@@PeanutChuAdventures I didn't know if your wife might have just encouraged you to enter just that video over others. My stories never seem very interesting. For example, someone recently told me about egrets that you can view from a Dollar General parking lot. Rather than something like a 3 day expedition to the back country to find egrets. Piebald deer in a housing development instead of out in the deep woods. Got to go where the specific animals are located.

I loved the 800 5.6, couple with the D6. When the z9 came out, I was having trouble getting video when the subject was flying directly towards me when using the Fmount lens. I would acquire focus, but get breaks of out of focus when the subject was flying at me. I thought it was the z9. When I got the 800PF, I noticed that this went away. It would lock on and it would stick. So, then I went for the 600TC. I was only worried that the TC would slow down the AF. It does not, the integrated TC, I don’t notice any lag and the I cant see any degradation of sharpness. So I am very happy with the 600tc. Thanks, I saw your video with the Robin, very excellent.

@@PeanutChuAdventuresI have been shooting more video recently with the 800 mm f5.6 and I agree about losing focus from time to time with the z9 when used in combination with the 800 mm f5.6. I don’t really understand why. Sometimes it doesn’t even want to focus at all when in Af-f or AF-C. I wonder if it’s because I have been shooting in lower contrast NRAW with NLog gamma. Do you shoot in NRAw? I only recently learned how to use Davinci. It was a little intimidating.

@@GPZ611 Hi, I am shooting in H265 10bit 4k/120, AFF. The not focusing, I think its because you need to kind of be prefocused in the area of the subject. It does not want to focus when your focused too far away from the subject. I will quickly focus on the ground near the subject then focus on the subject. I am using final cut, yes, these editing tools are tricky, but once you get to know your 10 things you need to do, it works really good.
