A couple things… According to an interview with CHS and HRT tactical you guys have a panning/articulating version of the mh1 coming out… when can we expect more info on that? I also heard, from those interviews, that the IR illuminators will be removable…can you touch on how that would work More importantly what have you guys done to address the quality issues of the mh1. There’s a pretty popular video floating around the night vision subreddit that shows someone completely breaking the mh1 by forcing them outwards and they snap, with very little force applied. The quality on these seems very flimsy
I got handpicked supergains from you guys a year ago and they’re great. Heavy canopy on my land and I can get around just fine without IR.
Do the thermnights have the "super resolution" as well?
Has anyone heard anything about this mh1 housing bending?
Great info
C r a z y... Good job gentlemen
What happened to the panning arms for the MH1 that you talked about with Cold Harbor Supply?
18350 batteries anyone?
trevors body
as long as the MH1 has the flexing issue and only 1 fix point per pod to the bridge its a NoGo.
Any word on when the panning version of the bridge will be available?
They already released the update remotely. Just lightly tap your MH-1s from the front, and they'll bend apart🤌
I can’t find the MH-14 for sale anywhere- when is it being released?
Can’t find the reinforced bridge either?
Just got my MH1 from CNV in November, love them. Look forward to switching to the reinforced plate and external battery adapter.
Great channel. How does the civilian Xe have "almost the same" IR illumination power when the civilian is 32 mW and the high power is 90 mW? I don't understand how there is only 4 mW difference.
Placing my order Tuesday 😮💨
let me guess, if You ask the price then You can't afford it
So it's a fake Nocturn Tanto? The LLI Fanto.... Has a ring to it
sick hoffman shoutout
Free idea: Someone make a powdered tungsten/polymer blend battery pack so you don't need to have a separate counter weight system. Example: Sig frames on the Legion P320 X5 series. They made a polymer pistol weigh 43oz by infusing powdered tungsten into the polymer frame material.
I just take a 31 battery pack and use those Velcro stickers and some counter weights to add a Velcro spot to my battery pack with counterweights under the Velcro patch so it’s all one unit. But a heavier metal battery pack itself is a sweet idea and I’d use that over what i currently do
By infusing what they really mean is gluing titanium to polymer lol
bad idea as no one needs more dead weight. If you need to increase weight, put something useful back there.
Maybe I misunderstood but it still seems like the Daisho converts from bino to mono more seamlessly then the Mh1? I like the manual gain it has but it sounds like going back and forth takes some work.
If memory serves its two screws (where it articulates) to separate a pod from the bridge
i wish LLI would take my aeternus omni 8s as trade in to a MH1 but apparently they dont do trade ins anymore :( also i got my mystery meat swapped out for real fujis lmao
I know alot of people who do bridged 14s or got into the Nocturn DAISHO system and SAY theyre set up to take off one pod to pass off to a friend...but I actually am one of those guys. I have a particular friend I shoot with who will drop 2k on a new handgun every 6 months, but when I bring up maybe buying a PVS14 to get into NODs (like the rest of us all have) he claims "dude, thats so expensive" when he just bought 2 Staccatos. Like ok dude. But he likes to come to courses with us that have night portions...and he can never partake. So if hes there, before hand, I break down my Duals into two monos and I'll just run the mono for the course, and now he has one. I am also one who started off on a mono and built it up into a dual system. Economically - it worked out for me. Wish the MH-1 was around at that time...but never too late to upgrade.
Sounds like you’re just enabling his behavior. Let him sit out a bit
@ oh trust me I do 😂 last run I kept them in my bino config and he was like “you have that mono for me?” And I played the “oh fuck man! I forgot! Hey…when you getting a pvs-14 dude?” Lol he got so booty hurt and sat in the car the entire night shoot. Trust me I make sure he doesn’t get comfortable with it😂😂 the biggest thing I really do when wanting to break them down to two systems is let my girlfriend have a set when we go out and shoot together. She likes shooting and night vision, but not like how I do lol. Anytime he sends me a pic “got a new gun!” And it was like 200 bucks below an entry pvs-14…he knows me automatically response
That's my friend Daniel... but he buys 100 PSA AR-15s and proclaims it's just as good.
Stop letting him borrow shit.
@@kevin11288 Trust me lol I toy with him, read my above comment lol
Is it true that the DTNVS-MG has the gain turned all the way down every time you power off the system? As in it doesn't return to the gain setting you left it at when you turned it off?
I used to want an OGL or NGAL. Then I saw this. I’m extremely impressed
I bet you can only tell which one is the SG tube when you overlay the images next to each other. I bet you probably couldn’t tell if it head mounted.
My man really said asian math 🤣
They need to go back to P43 as main offering. It's much more efficient.
Can you make the lasers go pew! pew! ?
deff a skeleton right of frame LMAO
Ok I can see the super gain diff now
Do your eyes compensate when you run thermal on one eye and night vison on the other by combining both images into one in your brain?
Got me with the fort.
Good stuff
Thanks for watching.
plz no music
As someone who did previously own a nice supergain tube (have since sold it for the following reason): the supergain tubes can have more of a black and white color pallet as opposed to a blue pallet which for some reason you don't see on TH-cam videos (maybe it was just my tube? who knows). My eyes really did not pick up contrast with the black and white gradient as well as they did with the blue color pallet. For example, the supergain tube had all around really good specs, 37.7 snr etc but somehow my eyes picked up less information compared to a 22 snr AGM mystery meat tube solely due to the lack of contrast in the black and white image. Personally, I PREFERED the 22 snr AGM tube over the supergain despite the on paper superiority of the L3 tube. Obviously everyone will prefer different color pallets, but I have heard these complaints from others online as well and thought this was a good place to at least share my own experience. Kevin also states that the supergain tube appears to have more noise as well and I can absolutely confirm this. Seeing smaller objects was more difficult with the supergain compared to the AGM device despite them having the same resolution. The smaller objects tended to come out as more of a white color and when that white color is noisy it is incredibly challenging to pick out details. I also would like to preface that I am not saying don't buy the supergains, as it is personal preference at the end of the day. They are certainly interesting tubes!
My L3 unfilmed standard gain tube has a blueish hue when I first look into it, but after 30+ minutes of use, my eyes adjust and I only see purely grayscale black and white, all the color seems to disappear. For me personally, the grayscale black and white feels very natural. Depends on the person I guess.
Thank you for sharing your experience. i love hearing this stuff because so many people get locked into thinking in absolutes and thats really the wrong way to look at this subject.
i thought i was crazy supergain tubes were almost completely a black and white pallet! I never owned a super gain tube but a friend of mine rented one for a class and I looked through it because I was like "I want to see what a super gain tube really looks like" and this night was DARKKKKK! No moon, no city within 50 miles, just starlight. (I track the moon and the moon was on the opposite side of the planet that night) and HOLY MOLY i saw WAY more than my thinfilmed L3 tube. But I noticed the same exact thing you said! IT was more "black and white" and I actually do have a video of it and my iphones color balance showed it exactly how I saw it...black and white. People actually thought this one video had a filter on it but it didnt. Bare bones L3 supergain tube in a PVS-14. That was it. What I find interesting compared to your taste, I actually LIKED the black and white look of them. My wallet actually screamed at me when I looked through it because I immediatly wanted to upgrade to one. But its true, they ARE noisier for sure. Noise however, has never seemed to truly bother me. Its contrast and gain I care about. Somehow, my eyes see through noise. My first tube was a Photonis XX141BR Aviation tube that I think they said had like the same thing (between 20-23 SNR) and the noise never bothered me. Just the super low gain out of it. My eyes for some reason DO pick up contrast with that black and white, so Im the opposite of you on that. It certainly shows White Phos vs Green Phos or some specs being worth more to others than other specs - its all down to taste really and its nice we have so many options to choose from.
I am the picky fucker. I am watching.
Thanks to CNV, I own standard gain and supergain. I need one more super for another set of binos
Awesome! we can make it happen.
Issa spooky scary skeleton
kinda looks like a skeleton telling me I'm number one, since I'm from NY I recognize our state salute. another good video, PHD of NVD kicking off 2025.
Its a skeleton!
I’m in the fort. IN THE FORT BIGTIME BRO.
no pants allowed.
Wouldn’t be there if they were.
Looks like you hid a skeleton, or maybe that is Reddit’s opticgate joke which has been beaten to death. Hard to tell
real talk.
looks good, ill get one soon.
Gain knobs are a thing of the past, adjustable iris is the future as you control not only gain but also depth of field focus
you must be new here.
@ you must be old here
Wtf did I just read…
What model ADM mount are they using? Want to go ahead and get one instead of waiting on the one from them to drop.
im not sure. you could message them directly.
@ they sent me one and let me know, thanks for the reply
Can civilians buy it? Or There is a good night vision that can civilians buy?
yes. civilians can buy it.
It would be cooler if you showed the same images at the same time for an actual side by side comparison.
tried my best. yall cannot be appeased.
Like 2 monos with their own recorders mounted on the same platform/base so they literally record the same thing.
Works as long as people can accept 2 different tubes... (Hopefully similar specs)
@@magickonsch1160I’m sorry I only have one $5k camera
lol optics gate survivor here. i got nightline/salvo and had my retailer switch them to fuji optics for free as i didnt get what i expected when i ordered mil spec omni 8 aeternus binos. just as good doesnt cut it
Love thermal. The NV/Therm combo is genius.
Carson is way better. The Steele is milky and has distortion. I used my privately bought nvg in Ukraine. I’d lose my mind if I got non Carson glass.
its not actually. carson has worse edge distortion and less light transmission.
