I love your "heehee haha" podcast even tho I'm old enough to be your grandmother. Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers. I'm not surprised. I'm reading a book that has shed a lot of light on the fashion industry and how detrimental the mass making of clothing is for our planet. It's not talked about very much. We dispose of clothing and don't give it a second thought about where it ends up. I love that knitters, crocheters and sewists are making clothing that lasts and satisfies our crafty imaginations. Good for you to make a crochet bag that the fashion industry sells for much more than its worth. Can't wait to see it! Stay cool!
Congrats on the 10K subscribers. I love when a new podcast of yours pops up. The teal striped sweater is so fun and the colors on your are great. Can't wait to see the products of your paper flowers journey --no pressure!!
About the paper flowers for your wedding flowers. My youngest daughter liked to travel and when she got married, my older daughter made her wedding bouquet and gents flowers out of maps! It was a great sentimental item and the younger daughter had the bouquet on her shelf to remind her of all the travels and love the other sister put into her flowers. So,learn how to make the flowers and see where that will take you. But start early!!! Congrats on 10K subscribers.
I DO see the vision!! I think the acrylic yarn will work out better for the vest because you don't exactly expect a vest to keep you warm anyway. Congrats on hitting 10k, you deserve it! You seem so spontaneous and chaotic at times and it inspires me so much to be more free and creative with my knitting even though I'm a beginner!!!!
I agree with you about the scrap purse. I don’t like crochet in high fashion for that reason. I’d rather pay someone and know the hands that made it or make it myself.
Your Min Hee-jin sweater is amazing lol. I love the way the cotton looks. Your podcast is my favorite to listen to! If you go to the fabric district it would be fun to see another vlog :-)
RE: paper flowers/wedding decor. I stood up in a wedding for two of my friends and the bride CROCHETED all of the flowers. Bouquets, boutonnières, decor, everything. They got married in 2021, so she had a lot of free time to make things 😅 making things for your wedding is stressful but so worth it, bc then your guests also get to keep those things as a reminder. I still have my bouquet!
congrats on 10k Jenny, that is awesome. I am currently knitting in Montreal where the humidity is about 1000%! Working on. Rota Sleeveless Top with Jody Long Cottontails. It’s super soft cotton. Feels very lux. Stay cool!
Always love watching your videos. Your projects are so different from mine, and that’s what’s cool to see. Also; your hair look bomb! Will you drop your hair care routine in the next vlog? ❤
I’m laid up in bed and crocheting squares from the insane amount of sock yarn I have. Also, Jenny, get your self Knit Companion to tackle pattern management!!!
Looking good!! Great sweater, that’s my color! I always get a tickle watching you yapping! Congrats on 10K!! 🎉🙌🏻🥂🙌🏻🎉. A lot of work went into that well deserved milestone!!
I am loving the vision for a black + scrappy mohair neon sweater or vest. The glow is incredible! Great job on the finished sweater, and congrats on 10K! It is WELL DESERVED
🎉 love it love everything about it. Thank you for making such enjoyable videos! Closing in on the first colourwork sweater FO for myself but Tour is this month so focusing on spinning a bit more.
Congrats on 10K subscribers!! I have just finished the yoke of the Summer Sorrel and am on to easy stockinette in the round. My yarn is Estelle Yarns Rainbow Confetti. Nice soft and light summerv yarn.
Congratulations on 10 000 subscribers 🎉! It is always a pleasure to watch your podcasts. Sometimes I am sceptical about your projects but they always end up looking fantastic! I love your new sweater FO, you are rocking it it looks really good on you! Right now I am working on a Vellichor top, a cumulus tee, a vertiligne tee and a summer Zweig tee, plus lots of spinning for Tour de Fleece 😊
Grats on the 10K! Getting glowy towards the end lol. I feel you, I would be dead without the aircon on all the time. Love the colour combo of the meme sweater, saving that inspo for a future project.
I finished my first summer top with my Ripple Worsted Top by Jessie Maed, now I've cast-on the Lydia 2.0 and also some socks where I'm really trying to get the fit right.
Congratulations on the 10k.🎉 The heat is definitely slowing down my progress on my Garden Cardigan. I get a row done and can’t wait to get it away from me. 🥵
I laughed so hard at the first 10 seconds of this video. And BECAUSE OF THAT I am going to be the person to crush everything you said about the comments being positive and I'm gonna say: girl just rip back that ribbing and do some decreases so the sleeves fit you at your wrists. Do it before you weave ends in and it won't even be a big deal. that sweater is so funny and it deserves to be worn and you will get so much more wear out of it if it's not driving you crazy. I feel I can morally tell you this because I just painstakingly tinked back a bunch of rows to shorten a sleeve that had a similar problem.
congrats on 10k kniting queen!! i have hope well see the minto sweater in time for the winter. oh off topic but your hair in the begging of the episode look so fluffly and pretty, very k idol style and btw, really liked the newjeans references, nice job edditing!
Cobasi is an interesting yarn. I just got some to try for a ribbed tank because I want stretch without woollen warmth. Can see using it more generally if I like it.
Had so much fun watching your Podcast 😀 Especially your thoughts about the crochet bags are rather familiar to me. I actually crochet the Cetara Bag with Raffia (it‘s hard on my hands 😬, but worth the effort). And of course there are several summery projects on my needles. Look forward to Finishing my Shore Tee by Anne Ventzel
We should make a lot's of scrappy bags. I was going to knit but I got some migraine instead... 🤕A summer top is soon to be done. EMMA top by Susanne Muller I don't like the pattern writing style and it's not size inclusive and it's worked flat but the top looks cute. Your sweater turned out great. Looking forward to see the braided sweater done.
Congrats on 10k subscribers!! I really feel ya on the tight collar - glasses removal process - RIP me re-knitting same collar 4x. My mind also follows the same thoughts on high fashion and crochet/knit pieces - yay breaking the mental model that fashion should cost pennies, but also who is really getting the profit in the process for higher priced items? Looking forward to seeing your $3.99 handmade version~
Okay, hear me out. What if you make those flowers and then after the wedding you make a garland from them and hang it in your office? It would be nice to keep them on display. And definitely less wasteful than real flowers, of course if you plan to keep or reuse them. I already said it, but you deserve all the subscribers you have and definitely way more, you are so funny and chill. Oh, and could we get a vlog from the fabric district if you'll go there to buy those leather handles?
Hi, I wanted to start off by saying that I love your videos! I have been knitting for a while and wanted to cast on a simple stockinette sweater. I really loved the look of the Simply Your Sweater that you made and I decided to buy yarn and cast on. For context, I have knitted the Moby sweater(petite knit) and was able to finish it with no major issues. I figured that the pattern would be easy enough to knit since I have read charts before. However, I am struggling to knit the short rows right at the beginning of the project. I have read the pattern over and over again but I can't seem to wrap my head around it. I was wondering if you ran into this issue. (Also sorry to bother you)
Ooh yes that part also stumped me a bit in the beginning. Basically you have to kind of ignore the stitch counts on the chart itself for the short rows and follow the written counts in your size below. So it'll be like: row 1 knit across row 2 purl across until first number, turn row 3 make gsr and knit across row 4 purl until gsr + second number, turn ... so on and so forth - hope that makes sense!
I’m knitting the Tulleries Polo as well 😀 I just don’t get it. Are you supposed to knit the stitches as you read them on the wrong side or reverse them in your head? Probably a silly question…
you're supposed to reverse them! I think it's easier for me to think about the wrong side row as a row to resolve the eyelets, and you just follow the pattern established on the other side.
@@futurefiber thank you! I started again and it looks how it’s supposed to be I guess. Wondering if I really want to do the polo or just a tee…12 rows in 🙈

Me too!

I died when you said "I am so behind that I am ahead". It is really all about mindset shift 🤣 congrats on the 10k!🥰

You crack me up. Love how real and genuine you are - breath of fresh air!! New favourite channel ❤
Close knit community…ha good one! My friend’s husband’s gym buddy’s wife knits flowers and sells them. Bet they’re quick to knit 😊
I agree with you about the scrap purse. I don’t like crochet in high fashion for that reason. I’d rather pay someone and know the hands that made it or make it myself.

I haven't even started any summer knits yet, so I'm even more behind (or ahead!) than you.😅 Thanks for the update! ❤ from the Netherlands
Same 😂😂😂
I so enjoy your videos, I know they’ll be informative and fun. Keep knitting sharing (also the paper flowers sound like such a good idea).

Congrats on 10k!! Also I’m being very tempted by the Tuileries polo and seeing you cast it on is influencing me 🫣
I've used the CoBaSi and honestly didn't love it. The texture you like is specifically what I didn't like. 😂
I can definitely see how it won't be suitable for all patterns!
congrats on 10k! The online knitting/crafting community is such a good part of the internet-- Future Fiber discord server when?
Grats on the 10K! Getting glowy towards the end lol. I feel you, I would be dead without the aircon on all the time. Love the colour combo of the meme sweater, saving that inspo for a future project.
These are always so fun to watch. Enjoy your knitting !
I also just cast on the Tuileries Polo and had the exact same experience with the files! Took me so long to sort it out.
Yay for 10k! You attract what you put out into the universe. The new FO looks great 💞 and I'm so jealous of your newfound lavender wealth!!
I finished my first summer top with my Ripple Worsted Top by Jessie Maed, now I've cast-on the Lydia 2.0 and also some socks where I'm really trying to get the fit right.
congrats on the 10K!!! my fave knitting podcast 👏
Congrats on finishing the sweater! It looks great
Congratulations on the 10k.🎉 The heat is definitely slowing down my progress on my Garden Cardigan. I get a row done and can’t wait to get it away from me. 🥵

Really like your podcast, and I am also casted on tuileries polo

Congrats on 10k Jenny!! That sweater looks so good on you lol
👍🏽 Your podcast is very entertaining 👍🏽
I would be interested in paper flower making videos 😊
I even purchased a tutorial but didn’t started it yet.

I am almost done with my Stella Top and I am swatching for the Lost Tank. Both recommended by one of your summer top videos. 😄 Congrats on your 10K!
omg! I hope you like them
I kept saying "Terry cloth. It's called terry cloth" but somehow you didn't hear me through the screen 😂
Congrats on 10k!
Thank you

Ooh that's a great idea- I'll have to test run some of these flowers!
[15:10] I am so behind on this, that now I am ahead.
My personal mantra from now on 😅
Im working on Maud blouse by fabelknitwear and a vest by Lærke Bagger
