Thanks for shouting out the interview with Evercade Bill!
It was a great show!
I have been waiting for a bigger version of this. Imagine something like Arcade1Up 3/4 cabinet, but powered by Evercade VS and take my money.
Solid review of the situation!
I definitely go for the Mega Man Evercade Alpha (deluxe). I am not buying 2 of the Alphas in order to have a couple of more Capcom Games! And I will not buy a Street Fighter 2 cabinet only to have six different versions of one game. The prices are pretty good comparing to other barcades you can buy over here in Germany (they are all together damn expensive).
I never liked the arcade one up counterCades specially since I collect the 3/4 size and I thought mixing them look silly, but I do like the offer premium. I ordered both of them. I like the idea you can add cartridges and I’m not gonna put this in my rooms with arcades use someplace completely different. I only own a few cartridges for evercade at the moment but I’ll buy some more soon and have a few on preorder
I would rather have these instead of the A1Up countercade. Def gotta go with the sf alpha version
I am intrigued, but I sense that before it comes out, I will manage to collect all the parts needed to build my own Evercade cabinet. People are already doing this and the results are quite good.
Unless an Evercade eco system fan, not seeing the point of this, but good for the folks that do. Seems more value getting MAME, use the bezel art and done. You can get a tablet that plays far more games and an arcade controller for the same price. Added: It is still cute, none the less! I guess I'm biased since have a modded iCade with an Android tablet, with a ton of marquees and new art. Also have the entire Capcom library on Steam and Switch.
One can realtively easily build a full-sized arcade cabinet by getting some wood, buying a third-party USB arcade stick and some old monitor with HDMI input and using Evercade VS to power the entire build. If you have the tools and time, then you can have a great and very capable Evercade-powered cabinet very cheaply. However, there are many of us, who either do not have the tools, time or skills to do it well. Blaze seems to be targetting this exact category of its customers, however, I would appreciate a properly sized unit - something like the 3/4 cabinets sold by Arcade1Up, but powered by Evercade.
It doesn't have HDMI out and I'm stuck playing it on a 8 inch screen...so no, it's not what I'm been waiting for. The Vs is better
