I am in love with Daffodil!! 😂 I’m loving the Canal Boat blanket and showing it in my next podcast… but not as far with it as I’d hoped due to achy arms and right elbow - having to ration my crochet time!!! 😳 I agree with you - it’s good to spread the word about designers who give their patterns for free and Lucy’s explanations and photos are exceptional. xx

Lovely blanket, but I must finish my scholach before I start another blanket, I also have a long term Battenberg blanket on the go! The wee mice are lovely, not sure I have the patience anymore! I did do a kit with four tiny mice and it nearly finished me off!! Take care x

Hello lovely Dawn 🧶 What a lot of lovely makings! Your Canal Blanket looks fabulous, those colours are super cheery and your new dishcloth yarns are such a pretty mix of pastel shades. I love the Maileg mice too but they’re so pricey and I’ve just bought some sewing patterns to make my own. I already crochet mice, bunnies and monkeys, all with outfits, they’re in my Etsy shop Stitching in Daydreams. I really enjoy sewing their little skirts and knitting they’re cosy jumpers, all my own pattern designs. Your little mice are adorable, will you make more outfits for them?? Hi Dawn, always love to see the crafty bits... I started so many Christmas crochet projects... I don't think I finished one 😳 I love the almanac, I would love to use something like that - and I wouldn't have thought of making copies and being able to use those for next year. Such a good idea! I added a note to myself to start my daughter's advent ASAP - you should have seen my scramble this year. You're inspirational, thank you 🤩

You have lots of lovely things to look forward to! I’m so glad you decided to join the Attic24 blanket CAL - stripes are definitely my favourite kind of blanket pattern! I adore the Yuletide blanket but did NOT enjoy making it. I’ll look forward to hearing more about the teddy bear fair too. Major things are happening in my craft room, too, to release my work table so that I can once again have a space for actually crafting on it… but it’s a bit of a long and arduous task… xx

I love a stripey crochet blanket. It is my favorite Kind of crochet project. toys are fun and adorable, but, for me, crochet is something I do as busy work, and I want a simple repetitive stitch. No counting😉. That being said, I do keep an eye out for just the right toy to make as a charity donation, usually an animal with outfits. This year I went to really declutter my fabric stash. And we all know that as hard as you try to use them all up, the bin(s) is never emptied. So my goal is at least one scrappy quilt a month. We'll see. I have a non- scrappy on the craft table now that I need to get done first. Thanks for sharing. I enjoy seeing a variety of crafts. I hope your new year brings much joy.

Loved the Guinea pig, I have two, four years old now. Be nice in a little embroidery hoop as a gift for your mum! Your little mouse has female hips! A dress in that material would be very pretty. Hi Dawn. I love the shawl you are working on. It's very unusual with the leaves. Your rabbit is very cute too, especially his little pot belly. Like you, I enjoy a bit of hand sewing and your mouse is adorable. Do you still make things for your dolls house? I've just bought a kit to make my dolls house family a patchwork quilt. I got the idea from Helen at Mousiemakes last video where she went to a dolls house fair. X

Lovely to catch up with all of your making, Dawn! The floppy bunny is so lovely - I used chenille yarn for the first time last month when I made some ghosts and a pumpkin with it. For some reason I had thought I wouldn’t like using it but actually loved it… so now looking for more chenille projects, maybe a Christmas one… xx

I adore your rabbit and mouse. I'm not a maker of toys or small items except hats or socks. I too have Readly. I think Ali from Starry Eyes Ali mentioned it. I used to love buying magazines but they got so expensive. Now I read newspapers and loads of different magazines...craft, family history, health and women. You cab also let other family members have it so my husband reads loads of newspapers on there. Love those books. I put a few on my Secret Santa list so I hope I get at least one of them. x

That’s a beautiful shawl. I’ve just picked up knitting again. Enjoying it immensely although I haven’t been able to knit further than the first few rows of a sock before having to frog it for some reason or another. I’m not giving up. Love the bunny and I would love to see the mouse in that waistcoat. Sooo cute.

Hello my dear, been in something of a crafty slump myself this summer - maybe something in the air in the village? 😂😂 I love both version of the shawl/scarf and have put the pattern on my “things to knit soon” list 😂. By the way that orange sock yarn knits up beautifully. I’m halfway through the second sock for my boy and they look great! If you need any help tidying the studio give me a shout!

Hi Dawn. Your finished shawl is lovely. I love the changing colors in the leaves! When I was first in Girl Scouts here in the US we did some linoleum cutting and stamping. From that experience I learned that your cutting tools really do need to be really sharp in order to be safe! If they are dull you’ll tend to push harder and then the chance for slipping and giving yourself a nasty cut is very high. (Don’t ask me how I learned this lesson!) At the time I did that I was just starting to learn English so let’s hope that I was just not able to understand the cautions. 60+ years later still sporting a nice scar on my hand. Be careful.
