Speculation. 1up is bought by Atgames or some other larger company within 2-5 years. This rehash of existing games is becoming like re-leasing of old classic movies on DVD\BluRay multiple times.

The design of this 2nd Gen Deluxe does have potential but it's hard to say for sure

Thanks for the video. Q: Do the Atgames video pinball machines continue to play all purchases games when offline? The concern is if ATgames servers are offline in the future, how does that impact the ability to play purchases games (ie game packs). It is understood leaderboards and subscription services would be unavailable. We have seen other software\hardware become unusable because servers are no longer online, sometimes indefinitely.

Bill, I don't own the Atari 50 collection yet, but will be getting it when the expansion releases. Too many games, so little time :) I do think there was a HUGE MISS here as far as a collaboration that brewed in my head. When Arcade1Up released their last Atari Legacy cab, when I saw it, I really got my hopes up, because somehow I thought this cab might have the Atari 50 collection installed on it. Could you imagine? All the great games in the Atari 50 collection, with all the interviews and extras, in an arcade cabinet format? And then getting updates with new games and materials via wifi like the other platforms this collection is on. I think this cab would have been a true triumph for Arcade1Up and Atari and give Arcade1Up it's first expandable games cab. But alas, we didn't get that. The lack of where-with-all at either Arcade1Up, or Atari, or both, is staggering. If it had decent controls, I would've bought a cab like that. And that's why I'm not concerned with Arcade1Up going silent and not releasing much. I have little faith that they are going to make another cabinet that will personally interest me. And it's not like the old days where I have room to buy just any new thing. I have no more room for 3/4 scale cabs in my Home Arcade, so Arcade1Up is now competing with all the cabs I already own and love. For something new to go in, something has to come out. Home Arcade companies have to really step up their game now if they want a place in the Video Game Vegas Arcade. So excited for this even more robust Atari 50 expanded collection! vgv

Jackal!!!! The best arcade game ever. Choplifter in a jeep is the best way to describe it. It’s the one game that I’m tempted to pay the asking price for. The NES port was excellent but the original arcade version is pure joy. Good news indeed.

John D is still in that group and the reason Arcade1up hasn’t kicked JohnD out of that group because they don’t care about social media. It’s “official” in name only. John D loves attention and has a big ego, hence the AMA and him doing that original takeover with the original Arcade1up group.

Good stuff, Bill. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Arcade1Up is entering a "quiet period" where they can't say anything that might affect potential buyout situations. But either way, Facebook has always been kind of a dumpster fire, so it's not a huge loss. The bigger issue is really just that no one knows ANYTHING, and with leaks happening daily, it's not exactly looking good if a potential buyer is considering what they can (or can't) offer them.

Bill, This is going to sound weird, but I'm in a weird kind of mood. You spoke about Tik Tok appealing to a younger demographic and the different kind of videos found there. I think you could Tik Tok it up here by keeping the narration audio of this video, and replacing the video part with you doing funky dance moves in front of either the prototype images, or even just your own cabs. I can tell you, something like that would get an instant thumbs up from me. I know the chance of that happening is probably the same chance as Arcade1Up releasing one of these prototypes as a final product, but dude, I think it would be SO UNEXPECTED and COOL, that even The Rexershow would have a hard time saying anything negative about this video and would feel compelled to join in and start doing The Hustle himself on his livestream! Of course, this is all in jest, but sometimes I just gotta share when these fun and crazy thoughts come into my head. Have a great one! vgv
