Awesome option. I’m 100% confident when I ordered my PVS-14 a few months ago I would have went this route. Tanto didn’t offer manual gain adjustment. Great video. I legit had to google “Sybian” because I did not know what that was. Well suffice to say… thanks for the eternal pop up adds I’ll be receiving in the future. I live in San Francisco and I still find ways to train. I’m so stoked to get some nods because how there are random dark area ALL OVER the city. I find night walks fun and walking around the city trying to not be seen is also a form of training

I have an RVM-14 and love it! One important note: the RVM-14 j-arm will only let you use ONE eye. I got one and it seemed very solid and more dependable than the AX-14 j-arm, but the rvm arm only let me use my right eye. I'm cross eye dominant (right handed, left eye dominant) so my pistol red dot always goes to my left eye, but I shoot rifle right handed.

What are the cons of using dual monoculars/J-arm vs dual housings? I can think of some like 1 button functionality and weight. As someone whos going to be building their own nods, this seems like a more viable cost effective option to see if I can do it without breaking anything lol

These optics are too expensive compared to rpo/carson, if photonis lowers the price 20-25%, I'd consider them.

Maybe do a little short on people wanting to use 3.7v rechargeable batteries in their nvgs. I never have but I always heard it’s dangerous. Be interested to hear your thoughts on it

You know I have to give you a hard time about your magnifier... you know a smart person would take it off at night! Right??? You can't use it at night and leaving it on makes it harder to look through your night vision without hitting the magnifier.

Shoot I remember in the military we were lucky to get a set that didn’t have crazy blems much less a good SNR. I remember the first set I was issued were green phosphorus with small to medium sized blems. We are spoiled today because not only can we purchase NVGs but we can pick what tubes we want if you have the money.

I see you’ve added some very high spec 40+ snr supergain tubes in the past week or so. These are some of the very best specced tubes I’ve seen anywhere 👍
