This is a great conversation. Thanks
This was great. You goon.
The comradary is so fun to watch. Taking down strawmen is also fun but I enjoyed the conversation just as much.
🤯🤯🤯
I wish I could go to seek!
Always great to see you guys working together. Shout out to Steve.
30:15 he doesn't understand presbyterian denominations. The OPC isn't in the PCA. The OPC was founded decades before the PCA.
@@TimMartinBlogger it is absolutely impossible to keep track of all these acronyms
@KyleWhittington if he doesn't know them, he shouldn't use them.
I'm blessed that I never formally joined one of these splinter groups because my introduction to the Catholic Faith was through the Dimond Brothers.
You are a city in the valley, a light which can definitely be hid.
Laura came across as the flip side of the same coin with a sense of “We are the true Catholics.” As a convert, I have been told twice that my conversion (30+ years now) wasn’t complete given my outlook. Once from a “Rad Trad” because I wasn’t as extreme as him and once by two “Novus Ordo” Catholics because they claimed I’m schismatic for attending one of the diocese’s FSSP parishes. So I find “Trad Recovery” as off-putting as I would “Novus Ordo Recovery”.
To be clear: no one is suggesting that the FSSP is schismatic. But I agree that the name is bad.
@@KyleWhittingtonI wasn’t suggesting that. Merely pointing out that in my experience the “Novus Ordo” side of the house has every bit as much of an elitist crowd as the trads that sees the trads as lacking in spiritual maturity. Heck, even had some “Novus Ordo” folks tell me that I only prefer the Old Mass because I am likely ADHD and can’t operate in the new Mass.
Recognizing an error on one side of the coin doesn’t mean excepting the opposite error on the other side . If you were in full communion with the Church and in agreement with the formal position of the FSSP then you are not in favor of separatist schism groups like sede’s or SSPX types who function outside the Church . If that’s the case you are in agreement with those who were interviewed. Or would you rather they remained in schism?
@@mycatholicexperience8409 You miss the point. What I'm not in agreement is with Catholics of any flavor taking "holier than thou" positions in these matters whether it be a so-called "traditionalist" (broad category there) or one who only attends the Novus Ordo. And indeed, there are plenty of folks in the latter category who wrong pass judgement on the former and I think the name of this group and her attitude reminds of that. BTW, this same group of "Novus Ordo" Catholics (to include a diocesan priest) were open about there not wanting to attend a procession of the Blessed Sacrament in a very public place...approved and endorsed by the Bishop...because the "traditionalist FSSP" was sponsoring it.
@ on that point I don’t disagree with you , I think Lara would also agree with you on that point . As far as the name goes “trad recovery “ I think it has be clarified several times how the term “trad” is being used , certainly is not applying that to faithfull Catholics like you who attend the TLM .
The Divine Liturgy is beautiful.
huh . . . tese me with the title . . . keep me by starting the episode talking about me . . .
Awesome story!

I just have to say that the Catholic Church did everything they could to keep us from getting the Bible. William Tyndale was translating it to English for us and the Roman Catholic Church executed him by strangulation and then burned him at the stake. Doesn’t seem very Christian to me. My point is if it was up to the Catholic Church we wouldn’t have our own Bible today. The Catholic Church has a very dark past. They were not the first church. The Messianic Jews were the first church.
Yeah, none of that is true
@@KyleWhittington umm yes it is. All it takes is a simple google search and you will see the truth if you want to. Doesn’t seem like you’re open to it.

You can copy and paste this comment as much as you want, it doesn’t make it more true. All of this is false. Messianic Judaism wasn’t a thing until the 1800s. Your narrative around Tyndale is also completely false.
Looks like we are going to have to buy #Drew a paddy cap
Dealing with my friends with humility has been super challenging, but i was given enough grace to recognize my pride. I went from being someone they looked up to for my biblical knowledge and faithfulness to God to persona non-grata, a source of suspicion, and embracing idolatry. It has been a struggle to just give that up to God and not react to my own personal insult. That whole "turn the other cheek"... This isn't about me. Its about God.
When #DrewsCoup ends, can I be his court composer?
In regards to the dogma of no salvation outside the Church, I think one way to reconcile Florence and post V2 theology, is to say that every non Catholic who genuinely seeks truth in his life, will have a chance just before death to accept the fullness of that truth in a supernatural way (like an angel or Jesus Himself will appear to him). God is merciful.
the workshops were great!!
Between the hat, the glasses, and the beard, I’m beginning to lose the ability to distinguish between Drew and Kyle.
The big reveal at this years conference is our inevitable merging into one super nerd.
That’s racist
They definitely could be brothers
