The Grateful Dead-Summer Solstice-06/21/1989-Eyes of the World part 2-I had to cut the song into two parts due to it being over ten minutes. I tried my best to cut it at a break in the song so as not to mess up any of the bands jams. A few of you let me know last time that I cut it at a bad point. I did my best, so I hope it makes you all happy.

I love this RIP Phil
💙 💙 💙 💙 💙
Thank You Phil, RIP.
This was a streamed broadcast. Those of us on the east coast gathered with a TV and speakers setup and watched till the early morning. We leave you Phil.✌️
Outstanding! Thanks for everything Phil!
I was at Shoreline in, I'm not sure, but in '92 or '93? and a Box of Rain was broke out. Man I was laying back on the grass. I was finally coming down from a particularly heavy afternoon trip which included a guy in the lot attempting rather sloppily to rip me off on a cool T-shirt. It had the Nike Swoosh and said Life is Short on the front and Trip Hard on the back. I remember I had a pocketful of singles. He wanted ten. I reached in my jeans and pulled out a crumbled wad of cash, I dropped quite a few. However, as they seemed to almost leap from my pocket, creating heavy duty tracers in all manner of colors and swirls cascading downward allowing me in my undeniable electrified elevated primordial regressed simultaneously enlightened really purified rock and roll oneness with it all state (did I just say that? Crazier still, did I actually believe it then or as I even now question my sanity, do I believe it now?) slowly floated and drifted to the ground and many going rogue under a car we were standing next to. This clown tried to kick and slide them further out of view under the car. Too late! Aha!! Even the man from 221B Baker St. couldn't deny the blatant flagrant hubris with which this caper was so stupidly attempted. I bent over with a lightning quickness no one, including me, could've expected as fucked up as I was. I went, "dude, what the fuck?". His dumb ass tried to say he was trying to retrieve them for me. I managed to recover them all. I paid him his ten. Staggered back to my van and laid down until show time. I don't remember much except an exceptional Music Never Stopped, a dynamite Sugaree and a tear jerking joyous Box of Rain that had me smiling up at the sky. Man, nothing like a Grateful Dead show. Nothing like Phil Lesh. And nothing left to do but smile smile smile. God bless you all. PS why am I hearing thundering bass somewhere in the echoes of my mind right now? Believe it if you need it....

😢❤❤❤ Fare thee well Phil...
Summer Solstice!
Phil here with the most lovable horrible vocal performance. One more thing to love about the GD.
Actually, he sang on the album version (American Beauty) but that was back in 1970...,he was a back-up vocalist for a long time; but I read that he ruined/strained his voice because he wasn't a trained singer.
RIP Phil
No More Do I. RIP.

thank you Phil, for keeping me in the Phil Zone, and thanks for the bombs.

RIP Phil. What a great memory.
I was at this show. It was the last time I saw the dead with Jerry. So sad to learn of Phil's death. Such a long long time to be gone. Such a short time to be there. Alav Hashalom.
I was there too. I remember Freddie King's Hideaway while Bobby kicked his guitar rig until it worked. RIP Phil...you will be missed, but never forgotten.
Thank you Warriorstrail for posting this version! So sweet!!
RIP MR Lesh Phil bombs forever!!
And Morning Dew is sadly bout to play out on the world stage,,,,,,
We Talk Back In Time & Can Understand, Myself, From 1981 - 1995 Feels Like Yesterday !!!!
I never knew this was a Phil Lesh (sp?) song. God he can’t remember the lyrics. Yeah it’s terrible. Maybe he’s trippin’
All the dead fans will disagree but this is a terrible live performance
Gravity Falls
His voice cracked because he loved his father so much.
I'm not that familiar with this song only being a minor fan of the Dead and not a head. But I know enough that many of their songs are very thoughtfully written, and they always have unique chord structures that you don't often hear. It often takes many listens to finally "grok" them, and I guess a little tab on the tongue helps.
