Love the channel, will watch most of the videos for reference for my personal running goals. I ran some mid distance for track in high-school but am definitely a quick athlete and was wasting my potential so I am starting to train for winter/spring seasons of track and field at 20 years old. In a similar boat to you, I imagine my opening 60 and 100 meter races will be quick, and I am going to pursue a sub 10.8 and sub 22.5 100 and 200 over the next three years of college running. Sprinting is the shit. Thanks for the inspo big dog.

Should I be on a club to apply for competition or can I do that all alone
Do you think superfly elite 2s would work for 300 hurdles. Never had sprint spikes, ive worn spikes like the dragonflys and run decent times but thoses are coming apart and want spikes more fit to my events. 110h, 300/400h and 400.

Block work before a race is never a bad idea to get comfortable. For you I may recommend a less steep angle on the block pads as it may make it easier to maintain proper angles when coming out. Good work keep going!

Not advisable to make any changes or experiment on day of competition - try a cold shower and a strong coffee instead of the weights. The weights are wrecking you. A better idea to get ready for block starts is during your race warm up do some hurdle jumps or similar plyos. Include some drills that mimick the shin angles at the start such as wall drills

Hi! I advice you to try a race resting in the morning. Stop doing this pre active potentiaton thing, even if worked out for you in the past. Keep grinding!
Try 12 x 400 with 2 minutes rest. Now that is lactic! I did that in my youth. (1500, 800 training). Now as a master's runner 6 x 300 with 2 minutes rest is my staple (400m training). Still difficult but not nearly as masochistic.
Middle distance runners are nuts😂I can’t even run a single 400m so that would be way too hard for me😅
I still remember how awful the max effort 5x150m with 3 min rest felt. 😅
