    Yet another suggestion but what I would really like to see is splitting the keyboard layout between two instruments (would be really cool to play a synth with the right hands and drums with the left [any ideas or a workaround?]) and layering synths to play simultaneously (workarounds?). Thanks for your video!

    • @BayMud
      @BayMud 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You should drop by the Discord or Girhub and make suggestions there, as I doubt the devs check here. That said, so far the only way I know of to do the first one would be with a MIDI controller (either set the Deluge to play one thing while the controller is assigned to another, or get a controller with keys and pads and assign them accordingly). Same idea for two synths at once---learn them to the same controller. There may be other work arounds, but personally I haven't needed/wanted to do either one, so I haven't really looked into it. Folks on the Discord may be more helpful though

    I think I've had two crashes in over six years. the OLED vs 7-seg thing..... both of mine have the OLED now, & it did make a difference to the speed with which I could find things, but it is definitely not essential. all the same functionality is there, whether it's in proper writing or red crayola... 😂 a magnificent machine which was fully-formed from the get-go, & just gets better with each solid iteration of the open-source versions. the way synthstrom run their business & treat their customers is exemplary, & should be the standard by which communication & support from other manufacturers is judged. yeah, torso, I mean you.

    I'm struggling with the length of recording a sample line in. I get the 2.0 fixed length. But when not using fixed length, I still only can record about 9 seconds mono. Do I need a bigger memory card then 32 mg?

    • @BayMud
      @BayMud หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe my card is 128GB, but that only helps store more sample packs. Each pack is limited to 220 seconds total (spread over 128 sample slots however you like). If you've only got 9 seconds left in that pack it must mean there are 211 seconds already loaded in other samples, so you could remove some or start a new pack

    Definitely one of the strong points of the Blofeld. I had a desktop version (before it died on me 😢) - incredible sounds and flexibility, but damn, what a nightmare to program! Access Virus TI is the sweet spot though for VA synths IMHO - its got the 16 part multi-timbrality, and is capable of similar complex sounds to the Blofeld, but the UX is really good... But that price tag really hurts 🥹

    Thank you for this beautiful demonstration! One question: why use the nymphes when the deluge has a powerful internal synth engine? • @BayMud
      @BayMud 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thanks for taking the time. I love the Deluge internal synth engine (and it's only getting better with the community firmware) and almost always use it on its own, but sometimes I want more hands-on control and maybe a different flavour, so I like having little boxes I can use with the Deluge here and there. The Nymphes is ideal for this (to me), as it's small, sounds great and has faders to easily control parameters right away

    Great video man - very well presented - excellent lighting and sound quality! Thanks for covering these 1.1 features, I do follow the development on GutHub, but I often forget about some features (seriously, there are so many new features its mind blowing!) - "paste gently" was one such feature that I totally forgot about, and it's going to be super useful! You really should seriously consider upgrading to OLED though man - it seems trivial, but for me at least, it made working with the Deluge much more enjoyable, especially for certain scenarios, like browsing samples, songs, kits and instruments. It also displays of current gold knob assignment when pressing the effect buttons - SUPER useful to see what params are assigned to the custom knobs. The hardest thing about upgrading to OLED is being away from Deluge for a couple of weeks! Anyway, thanks again - love your Deluge videos and performances!

    had no idea there was a brightness default, my life has been improved lol thank you stellar_aria did such a fantastic job with the rings verb port, didn't even think to adjust the HPF and dampening to focus the tone of it iirc the flashing play button indicates something has been culled, but as you said we don't really notice it sometimes. If you have like 4 notes playing and you have 4 synth voices, then that'll be playing 16 total voices as the notes are releasing, so when you ask deluge to play a new note with the previous notes releasing, if play starts flashing it might have culled a couple of those voices and start playing 4 more so you'd have like 18 total voices playing and releasing OMG when was save/load defaults added to performance view???

    • @BayMud
      @BayMud 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ha. I figured starting with the brightness setting would be helpful to someone! Hard to keep up with the progress---I remember testing the ability to save/load multiple sets of performance view settings at one point too (and crossfading between them!), which was super fun, so hopefully that makes it back in. CPU stuff is always tricky. I mostly just wanted to make it clear to people that just because the play button is blinking doesn't mean you'll hear anything "wrong". I love that we have an indicator to know when we're pushing the limits (and can also turn if off when it's yelling at me. Ha)
