I have never seen so much handle cranking in my life.
You've never been to a ploughing match then 🤣
Thanks for posting this video.
You're welcome
aeyam beeg fans the India peels reply 😊
👍
Greg Judy wouldn't particularly like all this dirt exposure. That guy really likes vegetation covering everything.
Is it a rule there use low gear and idle speed a horse plowing would pass most of these guys lol.
😊👍
When you get used to looking at Massey 35's or Ford Dexta's it makes that tow tractor look enormous! Enjoyable vid as always
The contrast between these tractors was something to contemplate for sure.
Another great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
Yes, some good boys doing some good work there nice video 👍
Thanks 👍

Yes, some good boys doing some good work there nice video 👍
Reminds me of my youth back in the 60's. Dad got on a Allis C collecting kick. They were plentiful and cheap as well as worn out! He had a new one back in the 40's. We now had 3 of them with mounted implements. One a single bottom mounted plow. I got the chore of plowing the 5 acre field after school. Took a week with that little plow!
Great memories.
Another great ploughing video, certainly a great turnout!
Thanks. There were a lot of ploughmen but a very long way from one end of the field to the other.
Great video well done very enjoyable 😉
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
G day from Ontario Canada Boy that IH 414 looked like new! Our 414 had 14-9-28 Boy over here I know grd is froze in most spots. Ths
The 414 is very tidy. It make me want to own one. I'm sure you are well frozen at this time of year. The frosty weather can be a bit unpredictable for us. We always get some but never sure when it will be.
Very interesting as always, thank you for posting. Good practice at ploughing matches do not get stuck, if you do, dont make it worse trying to get out. :-)
It was very unfortunate to get suck but the diff lock on the tractor was not working and that didn't help.
Always enjoy a ploughing video 👍 noticed perhaps 2 ploughman rolled their chip in the opening 🙄 we are not allowed to do that up here 🏴, with no disrespect to the ploughman on the Ford 3600 think a lack of experience had a lot to do with digging a hole like that 🤔👍 a lot of very tidy ploughing there today 👌
We are not supposed roll our chips either! I didn't notice that. The 3600 had a diff lock problem and it was very soft at this part of the field.
I wanted a yellow don't run me overcoat for Christmas from the wife .did I get one .no I did not ..but seeing this I thing the orange ones are bang on trend so now I'm confused which one to buy ..I need one soon as I intend to go to tractor world in malvern next month and need to blend in ..😊..just a light hearted comment..keep going with the channel excellent work
I hope to be at tractor world but I normally avoid Invincibility coats so we a destined never to meet! 🤣
Superb Video, Thank You For Sharing
Thanks
Great video again ! It looks a bit cold there ?
Thanks. I was completely frozen by the end of the day! It's strange how ploughing keeps you warm but walling the headland doesn't. Keep an eye out for next weeks video. It was on the following day and also very cold.
These must’ve been some of the first tank combines - had the … “privilege” of working on an old bagger in the early ’70s
I think tanks were an option a ling time back but not so popular in the UK market because farmers didn't have the bulk grain handling systems
@@Casterton-VintageYep - definitely the case in Ireland back then !! Though change to bulk happened very quickly.
I can't believe i've only just come across this video, to say i'm impressed would be an understatement. I've been retired several years now, when i was employed in agriculture on a 4,000 plus acre estate as primarily a ploughman among other duties, i advanced to being a demonstrator for a local farm machinery dealership along side of my regular duties. I used to demo mainly Krone ploughs (5 furrow reversible) within a radius of about 50 miles of where i worked. I felt very privileged and proud to be chosen for that role but watching these guys at work i can say the standard of their skills are above my paygrade! They must have been under tremendous pressure being scrutinised. I do know it's still in my blood and your videos bring back so many happy memories of my time in the field. Thank you so much for your inimitable style of presentation.👍
Thank you for your ploughing story and positive comments. Commercial ploughing is very different to match ploughing but the simple rules of burying everything and a level finish still apply. You should have a go.
@@Casterton-Vintage Thank you for your reply, i think i could make a half decent job of it but those guys are something special. Whatever one's skill level is, the main criteria is to do the best possible and enjoy and learn.
Nuffields have two road speeds Fast and Shit your pants !
😊🤣
NO BRAZIL TIVEMOS A MARCA SATA MATILDE QUÊ FABRICAVA TRATORES: DÊ ESTEIRAS E DÊ PNEUS BEM COMO TAMBÉM TINHA COLEITADEIRAS...
Interesting information. Thanks.
I've just subbed to your channel, your presentations are very interesting and enjoyable. You clearly have a deep passion for these old machines and your style of narration is a pleasure to listen to. Keep them rolling.👍
Many thanks for your support.
Nice to see a varied selection of old tractors showing what the outfits are capable off. The vast majority of ploughs were set up nicely and did a good job in spite of the dry red clay sticking to the mouldboards. It's nigh on impossible to leave a nice clean back furrow when the soil conditions are like this but they did real well with what they had to play with. Well done to all who took part, very interesting presentation and i thoroughly enjoyed the machinery depicted here.
Thanks 👍
in comparison, the modern stuff has got too complex with more to go wrong !! todays stuff won't last as long, although my T5060 [ex Fiat] is still going well at 16 y old
That is supposed to be progress but I so sometimes wonder!😂
The Fordson Major once Great Brittan's strongest Tractor .
👍
all classical iron and well looked after by there proud owner/operators, as all your videos show; thanks
Thanks 👍
Great video and what a brilliant show. I see I featured at the very beginning on my original 1948 Allis B driving into the lineup behind my mate on his orchard d272, we came All the way from Somerset (right next door to where Yesterday's Farming was held in 2024 which I see from your other video you visited, a show I am involved in organizing and great video you have capturing it) This was my first time as an exhibitor and will be returning this year with another tractor. Keep it up, Zac
Glad you enjoyed this video and the Yesterdays Farming video. I hoping to make it to both events again this year if I can.
Jensen Interceptor and a new lathe, what a start to the vid! Another enjoyable vid
Well it was Christmas 😊
"ED-40" was a newer tractor in the AC line (mostly sheet metal updates) than the B, C/CA, and WD. I grew up with a WD on the farm, my brother picked up a B. They were inexpensive horsepower for a US farm, Europe maybe not as competitive at the time?
I thought the ED40 was a new tractor design built in the UK but I'm not an expert. Maybe someone will tell us.
Spent too long on non/poor starters, otherwise excellent video
Thanks for the feedback.
Now that's a variety in the workshop. Traction engines and a Jensen Interceptor!
😊
Nice video. The Fergy 20 was a nice restoration but why did they put the drawbar stays in the top link it’s supposed to go in the diff casing !!!
Not sure about that. I'm sure they had a reason. Maybe we will get a comment telling us.
The nuffield is 1948 110 off the line the reason why we where have ing the problems with as we discovered the coil was breaking down in the mag
It's good to know you solved the problem.
😊😊 alot radiators can still be fixed if it's not gone beyond repair U have 2 take them 2 a raditor shop and have them recored and boiled out 2 make sure they cleaned out and not stopped up alot of the U can't go 2 parts store or dealer and get no more / that other engine the points most likely needs 2 be clean they even have them W a engine that has a magneto 😊😊 / and that other tractor 🚜 😮 the sparkplugs and the points need 2 be cleaned when its very cold 🥶 😮 like 😮😮 gas tractors won't run long because the carb freezes up if they get cold enough U can see the frost on them if U do get them running U have 2 keep them that way and wrap the carb up 2 keep the cold air off them or they will freeze up and cut off and where ever U are at it will leave U 😮😮 there and won't restart because the carb is frozen and they may be water in the gas also gas tractors won't run on water either 😮😮 OMG 1 18 2O25
Nice car the jenson and nice turn out of tractors and engines ! Great video !
Thank you very much!
noticed the like number keeps showing 90. just saying
Another great video Brian. There's one thing I've been wondering for quite some time about the Fordson E27N. How come the clutch and brake pedals seems to be opposite of all other tractors? If you know why, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks and ATB Karl from Denmark
I have been wondering this my self. It might be related to the clutch being on the right on a Standard Fordson
@@Casterton-Vintage Thanks, that would make sense of course 😊
Great video 👍 long long time since I'd seen a Jensen Interceptor be nice to see it running and driving again 👍 that recalcitrant hit and miss engine had a Lister D carburettor fitted to it 🙄😂 a really nice turnout of exhibits there 👌
The Jensen is now up and running but I haven't road tested it because of the salt. I'll see if I can get a little bit of video for you.
Thank you 👍
Thank You For That Fabulous Video
No problem. Thanks
Brian, I just turned green with envy, having seen your Jensen Interceptor! I fell in love with the car, having seen if featured in a Sunday magazine in the 60's. I kept the page from the mag for 10's of years as a reminder of the car I would one day own myself! As an ADI in the 90's I had to get a guy through "the Test", only to discover, that he had an Interceptor stored in his Essex barn! never got to see it, as it was a FF, and That was my ideal ! Nice turn out for the show. Hope you had a good New Year, and look forward to seeing the Interceptor when you get it finished, and all you have planned for the new year.
Great Interceptor story. I also fell in love with them when I was in my younger days and decided I had to have one when I got the chance.
From an x plough man very well filmed and very well ploughed to all the competitors taking part
Many thanks
Great meet thanks for sharing 🍺
👍
An amazing day out. Great selection of tractors and engines. Love your car 🚗. Can you take a video of it driving. Thank you for your hard work doing the videos.
Thanks for your support. I'll try to get some car video when the salt is off the road.
Good video I'm very envious of the Dean Smith &grace i had one with silo services making the square thread screw Jack's for Mobil silos for castle cement, nice assortment of tractor's 👍
I'm looking forward to getting a job in the DSG!
Another excellent weekly video! Looks like you had a great day out, something for everyone on show - love the Jensen, hope to see it in action!
Thanks.
Great video. Lots of things to see and hear. Nice Ford 1200 at the end. The nicely done gray Ferguson must of been a 1950 or older. ? Thanks. I enjoyed it all.
Many thanks. I always think of you if I have chance to snap a garden tractor!
Thanks very much. 👍🏻. I’ve missed your last few videos. Sorry about that. 👋
The 155 was 1993. Sold out of a dealer near Boston if I remember rightly
Thanks for the date. It was a nice example.
Your workshop is amazing. You do well to find the time to fix things in the workshop and still manage to make a video every week
A video a week is quite a challenge. It will slip sooner or later but I will keep going if I can. There is plenty to video in the workshop but it takes time and the videos don't do as well as working tractors.
Nice little day out Casterton, many thanks for the chance to see this old well made machinery...
👍
