Congratulations on your engagement and thanks for sharing! I do see a lot of creators say “you’re here for the knits, not me!” and every time I’m baffled and wondering what comments people are sending in to give that perspective. 😅 Yes, I’m here for the knitting but I’m also here for the person. If I didn’t like the person, I wouldn’t watch or engage, no matter how good the knits. Obviously we only know as much as you choose to share, but from what I’ve seen so far, I’m down to watch, listen, and support whatever you choose to share and show us. 😊 Side note, your hair has gotten so long from what I can tell. And it’s beautiful.
honestly I think you’re very much succeeding in branching out and trying new designers, one of the reasons I come back to your podcast is BECAUSE you have so much variety in patterns and designers!! anyway, congrats on the engagement and happy belated birthday :)
hahaha you saying 'i don't have that much to show you' but continued showing a true wip parade, love it 😂 the pink yarn is perfect for the cognac cardigan! i didn't use much at all so i don't think you'd need to buy more of the fluff!
Maybe you're overwatering your pothos...? They don't need much water, maybe once a week, allowing the soil to dry out in between. They also don't love direct sunlight. Love the red socks, wish I didn't hate sock knitting 🤷🏼
Lovely knits and congrats. If you do the festival sweater your size just do the first three bobble rows as they will become too annoying unless you are super patient 😮. Loved the all the wips. My staff member killed one of those plants by overwatering, chop it back, repot it in case it’s drowning in anaerobic water and only give it half a cup of water every 2 weeks until weather gets hotter.
I also am using Brooklyn Tweed Peerie discontinued! In Muslin. I love it, and I am making the Hezea cardigan from Ravelry. I am also not a fast knitter I am an English style knitter, but I have tried continental and like it I just learned the other way and go back to it because it feels more effortless and continental I have to remember what I'm doing. I am a bigger size almost a plus size and ended up buying more Brooklyn Tweed on Ravelry just to make sure I have enough!
I think you will like the Cobasi. I have knit two sweaters with it. They are drapey, which goes well with Austin summers. It also makes good summer socks that wear well. I hope you enjoy knitting with it.
If you're having difficulties meeting gauge when you are knitting back and forth. Try using different size needles on the one end that you purl from and a little bigger needle from the knit side. If you're using interchangeable needles that is 😉 Like try like 5,5 mm in one end (knit) and 5 mm in the other end (purl side). I used to have this problem too, but when I finally learned that hack, I had managed to have the same gauge/tension on both sides... (was that a horrible explanation??) Love your content btw, so just keep it coming 😊....greetings for a sunny and (finally) warm-ish Norway 😎
I may also have a bunch of Holst Princess that I bought for 'swatching'. It's just so pretty. I don't know if you've knit with it before or not, but as a hot tip, it's great to block it with some dish soap so it's nice and soft. 👑🦄
I've 100% sat on my chiaogoos before and just try to straighten them out... seem to still work okay even tho it's slightly curved. Eventually I'd buy new ones but totally workable if you're trying to cut back on needle buyin. I finally tried the carbon fiber dpns by knitters pride and those are totally designed to without my dpn dropping, needle sittin self.
I can confirm that Festival sweater bubbles making was unpleasant and felt like it was taking forever to finish. The wost part was that my son refused to wear it for as long as he outgrown it and then has been wearing it for a short time. Made it two times, todler sizes, did not enjoy at all the process, will not make the adult version :)
Nice to see you Jenny!!! Just settling in 😃👏🏼🧶 is that your boyfriends sweater on you?😃👏🏼… I did that kids sweater also and felt the same about the back… beautiful pattern but was thinking it would’ve been cool to start beginning of round at like the left back shoulder ya know? Just a bit less visible to the eye but it’s a clever little pattern 😃👏🏼🧶 I found my chai goos helped with those increases 🤷🏻♀️

Oh, wow! congratulations on your engagement. You are 1 year younger than my daughter. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you 🫶🩷

Happy to see you Jenny. I have knit summer shortie socks with the CoBaSi. Love them. .
Try giving the plant some food and by that I mean fertilize it. Entertaining video once again.😊

Omg thanks for the tip!
Congratulations on getting engaged AND turning 30!
reporting live from stockinette hell in the body of the ttthin sweater lol! love the color you chose!
the knit on that minto sweater is so pretty 😍 oversized is best size
not gonna lie, would love to see more of vlogs, take us with you in a trip someday
Omg cobasi is my fave summer yarn!! You’re gonna love!
Wait ima be so wrecked if it’s discontinued 😭

Play the plant some classical music, they love it
Ito mohair is kinda of like that in terms of thicker cord
The Holst cones are 500g each I think so you probably bought 1000g of yarn
Oh that explains why I have so much of this yarn 💀
Where do you source Knitting for Olive in NYC?!? (fellow New Yorker here)
I got this online! But Brooklyn General Store also stocks some KfO in store if you want to go touch it in person 👀

OH no!!! I'm validated that others have had this experience about the bobbles but sad to hear about your kiddo not wanting to wear the sweater 😭

That’s a good idea, might change the start of the round if I make it again!
