So the Numen are the Maiar of Elden Ring. The Maiar could take physical form and become a spirit again at will, however they become attached to their physical form and fall in love with earthly pleasures. So much so that Sauron divested himself of everything and all of his power as a Maiar, to manifest his will on Earth and took such drastic actions like creating the One Ring to sustain himself there, despite always having the option of returning to the Halls of Mandos for a respite. (Gandalf also refused to return to the Halls of Mandos when he died to his wounds from the Balrog) I'd say that the Elden Beast would BE Marika, as her spiritual form actually.

26:41 I believe Marika is the god of Chaos and the Gloam Eyed Queen is the god of Order. From what we can tell, Marika fractures the lands, the people, the Great Tree, and the Elden Ring, all-the-while butchering people and cultures, yet it seems the Gloam Eyed Queen allowed people to and have their death circle though the lands via the Death Rite until they're reborn as something or someone new. The Godslaying Apostles and Nobles acted as a form of cleansing by removing the taint of Outer Gods and keeping the skin of their chosen from entering into the cycle of death; which may be why Godwyn has been able to corrupt both the spiritual and physical manifestation of the Erd Tree/Great Tree.

What still confuses me is how was Miquella able to divest himself of his flesh and of St. Trina, if that is truly is his corrupted body within the cocoon in Mogh's Palace? Was he given a new body when he finally past the veil into the Shadow Lands? Or is that truly Miquella's body that we use to enter the Shadow Lands as well? Maybe someone can enlighten me, but this feels like an oversight in the lore.

If Marika is the Elden Beast, then she wields herself as a weapon in the final battle. Radagon turns into the Elden Beast's sword- the Sacred Relic Sword. Radagon _is_ Marika, therefore she, too, is the Sacred Relic Sword and thus is wielding herself

I view the One Great as nothingness, or what came before something. No good nor bad, just non-existence. The Greater Will is what causes something to exist, and thus fractures non-existence with its creation. Just the name itself explains its nature quite plainly: it is the primeval bringer of purpose. It brings joy and life, and their opposites naturally follow. For some, the shadowed side of life becomes unbearable, and they wish for a return to an existence of nothingness, no good nor bad. This has some interesting implications for Ymir's dialogue too. Both the Hornsent and the Nox were trying to connect to some pre-existing, eternal divinity. Considering the Two Fingers are a foundation of the "government" of the Lands Between, it seems like Marika may have had to agree that this was her intent too, when she ascended to godhood: that she was not attempting to *become* the omnipotent, but instead be a conduit for the omnipotent that already existed. FItting, then, that she puts Metyr in the shadows, and the connection to the Fingers' Greater Will no longer works. Now she has the "divine right", without being told what to do. Even the splitting of the hand into "Two Fingers" and "Three Fingers" could be seen as another example of Marika taking the part she wants and leaving behind the part she doesn't.

Radagon is so absent as a known quantity in the Shadow Lands that it confirms to me he merged with Marika later and isn't an Inherent part of her like St.Trina. Radagon's Son is literally commiting horrifying war crimes and zero mention of him? The only thing that's relevant to him is the idea of "shamans" (such a shitty translation compared to Miko in Japanese) have flesh that merged harmoniously with others proving Marika can totally merge with people later in life.

what do you think of the Isolated Divine Tower? One way we get to I thought was interesting, at the Tower of Return in the Castle Morne area, the last part of her journey (Fourth Church of Marika), as if to look back on everything, opens her mind (chest/the treasure) and reflects on everything, hence the Divine Bridge (its name is very stand off ish, and on wiki first glance ive found "Jung's vision of the psyche the anima/animus 'syzygy' of archetypes uses personal relations to achieve, finally, a bridge to the great transpersonal Self" and "According to Jung, individuals can discover a bridge to the collective unconscious through the development of their anima or animus. The anima and the animus represent the unconscious." on Anima and Animus wiki) though it is broken, there is a transporter, I dont get the implications i think, but when we use it, we get teleported to the only Isolated Divine Tower, and once we reach the grace we instantly see Maliketh now "Gurranq" or Marika's shadow or death, we can also see Radahn's and Godwyn Divine Tower, Further up and its Ranni and Rykard then further is the Erdree and The Omen Twins and now at the top we clearly see Farum Azula, I believe theres something to it but i havent grasped it yet

have you found the gravestone in Morne Moangrave odd? The hole in the middle and all? And that its never used again untill the Cerulean Coast, where it also is always raining (At Cerulean Coast Cross on the path to St Trin), anyway I googled these "holed gravestones" and what came up is Adder Stone or a Hag Stone, Ive read the wiki and the first believe on what those holes are is "Various traditions exist as to the origins of adder stones. One holds that the stones are the hardened saliva of large numbers of serpents massing together, the perforations being caused by their tongues." lol.

Your theory doesn't make sense. If Marika is ethereal and fleshless, she could not have children with Godfrey, much less physically shatter the Elden Ring/herself. Here is the likely course of history in Elden Ring: After defeating the Gloam-Eyed Queen, the Greater Will's first goddess, Marika learns the truth about the Greater Will's nature, she conspires with Godfrey to send him and the Tarnished ones away, to a land beyond the Elden Beast and the Greater Will's control, where they can grow in strength to eventually challenge and defeat the Elden Beast, avatar of the Greater WIll, and its servant-enforcer the Elden Lord. Marika is enslaved to the Greater Will, as the vessel of its power, she IS the Elden Ring (this is the original betrayal alluded to), she is forced to take Radagon as new King-Consort, and Elden Lord. Radagon is a fanatic and devoted to the Golden Order (leal hound of the Golden Order). That is why he is chosen. As Elden Lord, he is an enforcer of the Greater Will. He is an imperfect being, who hates himself (he is descended from the red-haired Giants Godfrey defeated. That is why it is alluded that he hates his red hair because it reminds him of his "cursed" origins) and desires perfection and mastery, first over himself (mastery of magic, mind, matter) then the world around him. Meanwhile, Marika is resting all of her hopes in her favoured son, Godwyn the Golden, and the faraway Tarnished. When the dragons attack the Erdtree, Godwyn defeats the dragons and BEFRIENDS them. Why would the dragons become friends and allies of Marika and Godwyn? Because they learn that Marika, Godwyn, and Godfrey and trying to defeat the Greater Will, the Elden Beast, the Two-Fingers, and free the Lands Between. Along comes Ranni who fucks everything up in her selfish desire to free herself from the Two Fingers. She knows she is being groomed to replace Marika, but doesn't know why. She murders Godwyn during the night of the black knives, inadvertently cursing and corrupting all of the Lands Between with the curse of undeath. In her despair that Godwyn, her best hope of breaking the Greater Will's control, was dead, Marika smashes the Ring, which launches the Shattering. No sooner does she bring the hammer down upon the Elden Ring is Marika taken over and possessed by the clueless Radagon who is attempting to mend the Elden Ring and restore the Greater Will's control. Radagon locks himself and Marika away inside the Erdtree after he proves unable to repair it without the rune fragments because he is NOT A GOD. The Elden Beast crucifies Marika/Radagon to keep them locked away and stop any more of Marika's meddling after Radagon's failure to mend the ring. The Golden Order and the Lands Between fall apart without its divine sovereign to guide them. Enter Marika's plan B: the Tarnished, who were originally meant to fight alongside Godwyn and Godfrey, are empowered with Marika's Grace to rise up from the dead over and over again, until one of them can defeat Radagon, the Elden Beast, and free the Lands Between of the Greater Will's neglect and abandonment. This is why the Golden Order fanatics of the Roundtable Hold turn on you. Gideon Ofnir conversed with the Two Fingers and, like Radagon, he sought to restore the Golden Order and the Elden RIng as it was, unable to accept the truth that Marika was right to destroy the Golden Order and smash the ring ("BUT WHEN GIDEON GLIMPSED INTO THE WILL OF QUEEN MARIKA, HE SHUDDERED IN FEAR."- All-Knowing Armor description, "PERHAPS THE QUEEN'S SORROW WAS JUSTIFIED..." - Gideon, after defeating Malenia). I had an idea about the “egg” that lady Ranila has . It’s resin from the erd tree and it rebirths you. And it was given by mericka as radagon . But what if the egg was how merika and radagon had children? What if they used it to rebirth themselves. Let’s look at Melania and miquella (I’m spelling their names from memory.. I’m probably screwing up a lot lol) But twins… male and female. Golden hair and red hair. What if they tried to rebirth themselves as 2 but it didn’t work… it ended up creating new Devine recreations of them but left the originals alive. But you see… there isn’t just 2 of them. The greater wills elden beast is also connected to them. And it rebirthed …. But it couldn’t rebirth an outter god…. So instead it summoned one… and it split between the 2… a god of life and death as a complete cycle…but infesting melinia with of the rot and decay cycle and miquella with with rejuvenating life cycle . Not let’s look at mezzmer and Melina. What if that was their first attempt at rebirth… and it created mezzmer and Melina but once again the elden beast couldn’t be rebirthed so it drew another outter god into them… a god of fire. Mezzmer got an all consuming red fire of heat and life and a serpent … and Melina got a fire of darkness and death and a gloam eye. And perhaps the shedding skin aspect… as all her deciples wear skins… and serpents shed skins. I dunno. But I like it. I like your theory too

The Gloam Eyed Queen is fingerslayer blade like Marika is Sacred Relic Sword, and GEQ was the old god of Placidusax and he was her consort, Marika kill her with the help of Maliketh, took the rune from her body, separate the rune of death, and leave the fingerlsayer blade to Nokron with her people to later betray Maliketh, The Greater Will and the Two Fingers ( and GEQ is a Medusa, she is depicted with hair like snakes in Godskin Peeler, more like to her being a snake too and this explain why Marika hate Snakes and threat like the abomnation, herectic and unholy beings.

You mentioned using the great rune of the Unborn which is interesting as all other great runes were (at least to me) only obtainable and taken by the demigods AFTER she smashed the Elden Ring, each great rune being a part of the whole. The rune of the Unborn if it was always inside the Amber Egg, was given chronologically before the Shattering. 🤔

I think a lot of people don't understand what people mean in the context of Elden Ring when its said "Marika is the Elden Beast" or "Radagon is Marika". We have to remember that Fromsoftware is Japanese, and much of the East's spiritual beliefs regarding buddhist concepts are tied deeply into the story and foundational aspects of these games similar to Studio Ghibli and that Miyazaki's visions. Marika can be the Elden Beast while being a fully separate physical entity. There is a tie to each other beyond the physical that doesn't need to be some one to one literal embodiment. Similar to buddhism and reincarnation. This can be seen with Wukong and its presentation of the main character not being a literal reincarnation of Wukong but instead a separate entity who embodies all aspects of Wukong. Hence at the end of that game, fighting old Wukong. Marika became a vehicle for the realization of the Greater Will's vision, whom sent the Elden Beast to the world of the Lands Between to commune. Or so we thought, since the fingers haven't heard the voice of the Will in so long.
