11:18 Yasuke is a historical figure. There isn't that much known about him but he did serve as a Samurai for the probably most famous Daimyo in Japanese history, Oda Nobunaga. Yasuke was even present as a character in one of the Nioh games. I think the second one but I'm not 100% sure Edit: Okay, I wrote this comment before I heard that hiphop argument. I also haven't played an Assassin's Creed game since AC3 so correct me if something changed but usually the actual protagonist relives their ancestors life(s) through future tech so hiphop IS sort of a thing. To me, it's simple. If I see manly women or feminized men, or even the hint of the tumblr art style or color palette, it's 'woke'. It's all you need to see to know what the game is. Either it beats you over the head with messaging, or it will be a buggy, shallow mess of nonsensical design chouces, made by people who don't play games. Or both. The end. And the evidence is all there. 95% of games like that are at the bottom of wishlists and player reviews. You can make any type of game, for any audience. No one is stopping anyone. Visual novels and cozy farm sims are heavily 'woke' most of the time. And they sell. But no one from that audience would buy a Duke Nuken-style farm sim, with metal and blood and bewbs, and no villagers to romance, and no crops to grow. Well, when you woke-ify action games, dark fantasy and war, you're doing the same thing. You're trying to upend what makes people like those games. Serving tofu in a steakhouse. We're sick of it.

Life is strange is a weird example because it does in fact cause people to steer clear of the game because the main thing spoken about online about it is the fact that you can choose to be gay in it. I have heard so many people talk about the game and yet that's basically the only thing I know about the game, because I haven't played it, and don't want to.

When I was watching Twitch, my only issue was that "If I go for Twitch Turbo, I'm dropping all subs." TH-cam Premium at least gives benefits more than just not harassing me for minutes at a time every hour. Originally Twitch Prime gave us no ads, then Twitch blocked that. Then they raised the price of Turbo AND it's something we can't gift. I'm glad it helps and pays for the ads, and I guess if the ad pay is better than the sub pay - I'd have just dropped all my subs and used only Turbo, because it would have been one or the other. For the cost, Turbo should have come with at least one free sub a month.

In my personal opinion when people say that the kiss scene had nothing to do with lightyear failing they are either coping or have only considered whether or not _they_ care about the scene. Heres a few things to consider: Disney/Pixars target audience is and has always been children, but the _parents_ are the ones buying the tickets and most parents in America, and *especially* world wide, don't want their children exposed to subjects like that. To be clear I'm not arguing the morality of the decision, but the _reality_ of the decision. Also; if that scene would've had no effect one way or the other then why did Disney cut the scene out for viewings in China and Saudi Arabia? The simple truth is that scene did, in one way or another, impact sales world wide.

Woke is a term borrowed by Marxists. Marxism divides people into two groups which are either the oppressors and the oppressed. There are various branches of Marxism who believe in different oppressed and oppressor groups. Wokeness is an attempt to unite the different branches of Marxism into a majority for political gain. This is why we see woke people fighting over which group is more oppressed such as a black man, or white woman. Woke messaging in games and movies is a form of propaganda to normalize seeing some groups such as women as positive while turning groups such as men as either criminals or idiots who shouldn't be respected.

Putting a character who is ‘diverse’ purely for the sake of putting them in is woke. Having to put male characters down in order to make female characters look better is woke.

Woke Is a word that was stolen and repurposed to mean something completely outside of its original purpose. The idea behind "Woke" is entirely rage bait. Its a ploy to draw people in and make them angry about an issue that doesn't actually exist to the extent that it is being portrayed by the outrage salesmen. Its only purpose is to hold an audiences attention in order to generate easy money out of gaolable people who haven't done their research. The people pushing woke ideology don't actually care about the issue as much as they care about the popularity of the topic and how many views it can get them while its still relevant.
