I went to Japan's most famous watch shop!

- When I was on a trip to Japan recently, I did a lot of watch shopping (window shopping) and one of the places I stopped was what is probably the most famous watch shop in Japan, Jackroad, located in Nakano Broadway in Tokyo. While I was there I recorded the watches I saw. Enjoy!

I really wished you can slow down and the price is a bit off focus. Does the store have a time limit inside?
There was no time limit in the store, I just didn't want to be hanging around and irritating the staff by being there for too long. You should be able to see the prices on their website too

I’ve found Kame-Kichi offers better prices
There are definitely cheaper prices at some of the other shops there, but since Jackroad has the biggest presence and is more well known, I decided to make a video there

That's a really complete store, it's impressive, honestly i'm not crazy about high end watches but seeing GS, Bell & Ross, Panerai and Breguet on the sam store is not something you see everyday.
Yeah, I think the sheer range they have is a big draw

Hi thanks for the tour as I do plan to visit the shop and the others around Appreciating you were filming a lot of watches but the speed was too high and couldn’t make out the prices I’ll see if they have a website and listed them although likely too many there. Did you see any JLC?

Ugh would have been nice if you showed the watch & price together. Alot of prices were missed ie Omega section. Appreciate the effort in filming, it was almost perfect. Just some constructive criticism

Great show 👍 ! To all those people complaining about the show I have some advice for you ! Book a flight and go visit Japan yourself ! Sat in your armchair at home complaining!

Seems like there was a few bargains to be had on their used watches. Would have loved to seen how much that BB54 was @17:25. Seems the price we can see is the RRP and below the yellow text would have been the stores price. Even that RRP of 506,000 Yen is about 130,00 Yen cheaper than the UK RRP. Mad to see how much cheaper the watches are overseas, I'd imagine the yen being weak right now also plays a part.
Just checked my pre-cropped footage. Funnily enough the asking price was ¥570,000.
Do you by chance have other recommendations of where to stop by in Tokyo? I am headed there in two weeks and want to test my luck to see if I can find a Seiko sarb035! Since they are discontinued i'm not very hopeful to find any. Any it's also more disheartening when I don't really know where to go to find them 😥
Those will be tough to find in the wild. You could try in Ueno or just in random bookoff/2nd Street locations. Akihabara has lots of second hand shops for tech and cameras but watches too, though because it gets a lot of tourists most of the good stuff is probably picked through already

You’d be surprised how well Panerai wears. Scary looking at the size but when you have it on you’ll most likely change your opinion. I did. I wear a 45mm now.
I'm sure they wear better than the dimensions but I'm pretty comfortable with my 36-40 range generally
Nice video however if you're using an iphone make sure to change the resolution/frames to 4K/60fps! would be a much better watching experince since this one is probably at 30fps

IWC spitfire was my favourite, not into watches at all but I appreciate the effort mate. Dont listen to the haters you did a thorough job 😅 but I can see how it may have been a little frustrating for the proper enthusiasts looking at every little detail 😂

I was considering to buy a Patek Phillipe. I am taking a trip to Tokyo, so I wonder would I save any money buying in Tokyo, considering tax, duty, fees, etc?
That question is a little above my pay grade 😅 If you take your passport with you, you should be able to buy it tax-free but I'm not sure about any taxes you'll have to pay when you take it home
Are the displayed prices with tax included? So foreign tourists could get a ~10% tax free discount?

The second hand condition in Japan is usually very good so that's generally the best option to go for
Buying an Omega even at an AD in Japan is a bargain with a current exchange Yen to USD ratio. Jackroad prices are even better than those you can find at the AD.
The savings could pay for the flight there and back ;)

Jackroad's prices definitely aren't what they used to be. When they became more well known with tourists their prices went up, not to mention the general increase in watch prices all round
