it will always be hard for me to get used to bobby singing this just not seem the same.how i miss pig and jerry they were both a block wide.yes AND LEAVE IT ON. rip my brothers
I am not a Dead follower - but after hearing the Bobby Blue Bland original version of this song - the Dead totally nail and own there version of it...great!
Yooooo, At 2:54, are the most full-blown peaking/ psychedelic and intune ( borderline psychotic) eyes I've ever witnessed. However, there is a nod as well, he's good!!!
still think it sucks that they claimed jerrys guitars were the bands funny never saw anyone but jerry play tiger wolf or rosebud in over 300 shows but they were the bands ,yea right glad you at least got 2 of them doug.
Well, you do gotta remember, Bobby was the trailor behind Pig for years on this one before they dusted it off. For reference check the '69 Minneapolis show. (Think it's dick's picks 26 iirc). Great moment where Pig goes "c'mon let it shine on me Bobby")
The funny thing about the saxophone you are hearing it really is a saxophone being played by clarence and not that oh so horrible, nasty, lame weak midi synthesizer bob bralove stuck in garcia's guitar. the same guitar that could produce trumpet, flute, bassoon noise. Why could he not leave jerry's guitar alone,it got me high thru the 70's and 80's.Why try to fix something that is not broken.bob bralove go back to from where you came.
Man I miss the days when pigpen used to sing this!
The Big Men together again....Don't Rest, be at peace, and let that light shine....Just a touch!!!!!!!!!!!!! will always feel your shine!!!

The big man Clarence Clemons on sax?
Who wears short shorts! I dig it!!!!!!
Clarence and Jerry were hot ... Weir, as usual, 3/4 of a beat behind the beat with vocals ..

Two people have thier love light off
is the sax man the big man?
Is that the big man on the sax?
who is on the sax?
Once again Jerry saved another flop!! by bobby and some horn blower.
you think you were 16 in '89? you don't know?
Yeah, the first solo belongs to Jerry not anybody else, period......
Nobody does this song like the late Bobby Blue Bland. He recorded it back in the fifties and it still sounds better than this.
NAY! The first solo belongs to Jerry. Period.............
