Yes totally skip on the Starbucks and get some amazing coffee from a little café
Please please keep making videos you’re amazing🎉
Wow what a spot! That looks amazing thank you again for all your videos
תודה!
Thank you so much for the Support! 😊🙏
There are more Christmas markets scattered around the city. For example next to Allee Shopping Mall
Yep, I like the one at Óbuda, and the one at Újpest is also nice and laid back 😊
I am from Hungary and I love my country❤❤❤thank you to you went to there❤❤❤
Köszönöm szépen, én is szeretem a hazám, itt nőttem fel 😊
😋😋😋❤️🇭🇺❤️
Thank you for making another great video! Will be there in a few weeks. What are the times of the Christmas market? What time do they close
Hey there! The one at the Basilica opens from 11:00 and close at 22:00, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open till 23:00. The one on Vörösmarty square is open till 21:00 but on Friday and Saturday it's 22:00 😊
I just got back from Budapest yesterday it was such a great enjoyable trip 🎉thank you for all of your informations ❤❤❤
I went last year! Had the best time but it was raining and very cold. I bought the Goulash in the bread bowl and the bowl was wet but still very tasty!
How come no cash??? What a joke…
I personally like that better, it's easier to trace the transactions and less room to scam by giving back less change etc. Also there's no need for people to exchange money, they can just use their cards 😊
Best city ever
Now I'm Hungry!
Thanks for the video! Can't wait to see it in person. Although, I do prefer the Christmas tree from 2023... :(
Personally, I also liked the previous tree better, but this light decor at the top is really nice, a mix of the old tree and this light in the air would be better I think 😊🎄
That plate of stuffed cabbage is $22 Canadian. I'm sorry, I know food prices go up but that is expensive. 🐾🐾🇨🇦
You've convinced me to holiday in Budapest next. Can't put it off any more.
😉👍🏻😉
Thanks for the food discount advice and recommending Strudel House and Kato Neni.
🌨️🌨️🌨️👏
We’ll be there tomorrow- can’t wait!
Noway... 15 years ago, when i lived there in Budapest, a plate like the first one would have not cost more than 2.200 HUF., being generous. It is a crap to see how much more expensive has become BP. It is not a cheap city anymore.
Yeah, and most of the increase only happened in the past few years 😔
@@StuffedCabbageAdventures Is this phenomenom happening too in other important cities like Debrecen, Győr, Pecs...? BP is becoming an "island" in Hungary, increasingly more separated from the hungarian day a day reality. Well, more than BP, we should say the touristic center of BP. Like other places, tourism seems to be an emeny of the locals... A Szabad Hazáert!
It happens everywhere. Difference in prices was always there between Budapest and cities in the countryside, but prices generally have gone up everywhere. Perhaps the "scissor" between BP and Countryside has opened up more lately, but unfortunately people all over Hungary feel the price increase. Still, a Seasonal Christmas Market or a Festival will always be different wherever it is, prices there will always be even higher vs everywhere else.
Sheep usually enjoy being robbed... We'll enjoy the atmosphere but will definitely go elsewhere to taste quality food at an affordable price. Thanks for this video!
Agreed. Even by American standards, these food prices are extortionate.
I appreciate the example of asking for the daily discount meal in hungarian. I can speak, not very well, but it's helpful to hear the proper way to formulate the question.
Hi Ákos, I was in Budapest for nine days including last weekend. I can honestly say Hungary has the best food and best public. I am visually impaired and use a white cane. People on the road and on public transport are so observant and respectful, no one bumped into me or tried to squeeze pass me unlike many cities in other countries. I was so impressed while staying in Budapest. I also went to Christmas market in front of the basilica, although being expensive, the grilled sausages and stuffed cabbage were worth trying. Maybe you already know, but I discovered a very nice, good priced restaurant called Kupak on Dob ut 2. Especially I loved lecso and chicken paprikas there. Always thanks a lot for great videos.
Thank you so much for your message and sharing your experiences of your visit! 😊 I'm really happy that you had an excellent time in spite of being visually impaired, especially because I feel that there is still a lot for this city to improve in this area. I have not heard about Kupa restaurant but taking note of it for a future visit 😊
Useful info as always! Our 6 people group can't wait to get there! Thank you for all your help, here and Instagram!
Went there last year. I was amazed at how many things had MADE IN CHINA on them. It was just as bad in Munich. Vienna was pretty decent but they might have remembered to remove the labels. We went thinking merch was going to be authentic to the area. I guess not anymore. At least the atmosphere was amazing. We had an amazing hotel at the Aria.
Yeah, that is an unfortunate thing, most of the cheaper items are indeed imports. There are a few handcraft and artisan goods but those are very pricey. I like the local artisan sausages and hot sauces, and some of the wines they have 😊
We are coming tomorrow, can't wait 🥰🥰
Love this video! I’m an expat here and really enjoy your videos - always helps me further explore the city. And randomly, I saw you and your wife shopping one weekend! Didn’t want to be a creeper so didn’t say hi, but to me you’re a local celebrity! 😊
Next years goal is to visit Hungary during Christmas market time. I've never been to Hungary during this time and would love to experience it. Do they start on the same day every year? Koszonom szepen Akos!
Hey there! The Two Large markets start much earlier compared to the rest, but in all honesty you should try visiting in early December, then more markets are also open. Usually the normal time for Christmas Markets to Open is the 1st Advent weekend. This year that's December 1st, and Next year it's November 30th 😊
Thank you, very informative as usual, we will be there for Christmas 24, looking forward to it.. 🎉
Thanks as always. Since I am unable to buy you forralt bor personally, please use this to buy some.
Thank you so much Todd for your continued support! For sure we will enjoy a nice Forralt Bor on your behalf 😊
You might have already made a videos on this topic. Are there some words that we should know when visiting Budapest. We speak English, but it feels impolite to not at least try to greet people in their native language when visiting a country. Any greetings we should practice? Are there any cultural rules we should be aware of?
Hey there! I believe in our 15 Things you must know about Budapest I list a few good to know words and phrases, but we are thinking about a dedicated video on the topic eventually :) Nevertheless, a "Köszönönöm" (Thank you) Goes a Long way with us Hungarians :)
Your videos never disappoint. You are great. And your strudels look amazing. For me, it would be strudel heaven, which I love. Thanks for your time, which you dedicate to making videos for us. Greetings from the Czech Republic
