I have been snapping up Credor quartz left and right. Even if they never appreciate or not because of the name in the future and increasing rarity. I love the look and finish a lot. I mean imagine if Patek had an old line of quartz movement watch at $1000 each. Your are buying into a great name for nothing. I have been buying up quartz zenith cosmopolitans on the cheap. Also Bucherer. I mean u I will probably never buy a $100,000 watch from any of these 3 brands but I still get a participation trophy and good finish watches

Thanks for the response. I actually prefer the titanium. I'm looking forward to its arrival-buyee can sometimes be slow. I also bought the blue Astron last year and really liked it but found the hands were sometimes hard to read. Hoping the 213 will be easier because of the sliver of lume.

I'd keep the black Hamilton and the two Grand Seikos, and the Citizen in your core collection with grey dial. You can consolidate a lot and focus on some higher end pieces

To answer your question, I think a well-made homage could be enough. Maybe not this specific one, but it all depends on your expectations. Right now, the watch I like to wear the most is a SeaQ homage, and it's not even the most expensive one. For a fraction of the price, it offers great value and style 😅

This is only my experience and take on it. I wanted an explorer. I can certainly afford one, I am not wealthy but like most people could put it on. Cc and pay off over 2 to three years auto setting payments to come out and never feel it, I bought a San Martin with the Chinese eta clone. It keeps good time about 10 sec + a day. I am told this is not nearly as good as some. However. The look, the feel, the X factor it is all there for me. So the San Martin is higher than a pagani but pagani do not have good lume. I will not be buying an explorer. Started drafting an extra 50.00 a month into my retirement account.

This is an homage of a $1500 watch for $40-50. I think this watches absolutely have a place and this one in particular was a valuable addition to my collection. This was my first non-diver watch and it opened my eyes to smaller sleeker watches. When used as tools to learn about your likes and dislikes I love these homage watches.

I also own the v2 of this one and I think it’s a really worthwhile purchase, for a tiny percentage of the original, it definitely gives me the look and the feel that I want. The original longines spirit is a gorgeous piece, but the whole point for me is that I wouldn’t spend that amount of money on one watch these days, I’m by no means a wealthy collector and homage watches allow me to enjoy every different style and type of watch that takes my fancy. I own many pagani watches and most of them are great. Pagani designs have a reputation for bad bracelets but I don’t agree with that, like the one on this watch I find to be very comfortable and good looking, of course it’s not as good as the OG, but you simply can’t forget about how little you’re paying for it. I have a massive collection and have watches for every occasion and pass time, and on the whole they are far superior to the watches I was paying more for 20 or 30 years ago. There is no point to buy an homage because these days there are so many microbrands that deliver outstanding quality for good prices. When you buy a homage it will always try to be something that isn’t it. If you do want to stick to the legacy brands one could also opt for a vintage piece since there are so many ppl able to work on those pieces.

For me the answer was no. The finishing and refinement on pagani's homages was quite dissapointing from my experience.

I was never aware of the 'Seiko 5' etching on the crystal. Ever! When was this the year of production of your model? Because mine doesn't have it, nor other Seiko 5's I've seen.

Really enjoyed this video. So much that I bought one on buyee. I was curious why it didn't last in your collection (and the astron too).

Great watches and had the same issue with the Surveyor. Also bought both dial versions and swapped bracelets, however managed to sell the dark green 😂 on the leather. Same issue will happen with the NB1060. I am planning also to get this wonderful Citizen. I have the NB1050 (black dial) in my collection and would exchange the bracelet with the leather and sell the black one. Let‘s see how this will move on.. great watches, love all those simple three hands Seikos. Wished they would bring up more 38mm versions like the SARB.

Citizen's current competitor to the "DressKX" seems to be the Crystal Seven (C7) to me. It has only 50 meters of WR, but aside from that it's kind of similar: 40 mm case with short lug-to-lug, day/date complication, classic Japanese design dating back to the 60's, suitable to wear as an everyday watch. Maybe slightly on the dressier side but you have a black dial option. By the way, I would trust a CITIZEN WR rating of 50 meters more than ANY AliExpress watch rated at 200 meters. All day every day. Citizen (along with Seiko and of course a couple of others) manufacture the world's most capable dive watches. Their WR ratings are always rather conservative.

Also, will you explain the best methods of payment for visitors and tourist in Japan purchasing watches such as Visa or MasterCard? Also, I've heard that tourists do not have to pay taxes on watches that they purchase regardless of the number of watches or overall purchase price total. Will you please explain these details thank you so much.

Was also curious if in your experience, have you found that the stores are listing their watch inventories online such as Chrono24 or ebay? Would be curious about your recommendations of how I can find and determine which stores have the largest and best selection for Credor watches

I‘ve gotten myself the white dial/blue hands version which also doesn‘t have the cyclops date window. For my personal taste i have to say this one is the best.

I love that credor. They are a brand that I've really wanted to get my hands on for years but haven't had the opportunity to do so. I used to live in Japan almost a decade ago and I wish I had been into watches at the time. Your final Grand Seiko is also something that I've almost pulled the trigger on so many times. I just wish that they put out more 38 mm or smaller spring drive watches.

That purple GS is regal.

I feel like the pressure to get a watch box with more that 10 spaces is high. A 20 or 24 slot box is really pretty reasonable. Great video, really enjoyed.

Great vid! You might like the Sinn 556a RS - Red Seconds (probably auf Deutsch: Rot Sekunde). It is my first Sinn. The minimalist look is very calming and easily my most readable watch. Keep up the good work!

Love your collection and the video. I highly recommend you pickup a 36mm Ball, for several reasons. 1) 904 steel, feels just as good in hand as a Rolex 2) tritium 3) the dials are amazing. In particular their green dials, and it appears you do have a thing for green 4) brand history 5) its a $2K watch, that looks and feels like an $8K watch. Great channel!
