Jackal!!!! The best arcade game ever. Choplifter in a jeep is the best way to describe it. It’s the one game that I’m tempted to pay the asking price for. The NES port was excellent but the original arcade version is pure joy. Good news indeed.

I don't own the Atari 50 collection yet, but will be getting it when the expansion releases. Too many games, so little time :)
I do think there was a HUGE MISS here as far as a collaboration that brewed in my head. When Arcade1Up released their last Atari Legacy cab, when I saw it, I really got my hopes up, because somehow I thought this cab might have the Atari 50 collection installed on it. Could you imagine? All the great games in the Atari 50 collection, with all the interviews and extras, in an arcade cabinet format? And then getting updates with new games and materials via wifi like the other platforms this collection is on. I think this cab would have been a true triumph for Arcade1Up and Atari and give Arcade1Up it's first expandable games cab.
But alas, we didn't get that. The lack of where-with-all at either Arcade1Up, or Atari, or both, is staggering. If it had decent controls, I would've bought a cab like that. And that's why I'm not concerned with Arcade1Up going silent and not releasing much. I have little faith that they are going to make another cabinet that will personally interest me. And it's not like the old days where I have room to buy just any new thing. I have no more room for 3/4 scale cabs in my Home Arcade, so Arcade1Up is now competing with all the cabs I already own and love. For something new to go in, something has to come out. Home Arcade companies have to really step up their game now if they want a place in the Video Game Vegas Arcade.
So excited for this even more robust Atari 50 expanded collection!
