    I had similar first impression thoughts, but after about 400k in these shoes : - the heel slip surprised me too initially but it will disappear after a few ks. I hurt my foot a couple of times when lacing too tight. The tongue is really paper thin and hard to figure out at first. -The shoe is designed for ultras, things don't need to be super tight (for me) and the only issue I have with the heel counter is sometimes it lets in little rocks and you need to stop to take them out ( or you don't, and regret it afterwards ) - your feet need time to adapt to the rocker shape and narrow heel, I think they make me run more on my forefoot - the insecurity on uneven ground is just the initial impression, the forefoot is rather broad, I feel I can just stamp on anything and jump away 😂 - the grip is incredible, I never imagined that when you look at the modest lugs. - it is soft on the quads when running downhill. - breathabilty is amazing, you can get your feet wet and they dry instantly. I got the non ultra agravic speed as well for shorter runs and I really enjoy them too

    • @robin29991
      @robin29991 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks a lot for the detailed thoughts! Very helpful! This is of course the problem with first impressions. You never get the full picture. For example I can' t really comment on the grip much as it was very dry: No mud in sight. I only noticed the instability. But like you said, you get used to a shoe over time and how you're supposed to run in it. Being soft on the quads downhill is an interesting point... Saving the legs is always a big plus of Road Supershoes. I'm interested in the regular Agravic Speed as well. Are you using that one as more of a daily trainer? Is it lightweight? Adidas is clearly on to something here, and I'm quite excited to give this one some more Sessions.

      The regular agravic speed have an identical upper, less foam less bounce, but fast shoe nonetheless. They really fit my feet like a glove and I use them for training mostly. I think they are good fun too.

      @@solvidias779 Sounds good. From what I can see, it has 3mm and 4mm lugs, so a bit deeper than this one as well. Glad you enjoy my videos! I always say not to take them too seriously. But at the same time I put a lot of work into editing so it makes me happy when they are received well:)

    • @solvidias779
      @solvidias779 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      A big difference to the ultra is the split in the forefoot section and less propulsion. The grip in both shoes is not necessarily due to the lugs, but to the rubber. I believe it is way better than the Vibram material in the Genesis. The normal version gives you the ground contact feeling you may miss in the ultra.

    It’s great that they’ve taken the midsole tech to the trails, but all that good work can be easily undone if the upper isn’t giving you what you need… sounds like a “nearly but not quite” shoe…

      I use a DJI Action 2 camera on a little tripod. It' s a nifty little camera but the wind is a real problem. I had to delete so much otherwise good footage because it would have blown up your speaker. Thinking of experimenting with a little DeadCat style microphone cover.
