What are some great non-wool sock yarn options? I'm very allergic to wool and find it extremely itchy. I am curious as to what you think about other fiber options.

Could you please do a tutorial on how not to get a little hole in the side of your sick when increasing your stitches?

I didn’t learn about your club until January 2025. I ordered January 4th but things got crazy here and I didn’t try to download the initial patterns until now. Then I saw the 24 hour cut off. Now I can’t get them. Please help!

I adopted a Beesly 5 years ago too! She peered out of the internet into my soul from the local Humane Society. She is a strawberry blonde terrier mix. She would also like to be an only dog, but she has to share her home every work week with my daughter's rescue, bichon Louie. They tolerate each other. I became a Summer Lee fan when I found your book The Sock Project in the library, read it cover to cover, and then had to buy it for myself! I've since knit 4 pairs of socks! Loving your sock world! 90's grunge and knitting were meant to be together. I can't do 99% of audio books either. My brain can't follow. Which is funny because I do VO, so voices are something I should be able to follow. 😅 I have found that if the narrator is a good at acting then I can OCCASIONALLY follow, but most people don't seem to like audio books read by people with acting talent. They prefer fairly monotone deliveries and I haattteeeeee it. I love the Amelia Peabody series (written by Elizabeth Peters) read by Barbara Rosenblat (fantastic actress). It's a series set during the boom of archeological expeditions to Egypt in the 1880-1910's. It's very much Sherlock Homes meets Hercule Poirot; blended together into a bullhead English woman. It's fantastic, and I love it. I grew up reading them and was devastated when I realized one can't simply go galavanting off to Egypt to hunt for archelogical wonders.

I might be missing something but the section on moving the beginning of round appears to be happening after a color change has already happened. What is the process for moving from ribbing to the first color change. Feels like something is missing here.

I actually think the two patterns could work together if the colors were the same or at least complimentary. Use the same hot pink and cranberry in the foot pattern and keep the heel and toes neutral maybe? I think it's a great idea, just the the colors that maybe were off-putting to you??? Course, I'm also a person who struggles using florals and grid patterns together, so my ideas may not be the most creative. Great job and thanks for sharing!

I really like the second pattern orange and green. Why don't mix it with cables ??

Don't frog the whole sock. Cut it in half and knit a cranberry foot onto the pink cuff and then a cream or pale green cuff onto your foot. Thank you for sharing your life and skills with others.

i think those two patterns together were great, just too many colors for the palette maybe. however, i wonder if something like an ugly sock challenge would be a fun thing to do? you've mentioned you don't wear your socks as much because they're pristine samples of your work, but what if you had some ugly bumming-around-the-house socks??? we need socks for all occasions because they're functional pieces of clothing at the end of the day, having some we aren't scared to mess up or get dirty is a good thing!

I love the colours too, but I'd combined the beige with the pink and the orange with the dark red.

I think it would look cool if maybe one of the colors from the leg was carried through on the foot to give it a little cohesion! Nice effort, though! It looks like you learned a lot!

Hi there. Do you have a way of doing this when you are adding in a color in a ribbed section? How do you weave in ends when you are purling? I am knitting the Breton striped socks which are all ribbed.
