You can't make me believe that this game hasn't aged well. I happen to think this was one of the PS3's most amazing early gems. The levels, the multiplayer mode, the co-op campaign, the arsenal of weapons; it made Xbox 360 players turn their heads. It even came out before Halo 3 did. The game's design was pretty amazing for 2006. I remember being impressed that you could shoot windows and they'd realistically crack and break off into shards, something I don't think any other game had done before that point. The graphical leap from PS2 to PS3 was incredible. Multiplayer mode was a huge selling point too. I remember at this game's peak, it had hundreds and hundreds of people playing, and it continued to have a following up until they shut it down in 2014. Beating hard mode campaign and then superhuman mode campaign will always be a highlight of my PS3 gaming days, just because I got the black ops skin for online games as a reward. I wore it proudly. Motorstorm and Resistance will always hold a place in my heart because I think they were great launch titles. I still have my first model PS3 too, so I'll always be ready to pop in this game and replay the campaign.

This game is Awesome. You have to swing and use your shield it is so freaking cool. One of the best gaming experiences I l've had as a gamer.

The metacritic score definitely seems harsh. This could easily be ...a 60? 70 even? I've always been curious about this one but never played it

The idea of a more exploratory approach to the level design sounds really cool! I really liked Sonic Heroes but never got around to trying this one out, might have to give it a try.

I have the remake on the switch. Well, it doesn’t really work as well. But I think it updated so it’s less of a problem anymore. The loading screens take forever because of course it’s on switch lol. I don’t wanna sound ungrateful, but I’m thinking about talking to see if I can get it on Xbox instead if I return the game, I’m still thinking about it but the game is actually pretty good. It’s just sometimes a lag here and there. This is basically my first time actually playing this game, I first seen this game at Best Buy a long time ago when I was a kid, I think that was the time where the Nintendo Wii was popular at the time and I think it was one of the exclusive games. When I the cover art, it was the first time I actually seen a version of Mickey Mouse that was actually bad ass from my own opinion, of course xD

I'm probably the only person who thinks Resistance Fall Of Man gameplay was perfectly fine and the story was decent, but what was fascinating to me was the lore, especially coming from a Halo fan all the way from the Xbox camp.. I've beaten the game several times on Superhuman difficulty. I feel like the franchise got progressively worse gameplay wise since 2. And 3 was terribly optimized.

Sly 3 was my introduction into the series. When I finally got a ps2, I was so happy to be able to play this trilogy. Prior to Thieves in Time, my ranking was 2, 3, 1, beaten in reverse of that order. After the first two, it sucked that there weren't any hidden vaults or clue bottles, and it feels a bit bogged down with other gameplay modes. However, while it may be missing some things from the first 2, sly 3 really has some good story and gameplay. I love how Bentley went from being basically a crappier version of Sly into his own character, with a lot more tools, gadgets, options, mobility, etc. So many good character arcs, redemptions, a melancholic yet sweet ending... 3 is not the best sly, but it's still a great game. And while Sly 4 was really fun to play, it was lacking in many other ways, including the story and too many alternative gameplay modes, plus a really annoying cliffhanger ending that will basically never be resolved. My ranking is now 2, 4, 3, 1.

You're right, it's aged PHENOMENALLY well. I just got it and I'm LOVING it. Silky smooth, FUN gameplay, and some pretty solid looks for a 2006 game (won't pass for a PS5 game anytime soon, but it still looks very nice). Better than any Halo game I've ever played (Not bad games, but boring as hell, to me)

Me as a die hard Sly 3 fan actually really appreciate the unbiased review. I have never really thought about how the bottles were missing in the 3rd game, but that is a really legitimate complaint. Great review! Thank you!

Remakes often than not harm the legacy of a game and even go so far as to add cancerous modern features into them along with castrating the unique look and feel of the games. Remakes exist solely for the companies to rehash and regurgitate IPs they do not give a single fuck about to the new batch of customers with no frame of reference and I have no hope of this ever changing no matter how good some examples might be.

Silent Hill was never good and I'm no zoomer. It's ridiculous how there're some games that you can't criticize without having a mob drop on you for it, trying to rewrite history to present a reality where everyone loved or was amazed by certain releases.

The sly series, ratchet and clank and the jak & daxter games were my childhood haha still play jak 2 and 3 every couple of years or so

I hope I’ll get this for Christmas or my birthday. I LOVED the original game, even though I’ve NEVER finished it. I got stuck on the fair level with the Ticket Booth. I get SO turned around EVERY time I went through there.

I had problems with the Resistance 3 disc back in the day. The other games ran fine, but Resistance 3 never ran properly. The game took ages to install and never ran well. I just thought the disk was bad and only played the game until recently with the RPCS3 emulator. Great game. Too bad I couldn't play it back then.

The Resistance trilogy was more deep than their first game Disruptor back when the playstation didn't have analog sticks.

Most of these old games need to be played on Easy. I love the story and guns in Resistance. However, 1 is very hard, 2 n 3 are much better games.

Its not tht dated. The AI is actually pretty good. Unique weopons and lore. Common piss filter lol. U can ads. The music and atmpsphere is solid

Resistance 1 and 3 were fantastic games. The 2nd one is awful though. Such terrible game design and a complete copy of trends at the time.

My first ps3 died (ylod) on me, like after a year. When I took the game out, it was Rssistance 2. So yeah, I also blame the game for the damage😂

I replayed the story a few months ago and i personaly think its aged great, had as much fun as i did when i first played it all them years ago

ah, as someone who loves RFOM to death, i agree with you with some of the aspects, such as bullet spongy enemies and the ESPECIALLY horrid checkpoint system. oh i hated that thing. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH THE WIDOWMAKER IT SUCKS ASS AND SO DOES THE WHOLE RIVER THAMES MISSION AS A WHOLE
