I was going to create this channel around the theme of staying fit over 60. Then, I realized that I am actually closer to 70. Bummer! But, staying fit over 70 seems to be a pretty good goal. What about being fit over 67? It is my actual age and also a typical retirement age for a lot of people.
I am not an athlete or coach. I just enjoy variety of outdoor activities or being in nature, especially, with a camera. Since young age I've been involved in paddling, sailing, hiking, running and biking. For the last 20 years I've been doing some long distance paddling races more like a finisher than competitor.
In recent years my focus shifted from strict training and paddling to healthy lifestyle and bio hacking.
I would like to share some of my experiences and challenges. Maybe, I will inspire somebody. At the same time creating these video clips and writing a related blog will help me to stay motivated.

55 years of paddling ... Time to retire? Or ...
มุมมอง 17014 วันที่ผ่านมา
I've been paddling kayaks, canoes, outrigger, packraft, SUPs for 55 years. Is it time to retire? Or, just to change perspective. It's never too late to learn something new! I am learning and practicing solo sculling with Literace 1x, a rowing shell by @Liteboat. I may be looking back in my rowing shell, but I am moving forward. Looks like you press on. Nice "look back," The ability to look back when the catheter and wheel chair arrive is why I started filming my outdoor content to begin with. Nice video.

Never look back! You can't change the past, but you may shape the future.
I may be looking back in a rowing shell with a sliding seat, but I am moving forward! :)
I have about the same number of years in solo paddlecraft but after two recent experiences with vertigo for safety's sake I realized that I needed to better self-insure my return to my lovely wife by switching to rowing. It was a very easy transition and the peace of mind that I now have paddling a Whitehall Wherry, a boat large enough for me to fall into rather than out of is most comforting (for both of us). Retire from work? Certainly. Retire from being on the water? Never! Regards from Poulsbo, WA, John
Thank you, where did you get your cap? 🙏

Beautiful beautiful. I thank the gentleman who put this up for everyone, thank you so much.🪷✨️
I think this race is incredible, and I challenge anyone who thinks they have fortitude to try it. Practice and training first, though.
What is the weight of those. I currently using 2kg
7 lb each (~3.1 kg)
@@fitover67 Thank you! Eventually I will get there.
God bless you 🙏. Thank you for sharing 🙏
I would love to try this.
What size is the bike? It looks small when you're on it. I'm thinking of buying one, but I want to be sure if your bike is small size. ty.
It is 54 cm frame, I have rather short legs.
I found it to be hard on bearings. Next year I’ll try full ceramic.
No, thank you for inspiring🕊
Thank you🕊

I was thinking about buying one, greetings from Poland
Hi! New to paddle boarding and have been to Boyd twice since march. Where’s the best place to launch? We went by the marina on the west side but it was super busy and lots of boat traffic. I’m just getting my “legs” so I’m staying close to shore, but I’m wondering if there is a better place to launch. Thanks so much!
I usually drive to one of parking lots in the northern part of the lake. A rowing beach (next to rowing shells) is probably the most convenient. If the water level is high the last parking lot also works. Happy paddling, Marek
Thanks so much! I’m so excited to start this adventure!
God Bless You ❤
Grazie x il video. Posso usarlo con una protesi di ginocchio? ❤
Knee replacement? Well, I don't know about knee replacement and your specific condition. However, you don't have to jump on trampoline. Certainly, you can start with more gentle exercises like standing and doing upper body workout (see my Indian clubs), walking, or even sitting or laying down on the trampoline. I would consider mini trampoline as rehabilitation tool.
@@fitover67 yes, knee replacement. Thank you for answer
Ha, found. And i was about to sell my clubs. Thanks for the demo. 3/26/24
I still sold them.. ahhhhhh
Thank you 🙏🏾

Do you still have it? How is it holding up?
I am using these Persian meels a few times every week. Some dents and scratches. I am exercising outdoors, so at some point I may need to refinish the bottom of these meels.

Hi i am nearly finished my graduate diploma in lifestyle medicine and am a trained CHIP and FFL facilitator. I watched this video with curiosity and 100% agree that as we age balance is super important. I recently had a same age woman (60) tell me that she didn’t need CHIP because she was already ‘well educated’ about health and wellness. I was a bit taken aback because I am going to find a way to do my PhD on the topic because i simple realize that there is so much more to learn. Well done! I hope to meet a same age man who shares my views on extending our lifespan and living a purposeful life.
I love your videos
Do you have the 49 inch?
I want to order a Bellicon but haven’t decided on strength of bungees. Can you recommend. I heard it’s better to get one size stronger than needed. I want the 49 inch with bar.
I've got 49" Belicon trampoline with strong bungees for my 180 lb. After 16 months of rebounding I am just replacing them with extra strong. If you are more fitness oriented I believe its better to get stronger bungees that recommended for your weight. fitover67.com/bellicon-mini-trampoline-buying-experience/
I have just started rowing with the Concept 2 rower: amzn.to/3QU73Le. There are many health and fitness benefits of a rowing machine, but for me preparation and training for real boat sculling on water is the most important.
is there a reason you choose the over steel club / clubbell?
I am not sure if I understand your question. I exercise with Persian meels (mostly outdoor, not enough room inside), Indian clubs (mostly when rebounding on a trampoline), and heavy steel clubs as well (more compact and easier to work indoor). Persian meels vs steel clubs - very different dynamics.
I was looking at these meels but I already have steel clubs. I just wanted to know if there are any advantages with the wood meel. You stated that the dynamic is different ? How so? The feel of the rotation? Thanks.
@@TheGhu123 I am using heavier steel clubs than Persian meels. For me they provide more a strength workout. Persian meels are more about movement and flow. Some call this meditation in movement.
@@fitover67 I just oder a pair of the 7lb meel from revolution clubs.

WHAT HE IS SAYING BY TAKING A NATURE BATH IS THAT; Nature; trees; outdoors; fresh air; is of ONLY POSITIVE VIBRATING ENERGY. And being outside around TREES, IN THE FOREST, OUTSIDE ON THE GRASS; Releasing all the accumulated EMF (ELECTROMAGNETIC FREQUENCIES) we intertwine with on a daily basis while inside buildings. Wi-Fi emf’s, electronics emf’s, microwaves, refrigerators, TV’s, Radios, Tablets, Laptops, etc, etc. These EMF’s can negatively impact each of our individual authentic and unique invisible electrical magnetic field that surrounds our physical body. Causing stress, short tempers, easily agitated by the smallest thing. Trouble falling asleep. Lose touch with our inner-voice(intuition) aka our connection to our higher self/ our higher state of awareness/ our higher consciousness. Which is our direct connection to source. That “Still Small Voice). The Kingdom of Heaven is from Within.
Are you sincerely asking your audience? Or is your question rhetorical in nature?
I would say it is a self reflection question.
