Happy belated birthday 🎉 The bunny looks so cuddly! I love the little mouse. I can’t wait to see what clothes you decide on for the mouse😊
Awww thanks so much lovely. Hope all is well with you ❤
Loved the Guinea pig, I have two, four years old now. Be nice in a little embroidery hoop as a gift for your mum! Your little mouse has female hips! A dress in that material would be very pretty. Your bunny is gorgeous! Enjoy being at home for a while after all your travelling. I’m trying to finish last years Christmas crochet nutcrackers before this years advent starts! Take care ❤
Now I'm curious how you know she has female hips 🤔🤣 maybe I've been misgendering my little critters 🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣❤️
Hi Dawn. Just found you. I watch Jeanette all the time xo
How lovely, thanks for coming over to the channel. Jeanette is fab isn't she 😁🥰
The bunny is so adorable. Wouldn’t it be cute if he has a waistcoat for each season? ❤
It would, unfortunately, he's going to a forever home, but maybe he could receive some little packages so he doesn't miss us too much 🤣😘😘
Lovely podcast. Thanks.Jane
Thanks for tuning in Jane ❤
Speaking of enabling, I spent almost 20 minutes looking at velvet yarns. Your bunny is darling, and I want to make one. Loved your shawl and socks, I am not a fan of knitting color work, but I can admire it. Really, TBH, I loved every thing you have done. Looking forward to seeing your mouse and that beret, will be stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Lol Lisa you crack me up, I hope something "fell" in your basket 🤣 Hope you're all well, it's been way too long since I spoke to you ❤
Hi Dawn! I was so happy to see a podcast from you! ❤ I love your Hocus Pocus socks, as well as everything else you shared! I enjoy crocheting with chenille so much better than cotton and it's SO soft and cuddly! Your bunny is so cute!! 🥰 Love him! I think I would enjoy knitting an Aria shawl too! Such a cool design. Take care! See you soon!
Debbie I think you'd like that shawl pattern. The variation of colourways is endless. Hope your Christmas makes are going well 🤞😘😘
Hi Dawn. I love the shawl you are working on. It's very unusual with the leaves. Your rabbit is very cute too, especially his little pot belly. Like you, I enjoy a bit of hand sewing and your mouse is adorable. Do you still make things for your dolls house? I've just bought a kit to make my dolls house family a patchwork quilt. I got the idea from Helen at Mousiemakes last video where she went to a dolls house fair. X
Anita, I'm afraid my dollhouse has become very neglected lately. Maybe I could do something with it for vlogmas 🤞 I'm on youtube catch-up mode and Helen's video is on my watch list... now you've mentioned dollhouse kit I have fomo and feel like I need to be enabled too 🤣🤣😘
Lovely to catch up with all of your making, Dawn! The floppy bunny is so lovely - I used chenille yarn for the first time last month when I made some ghosts and a pumpkin with it. For some reason I had thought I wouldn’t like using it but actually loved it… so now looking for more chenille projects, maybe a Christmas one… xx
I saw your makes, they turned out beautifully 😍 I'm definitely a chenille convert 😘😘
Hi Dawn, I love the nearly finished autumn shawl, can't decide whether I like that better than your original! Ooh the rabbit is squishy and cuddly, and the mouse is definitely a lady 😂. Your adapted pumpkin has worked out well, and I absolutely love the bargain crown from your friend's shop. I think it's beautiful xx
Thanks Maureen it was inspired by "our" Cinderella pumpkin 😁😘
Thanks for sharing. You have such a fun mix of crafts. Love your new books, wow, that magic one is full of interesting possibilities. I think that guinea pig needs to be in your guest loo. Maybe tone down the color with a wash or stain, frame him. 🤔 I look forward to vlogmas.
Oh yes that's great idea. It would look great with a bit of ageing 😁😘
I adore your rabbit and mouse. I'm not a maker of toys or small items except hats or socks. I too have Readly. I think Ali from Starry Eyes Ali mentioned it. I used to love buying magazines but they got so expensive. Now I read newspapers and loads of different magazines...craft, family history, health and women. You cab also let other family members have it so my husband reads loads of newspapers on there. Love those books. I put a few on my Secret Santa list so I hope I get at least one of them. x
Fingers crossed Santa grants your wishes 🤞🤞😁😘
That’s a beautiful shawl. I’ve just picked up knitting again. Enjoying it immensely although I haven’t been able to knit further than the first few rows of a sock before having to frog it for some reason or another. I’m not giving up. Love the bunny and I would love to see the mouse in that waistcoat. Sooo cute.
It took me a year to get socks right, don't give up because you'll love making them 🤞😘
Hello my dear, been in something of a crafty slump myself this summer - maybe something in the air in the village? 😂😂 I love both version of the shawl/scarf and have put the pattern on my “things to knit soon” list 😂. By the way that orange sock yarn knits up beautifully. I’m halfway through the second sock for my boy and they look great! If you need any help tidying the studio give me a shout!
Omg yes, Nicola, I definitely need help sorting the workshop out!!!! It's a MESS 🤣🤣 we need a crafty day soon, it's been way too long ❤
@@thewovenalmanac let me know when you’re ready to tackle it and give me a shout - I’ll come running 😂😂😂
The shawl is beautiful! I love the verigated and cream colours together. I love Sorenstrene Green, nothing nice than just wandering round it😊
Isn't it the best shop to potter in, I was so excited when one opened close to me 🎉🎉🎉🤣😘
Lovely to see a crafty episode Dawn. I feel lucky to have to have one of your hand dyed yarns (it’s been turned into socks).
Ahhh Julie, thank you my lovely 🥰 It's been a long while since I've been at the dyeing pots 🤔😘
Dawn I think your shawl is fabulous. I like it when you wore it as a shawl. Why not line the back and then you will like it better
I might do that Helen 🤔😘😘
Hello Dawn🙋♀️ your shawl is stunning oh I love it really pretty great to see you x
Thanks lovely, I'll be nice and warm this winter 😁😘
❤❤morning dawn,,,,, It's been awhile ,,, 🎉🎉love ur shawl,,,,, Stories,,, Take care, Elaine ❤️🏠
Thanks so much Elaine 🥰 😊
Hi Dawn. Your finished shawl is lovely. I love the changing colors in the leaves! When I was first in Girl Scouts here in the US we did some linoleum cutting and stamping. From that experience I learned that your cutting tools really do need to be really sharp in order to be safe! If they are dull you’ll tend to push harder and then the chance for slipping and giving yourself a nasty cut is very high. (Don’t ask me how I learned this lesson!) At the time I did that I was just starting to learn English so let’s hope that I was just not able to understand the cautions. 60+ years later still sporting a nice scar on my hand. Be careful. Fun to catch up with all your projects. Until next time. Vrede en vreugde
Lol I hope you haven't got the scars to prove it 🤞🤣 I'm not sure if I'll be investing in "good" tools yet 🤔🤣😘
I’m loving your shawl! It’ll be perfect for that bit of warmth at late summer nights out.. I picture a bar in Malta and a nice drink and a bit of a gentle breeze from the beach.
Thank Claudia, we had such a lovely time 😁😘
Wow your shawl is stunning x
Thanks so much, I'm really pleased with how it turned out 😁😘
Hi Dawn, I love the shawl and the new one you've just started is going to be gorgeous in those colours. I've just finished making a hobo bag from an old pair of jeans for a very kind young neighbour. She wanted it to be distressed and I have to say that I found that difficult because I like things to be neat and tidy 🤣, but I enjoyed making it and she loves it. I'm looking forward to seeing the Autumn display, my Cinderella pumpkin has never been put away since last year, it lives on my hearth xx
My Cinderella Pumpkin didn't get put away either Maureen 🤣😘
Great video- love, love your scarf! It looks amazing as a scarf or a shawl. Enjoy your content very much. Be well!
Thanks so much 🎂🥰
Hey!! 👋 I hope you're having a great time in Malta right now! Lovely podcast, Dawn. Your finished Aria shawl is stunning. I like the newest one too. I'll enjoy seeing it when it's finished. Have a great week!! xx
Thanks Debbie, we had a great time 😘🥰
Lovely catch up, great to see your projects. Take care Dawn x
Thanks so much 🥰
So happy your back!❤
Thanks Alice, I can't believe how long it's been 🤦♂️🤣😘
all lovely things,
Thanks so much 🥰
Love your scarf. You always have plenty to show x
Thank you Jane 🥰
I lived in Germany and shopped in Roermond in Holland a lot. And Xenos and Zeemans were my go to shops along with Vroom and Dreesmans Happy memories.
I'm so sad V&D doesn't exist anymore 😔
Wonderful episode Dawn, love everything, especially your stunning shawl, it’s gorgeous! Happy crafting 🧶🧵🪡💕
Thanks so much lovely 🥰
Everything is lovely❤😊
Thanks so much 🥰
The aria shawl is beautiful! I love the yarn you chose and I can’t wait to see it worked up😊
A long overdue catch up of woven almanac.. a wet dull day here in Aberdeenshire so no distractions and enjoying a relaxing time watching you today. Gorgeous makes Dawn. Love the socks your knitting. Are they knitted in dk?? That colour would be perfect for my husband and wondering if they can be made longer. He works our dogs in the wintertime at local estates. These would look fab with his plus 4 trousers. ❤❤❤
Hi Dawn I'm a new subscriber I'm Michelle from Northern Ireland. I found you through Jeanette Clegg lol aww she's lovely. All your makes are beautiful I love your shawl ❤ Really enjoyed the podcast x
Hi Michelle welcome to the channel, always lovely to hear from one of our Jeanette's viewers. Thanks so much for commenting, it's great to hear where everyone is from 🥰😘
You have been busy and good to plan to get a few WIPs out of the way. Love that shawl x
Thanks Jane, it's nice to feel motivated again 😘
Hi there, I'm absolutely intrigued.... could you do a tutorial on how you purl continental? I have issues pulling continental as well. I'm an English style, but sometimes need the option because of aches and pains as well! Lovely to see your projects. ❤
Hi Alice lovely to hear from you ☺️ yes I absolutely do that. I'll get on to it soon 😁😘
Hi Dawn oh my that shawl is beautiful I might have to add that to my Ravelry page 😻. All your projects are fabulous xx
Thanks so much Sharon I'm really happy with the yarn choice..3rd time lucky 🤣🤣😘
You have certainly been doing well with sock making - such beautiful socks! How gorgeous is the crème egg yarn and project bag from Jeanette?! I hope you manage to keep going with the Jay sweater - the colourwork looks so lovely. I don’t often make garments but I’m tempted by that one! Thanks for a lovely podcast x
I was so chuffed she sent it to me Helen 🥰 It's a great pattern but I got bored knitting round and round. I'm knuckling down on it this time 😁😘
Hi Dawn what a great array of makes I love them all you are very talented. I especially loved your shawl the colours are working up beautifully I think I may have to put that on my to do list. Thank you for sharing your makes x
Thanks so much Julie, I love to try new things but I have a hard time finishing them 🤣🤣😘
Good luck with the Ariana cardi it’s like a jigsaw I had to put a numbered sticker on each square lol maybe I’m thick any way it was very big so try as you go
I'm trying to build myself up to tackle it 🤣🤣🤣🤣😘
You have such an interesting mix of crafts. Enjoy seeing what you are up to. See you soon.
Thanks so much lovely 😘😘
Love your podcast.. also really like your hair ..I'm totally gray ..but decided to color mine chocolate brown..and I love it..sorry you didn't feel well..enjoyed seeing your crafting..really nice..❤
Oh I'm so happy you're pleased with it. I did toy with the idea of going grey but my hairdresser had a look last year and said I was only about 20% grey so she advised against it... For now 🤣😘
The Cozy Autumn Socks are lovely. Thanks for the recommendation- I’ve added them to my list.
Oh good, it's always nice to have a list on the go. Let me know if you ever cast them on 😘😘
I remembered!! 👏 Your Jay sweater! When you asked! I think it looks very nice. I have a dark teal yarn to make myself a Whitmoor Cardigan. I plan to begin it soon! This week hopefully! I'm almost done with Ellie's Country Garden socks pattern. Oh yes, I want to make an Ariana cardigan too. So many pretty patterns and not enough time in the day. Your Easter bag and yarn from Jeanette is so sweet. I love those socks. 💖
You know I think I cast that on when we had our zoom group Debbie 🤣🤣🤣 I'll finish it I promise 🤣🤣😘
Hi Dawn , which size did you make for the cosy Autumn socks in , like you I always do a 64 st cast on , do you think if I did the 60 st cast on & used a 2. 5 mm needle instead of the 2. 25 this would work x
Hi June, yes that's exactly what I'm doing. 30 stitches and increased 1 needle size. Good luck 😁😘
Hi Dawn, I just knew you were going to show the colourwork jumper! Yes, I remember it and think it'll be perfect for those cold days. As for a lacy cardigan, don't worry - mam just used to drop stitches all the time and never bother to pick them back up - lace without the effort 🤣, of course the thing disintegrated more and more until it was unwearable ha ha. Love the geese - and the wreath and holder. I think the wreath could be made with willow. Rachel once bought me a willow weaving course as a present and I made a huge angel to put in the garden. That was many years ago and the angel is long gone. Glad you're feeling and sounding better xx
I'm definitely good at dropping stitches Maureen 🤣🤣🤣 I can imagine willow weaving is pretty tough on your joints but it must be amazing to make your own baskets. Don't get me started 🤣🤣🤣😘
❤❤morning dawn!!! Lots on the go!!! Congratulations on new boat!! ELAINE 🏠💗
Thanks so much Elaine I'm so happy with it, can't wait to get out bobbing around 🥰😘😘
Lovely to spend an hour with you! When we lived in France I loved a mooch round Action!!
I LOVE the Action 🤣🤣 but I always end up buying a load of rubbish I don't need 🤣🤣😘
