gworrrl - same re: shorties v magic loop. in starting my very first ever top down sweater knit in the round, I started with magic loop and nearly lost my mind and all hope of ever knitting any garment in n the round. I had loosely looked into shorties before starting the sweater, and I only saw unfavorable experiences. But I was having such a bummer time with magic loop, I though eff it and got shorties. It is now a whole new world, filled with hope and enthusiasm. 🌈 ⛅️ I'll never look back. 🤓

Love your color work!. I add markers in between the pattern repeat when I'm knitting color work. It helps keep me on track and I catch the mistakes really fast.

I always love your videos-you’re so funny and entertaining. I do a ton of colorwork, but I haven’t been brave (or spendy) enough to use mohair in a colorwork pattern.

I don't know how you can wear socks with different sizes! 😂 It would drive me mad! I do 48 stitches for DK socks, but I usually knit mine with 2.75mm needles (3.00mm if it is a kind of chunkier yarn) and definitely do it in rib. My most worn socks are a pair of dk ribbed socks in this horrid baby poop yellow yarn I dyed myself🤣 So comfy though.

You can felt your boot socks in the dryer to get them to fit better, plus is they will be even warmer

my fav knitting podcast! :) a tip for working in colorwork - i like to use stitch markers to separate each chart section repeat - not sure if it applies for the design you're doing depending on how wide each section repeat is, but it really helps minimize any counting you have to do, and might help especially with those increase rounds!
