    Don't have children is the WORST thing you can say to someone. That leads to the extinction of humanity as we know it.

    What I noticed for brainrot react content is that the majority of the reacts are Vtubers reacting to brainrot. Would be cool to see more Vtuber react to educational content like this and hopefully reverse their attention short span.

    Ngl, I thought Skibidi Toilet was kinda stupid for how popular it got, until I realised that the guy making them is Dafuq?!Boom, who is a legend in making good gmod sfms. As it progressed, it unironically became one of the more interesting things on the Internet, despite how bizarre the idea is... Man-headed toilets fighting Camera, Speaker and TV headed people... Until I realised it might be some sort of metaphor for "Shitposts vs Normal Media"

    Eh, brainrot has literally existed since the Newgrounds era, it's nothing new. It's just a bunch of 20-30 year old whining like a bunch of boomers, going "You darn kids and your internets! When I was your age..." and "Kids these days..." nonsense that they've also grown up with.

    To be fair, one can argue that by this logic, there are far more people who are naturally introverts, but society has always revolves around extroversion and favored social skills and connections over all others skills/abilities.
    Seriously, look at what makes people successful. Is it being strong, fast, smart, healthy, etc? Well to some extent, but it's mostly just being attractive, charismatic, manipulative, and having the right connections (usually from nepotism).

    Dafuqbooms Skibidi toilet series isn't brainrot but some TH-camr who makes their own skibidi toilet content is cringe
    I am saying this because i watch all skibidi toilet ep not because i heard from people. If people think i am wrong then watch the original skibidi toilet with lots of lore and gore and action 😊 and also SKIBIDI TOILET IS NOT FOR KIDS

    That's why you got shit for that opinion Kitsu. Nobody can impartially judge what you do on the internet. It will always be abused. Keep your kids off the online until 18. Plain and simple.
    Wrong. The people against ir understand it will be abused. It always is. Theres some who you are correct about but most? They know. It will permiate into your personal chats and text and it's too late to stop by then. Stop it here and bow before it's too late.

    You know, I've heard some people say that AI is going to crash because there is too much AI generated content poisoning the AI learning pool, if not AIs interacting directly with each other.
    I think a similar thing is happening with society. Not the technology, it would be happening without that. It's a disconnect from reality, where things are promoted not because it works, but because it's popular or works for our artificial societal structures. How you get things like people graduating without knowing how to think, or even learn, just to pass tests and get grades, or politicians constantly on the campaign trail, or people being promoted for their ass kissing and office politics skills.

    Its not really even the content's fault. It is the parents that cant be bothered to deal with the kid they had so the sit them in front of screens.

    • @mrSaber79
      @mrSaber79 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I totally get that and it definitely is all of the parents' faults. However, telling these kinds of parents "you're being a lazy parent. Stop being a lazy parent," doesn't help the problem because lazy parents would just get defensive about their skills.
      Instead, this video is an attempt to convince them to change their behavior. It sympathizes with their workload and their reasoning for choosing easy entertainment for their children while they themselves attempt to recuperate from the day. Then it villain-izes online content as an insidious outside influence that needs to be "exposed" to parents. The argument being presented to the bad parents is that they are not bad parents, but their are bad things online that they just didn't know about harming their kids. Shame can sometimes be an effective tool, but in this case it's counterproductive, and instead the video is attempting to create fear and leverage it to get bad parents to be better.
      In short, this video is not meant to be truly informative to people who are either not parents or are good parents. Instead it's a video meant to be given to a bad parent to scare them into stopping this behavior, while avoiding blaming them as that's counterproductive in this case.

      I'm a gen Xer. I don't do kid gloves and don't care if they get defensive. I care about the generation they fail and ruin at no fault of the child. If that hurts their feefees they kind of deserve it honestly. It's a child not a collectable to shelf when you don't feel like playing with it. My only consultation is I will likely be dead before the kids take over.

    "The focus has been removed form life skills, and shifted to internet fluff". That's why I say the internet and our smart devices aren't the root of the problem. If the internet didn't exist, it would still be kids at school making up their own dumb trends (maybe not TickTock levels since I'm pretty sure that's China promoting brain rot) and people more concerned with that then actually useful skills for making money, let alone skills that actually contribute to society or would be useful to you sans popularity (less just by total coincidence).

    It seems that today all you see are memes in TikTok and sex on Netflix. But where are those good old-fashioned values on which we used to rely?
    This is certainly a new phenomenon.
    Heck, I bet that you can make a satirical cartoon with that first line that nobody has ever used before, certainly not a satirical cartoon show from 25 years ago, older than some of the people complaining about the lack of the good old-fashioned values that were considered too modern for those previous good old-fashioned values.

    The problems shown in this video is why if I ever have any children I won’t put handheld technology in the house and will raise them as though technology is as it was in 2000, so that as their brains grow up they won’t be molded and built off of what iPhones give them access too.

  • @dragonturtle2703
    @dragonturtle2703 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Short of children (not minors or young people, actual children) and revealing private information (like doxing or revenge pron), if saying something is a problem, then the problem is you, like an immunocompromised person having to have everything filtered, except with information/ideas.
    And I'd hope as a Vtuber you know the value of anonymity, since making everything one says/does public and tied to their identity is one of the best control methods to ensure adherence to popular orthodoxy: aka fit in or else.

    Nah, this is pure fear mongering. They said the exact thing about video games, TV, radio, acting, etc. Lacking skills that one generation cared about doesn't matter. A common one is cooking. In modern day, you do not need to know how to cook. Not even because of Uber eats, but cookbooks, box instructions, and TH-cam videos.
    People often forget how stupid tge average person is. Gen z has been shown to be the hardest working generation and yet they are called tge laziest and with the least skills. At least until gen alpha grows up.

    It is hard for me to be mad at children for having "brain rot" when we, 90s kids, had the exact same brain rot, just in a different form.
    Every generation has looked at the next one and laughed at the brain rot, going back to Ancient Greece, were some people complained that the youth "read too much" and placed "too much value on books" instead of on oral tradition and oral teachings.We were the youth trend settlers and now we are the cranky old farts that complain how "back in my days things were much better, I am sorry for people of your generation". Your grandpa was sorry for you because you had The Legend of Zelda instead of playing marbles in the street, and you are sorry for gen alpha for sharing skibidi toilet memes instead of the myriad of OG memes post (troll face, deal with it, Yao Ming, etc) in imgur and other pages full of the most idiotic, unfunny memes ever that we thought were actually cool and deeply philosophical.

      Just like now we justify spending our youth playing 12 hours of videogames a day by "well, it improves puzzle solving and hand-eye coordination", in the future they will justify scrolling in two phones at once with "improving multitasking".
      There is always a good excuse at hand for whatever you want to do.
