Nike Zoom Fly 6: Run Tested! The ultimate Trainer?

- No luck for me with the Adidas Adizero Evo SL drop! Too bad. So I just got the Zoom Fly 6 instead.
After one run, I think I made a good choice.
Watch as I take this Super Trainer on a run through Luxembourg and give you my first impressions.
Same here. Unsuccessful for the Evo SL so purchased the ZF6. Glad to see the runner from this small country. Moein!
Yeah, I scoured the internet for one and signed up for another Raffle system at Zalando. But this whole drop was beginning to annoy me a bit for just a Training Shoe!
Have to admit, I' m not actually from Luxembourg. I live right at the German border but I do like to film some of my videos here. So many cool locations!

This was actually Friday just 2 days ago(mistakenly said Sunday in the beginning for some reason). But National Holiday in Luxembourg so the same effect. This is basically the Business District of the city, so very empty on days where nobody is at work.
I'd like to live there

was looking for a shoe to add into the rotation with vaporfly 3 and invincible 3. this looks like a perfect fit
This should do really well then. Had the Invincible 1 and 2 and always found them really fun shoes. But they are quite locked into Easy/Recovery Runs. Pair it with the ZF6 and you've pretty much got everything covered there:)

Looks promising. Good in a way if the Peg Plus has a somewhat different feel despite being similar weight then should complement each other. Odd a shoe with a carbon plate bends that much but probably good in more of a racer/trainer. I have ordered a pair and should be able to try them in about a week.
If it is Carbon, then it must be very thin. It's not quite as flexible as the Endorphin Speed but much more than the Vaporfly and the Alphafly, which is even stiffer.
I did my Longrun in it this morning and it really is a very different shoe to the Pegasus Plus. Only the weight is the same. Felt quite dense cushioning, no ground feel, less snap but more bounce. You're right, they would definitely make a good Training Duo.
It is carbon
Just recently got into running, have been using a pair of new balance rebel v4 and running 3km in about 20 minutes keeping a zone 2 pace. I got these and I feel like I can’t maintain that slow a pace, It’s like they make me run quicker even with the plate being softer I do still notice the push. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to run with them and keep in a zone 2 pace.

I love the Rebel 4... But totally agree, this is just a faster, more aggressive shoe.

Absolutely, this shoe is now totally competitive in that range.
Though after my Longrun this morning, I do think I might prefer the Mach X2, at least for faster Training. It just feels a bit more propulsive to me...

The plate saves my metatarsal from rocks on the roads ❤
Plus this SR02 is soft, but dense. No chance of bottoming this out for you.
My only concern is that the ZoomX in my Vaporfly V2 lost the pop at around 100 miles.. You mentioned that it might have been the plate died and not the foam ❓
@@i.p2088 Yeah, might be the plate losing stiffness for you. Hard to say of course...
I'm not worried about durability on this one for sure and will keep testing. But this really is mostly SR02 and not that much ZoomX anyway. The plate here is also much less rigid than in the Vaporfly to begin with.
Oh really. I was out in a 2.5 year old pair of VF2 yesterday that have done over 200 miles in and worked well enough. Got some others (and some VF1) over 300 miles and still usable.
My Vaporfly V2 just went flat during the run.. Finished now run but it was like having a flat tire.. The heel just did not bounce back up..
Or it could be some kind of shoe defect maybe? The plate loses stiffness over time but nothing as bad as you describe. Like Tim says, they're totally still good to run in after a lot of mileage. Maybe something is wrong with yours...@@i.p2088
this shoe is not 220 grams its more like 280
I'm talking about the weight in my size 40 EU(small feet). It is in fact 220g.
