving the PLANET numerous times.
I really hope Blaze watches The Death Of Superman 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 (the recent one I think a few movies after this one)
Batman is the weakest on the teem and cyborg is powerful.
Shazam is a pretty fun character!
Watch The Dark Knight Rises
I wish they kept his VA for Green Lantern. Don't get me wrong, I love Nathan Fillion's performances in the future, but I loved how douchey this guy sounded.
Who voiced him in this film?
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265Nathan Fillion
So much so they had to have an entire comic book event explaining why this timeline shouldn't exist.
@@spencernauglelmfao DC being DC it seems.
You know Blaze, the question I have for you is, with how much you seem to be enjoying all these and the Batman ones, at what point does it change from "Non-Batman Fan" and "Non-DC Fan" to "New Batman Fan" and "New DC Fan"? Haha.
“New Batman Fan” started with the title of the Batman Animated episode I reacted to! 😂
“New DC Fan” coming soon 😇
@@blaze3309 Haha, right you are. Really, I'm just glad you've been having a good time with all of these.
Batman: Year One
Batman: Gotham Knight (anime)
Batman: Hush Part 1 & 2
The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 & 2 (must watch)
Superman: Doomsday
All*Star Superman (must watch)
Superman Vs The Elite (must watch)
Superman: Red Son
Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies
Superman/ Batman: Apocalypse
Justice League: New Frontier
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
Justice League: Doom
You've already watched Flashpoint Paradox and Red Hood and that would also be in that list. But the rest are garbage. Justice League War is when it all started going down hill. I'm pretty sure Bruce Timm is no longer on these movies after the New 52 stuff. Which is important since he's been in DC animation since Batman: The Animated Series.
No Death of superman? That movie was amazing and definitely overall better than superman doomsday. even if it takes place in this universe.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 It's the same thing. Just expands on it. I would say don't watch either. Doomsday is just kinda mandatory watching but I would say skip it.
