I thought the waistband would make a good strap for the bag - but it looks amazing as is! I’ve crocheted with Tshirt yarn before and that was so hard on my hands so I feel your pain.
This is such a fun project and I laughed so hard at "jarn". Knitting is really my only handwork skill and videos like this make me regret it a bit, you used a bunch of skills for this project and you put old stuff to good use! My hand stitching looks just like yours, too...
WOOOW you’re denim bag looks great, your a very adventurous girl so I hope it will encourage you to make more stuff with no pattern. I’m very old now and have never bought a pattern, I see something that I like…get the yarn, do a tension square put it against my favorite sweater or vest , a bit of math and away you go !!!Anix🍓
Hey Jenny! I feel so depressed lately that I'm forcing myself to knitting and crocheting as much as eating and sleeping. Your episodes inspire me not to quit it completely. Thanks for that! Keep sharing your stuff please and enjoying crafty things. 🎉 the bag sounds nice and I do have some jeans that don't look that great now
what a coinsidence I cannot believe, three days ago I decided to cut my old clothes into straps and knit a bag! I did like small one with flap, only things left for me to finish to buy some hardware and install it! Now I will watch your version :D
Very neat, well done. And I don't know about it looking homemade...I bet most people would think you bought it at some trendy NY boho shop. (I don't know if that is a real thing in NY but sounded good to me.)
I super relate to going to the store for a bigger crochet hook and not remembering to get new rotary cutter blades while you're there. This is such a cool project. I want to try it with some of my scraps.
the way I pounce on each of your new episodes. 😂 Your podcast is one of my staple comfort shows now, and I often loop a playlist 😅 I think it's because the chaos gremlin in my brain is at least cousins with yours LOL 👾👾 Anyway - super fun and practical and climate friendly j'project and cute summer Jaccessory! 🌿👜👖
I love your sense of adventure!! The jean bag is really cute. Gladly I have no brain for crochet so I can save a trip to Goodwill or my closet with 30 years of old denim!! I think if you cut off the pocket of the pants and sewed it inside the bag for a cell phone pocket!!
Ahhhhhhhhh!!! The bag is so so so so so so cute, and inspiring, and the doo-dads add so much to the charm! Very fun video to watch. also as an aside, I love the painting you have in the background behind the sofa and especially paired with your funny yellow guy.
Great job on the crochet bag!! I have been using the PRYMs knitting needles for a long time now. I love how the rounded tip assists to slide into the stitches. Give them a try. They have been ergonomic for a long time.
I love how it turned out! I wonder if I could make something similar out of t-shirts that I'm too sentimentally attached to to get rid of, but haven't worn in 10-20 years. I've been looking for the right project for them since I know a blanket would just take up space and not be used.
I'm nursing a sore wrist, elbow and shoulder right now from a cotton yarn project, so this made me hurt just thinking about it! I like the idea, though. I wonder how thin you might be able to make those strips 🧐

The bag is super cute! The gradient really worked as did the gold.
Lost it at the Soulja Boy pic bc yeah. That’s also the last time I wore low rise jeans 😂 such a cool project! That looks awesome!

Wow! Awesome job, that is a really cool looking bag! Using old jewelry as embellishments and zipper pulls is a great idea. Thanks so much for sharing.

that's a great idea! You could probably sew any graphic parts onto the bag as patches or on the inside for fun toooo
I say use whatever side you like. 🙃
Wow🎉
Make a bag and get a bag (sponsored) 🥰

IMO the right side is the side I like better 🤷🏻♀️
