    Should I use 2.5 mm or 2.75 mm needles for the colorwork? The Addis 9 inch circulars come in 2.5 mm and the Chiaogoo 10 inch circulars come in 2.75 mm. Is it going to matter which ones we use?

    I love my Chiaogoo Interchangeable Minis for sock knitting! They come in 3" and 2" sizes, so I use a 3" one on the right and smaller 2" on the left. It is way easier than DPNs ☺️

    I almost gave up on color-work socks! I was knitting magic loop and going across “the corner” was a nightmare. Using a 9” circular was game changing. Thank you, thank you!

      Yesss same! The end of each 'half' of the sock was a nightmare 😅 9inch is so much easier!

    OMG, thank you for being a “dropper and picker upper”! I was convinced I was going to be a 1 color knitter for the rest of my life! I’ve watched so many videos where it seemed soooo confusing 😩 I’m running out and getting my 9” circular needles 🧶

    Thank you, thank you! You have taken the mystery and fear out of adding color to my socks. I love your video, very clear and concise. I love that you didn’t speed through your knitting. I want to see as much from you as is available. I’m excited to try color in socks. Thank you so much!

    Thanks for this great video! Know I understand why my 60 stitch color work sock doesn't fit like I thought it would. Also I am your #1 fan, but I am probably not the only one. 😂 I can't wait to knit every single one of your socks! Keep 'em coming!

    Good info but how do you handle long floats ( 10-11 sts) in socks? Catching floats really reduces stretch!

    Thanks for this video! I just bought your Little Dots pattern and was having difficulties with the floats at the start and end of the round, with Magic Loop. I will try the Addi Sock Needles, but can you tell me if you use the longer of the needles in your right or left hand? Perhaps it doesn’t matter?
    Thanks again for the great video! Mary Ann XX

    Help!! I can not do the tiny circular needles. Just transferring cramped my hands. I’m basically a dpn knitter and I’m having an almost impossible time doing magic loop at the corners it’s a big mess. I’ve tried a dozen times on magic loop so now I’m going to give dpns a shot. Anyone else in my situation. No one I know does socks so I’m all my myself with you tube.

    Question: I’m currently knitting a colourwork/fairisle cowl, and I’ve done all of the fair isle chart rows. I reached the last 2 rows, and these rows ask for me to knit a plain stockinette in the background colour, so I went ahead and chopped off my other pattern colour. But I’m confused about gauge. Stockinette’s gauge is different to stranded colourwork; stockinette rows tends be wider than stranded colourwork rows. So If I use the same size needle, wouldn’t I end up with a project that became wider? Help please! *In a nutshell, how do I switch from fair isle to plain stockinette in the same project?*

    What type of yarn do you tend to use for your socks? Do you prefer wool over acrylic, I have knit using acrylic and wool and I think wool looks better but I really like the softness and the squishiness of the acrylic. I would like to know your opinion, I have spent so much on buying wool blends, and I love them but I do enjoy some of the acrylic blends.

    Summer, do you know if ladders become more of a problem if you have the wrong size needle for the yarn ply or thickness..? I’ve not knitted more than 4 socks in my life time, and only thick yarn...so having an issue now

      Wondering about the same thing…would 2.5 mm work for Addi easy knit ? …3.0 mm seems like it would be too big…

    Hey! I’m a new knitter trying to start color work after only doing a few vanilla socks so when you say go up a size in the needle, I usually use 2.25 so what size should I go up to to try color work? Probably a stupid question but I’m such a beginner it’s not even funny!

    • @Brinalea1031
      @Brinalea1031 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a stupid question at all.
      Go up to a size 2.5. 🙂
