      @@PeanutChuAdventures Me??? the self professed gear whore? My addiction is buying gear, shooting it as much as I can, buying more gear and shooting it more!!! What lens are you currently using? I have my old F glass adapted right now - 200-500 (love this lens), 500 F4 and my all time favorite 300 F2.8. I am planning on renting something that is out of my price range... Your lens of choice?🤗 The big advantage I see with the F glass is that I own it, and it still works on my D800 when I want to go old school!!

      @@JonnyPink65 , my go to is the 800 5.6. and 600F4. Just picked up the 800pf and testing it out. I think you should go for the new 600F4 and test that out. 😊😊, Your 500 should work well with the z9.

      @@PeanutChuAdventures Thank you!!! I will look into renting the newer lenses. For now, I love the 200-500 on the Z9. Was out today with the 500 F4 - it was awesome on the Z9 I rented a month ago so I will be looking forward to that when it stops raining!! Spring - I will be renting lenses. 🙏❤🤗

    I recently upgraded my D 850 to the Z 9. I am adjusting to the nuances of mirrorless cameras. I noticed an Owl group poster who shoots Sony A1 videos. I have to admit- after 13 years of DSLR- videos were not impressive. I have been trying to figure out the slow mo videos and was nearly ready to jump off the figurative cliff. Finally- I saw your "unboxing" video and found it very informative. I do have a question- I have heard from an Adorama and BH CSR that you could not couple a 1.4 TC along with FTZII and PF 500 5.6. Did I hear you correctly- this is possible??? Can I ask about image quality? Thanx- I will be your newest fan.

    • @PeanutChuAdventures
      @PeanutChuAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gary, using the FTZII adapter you can use the fMount 1.4TC with the 500pf on the Z9, I have used this combo, maybe BH, Adamora were thinking a zmount tc??. Question, have you been using the D850, with the 500pf or are you planning to buy the 500pf? I ask this, because the 500pf is a very sharp lens, and with most tc's you may see a slight degradation at times. But, you are at F8, so if light is a factor, keep that in mind. If you are planning to purchase a 500pf, this is 3600 and tc is 500, maybe you can consider a 800pf6.3, its a 2500 more, but you are at 800 native at 6.3 and you don't need to adapt. Only something to think about if you dont have the 500pf already. Ok, Slow mo. I do it in software, Final Cut. I will film at 4k/120 and you can slow down to 25% looking natural. Thank you, my newest fan!!

  • @garfieldirwin
    @garfieldirwin ปีที่แล้ว

    Peanut, may I ask if you miss having a long zoom? I shoot the Sony A1 and rely on the 200-600+2xTC almost exclusively because I find primes too restrictive for most video work where you need to properly manage the framing during capture. What's your thinking? The reason I ask is that I'm considering picking up a Z9 (again) and give it a go, but the absence of the Nikon 200-600 is holding me back. I can adapt the Sony 200-600 to the Z9 but the existing adapters leave a lot to be desired and the 100-400 is too short most of the time and is expensive. Would the old 200-500VR work in the interim? At least they can be found cheap on the used market.
