I got my apnvg's for $20,099, with L3 filmless white phospor. From Nightfall Optics. Very impressed, wasn't sure about them at first. But they are VERY good.
@customnightvision I have no clue about running a business, especially selling night vision. I got a really good product for a decent price I can't be mad haha
@@customnightvisionthe lenses are identical between the two. Only difference is that it’s cut and fused at the rear for the gpnvg. Same method of collimation as well.
I rolled the dice on the Argus lightweight optics for my MH-1 and I was surprised I can't tell any difference from them to milspec glass, I wouldn't have any reservations about buying Argus products. Pretty sure most the milspec glass comes from Singapore anyway (correct me if I'm wrong) and even at that I'm not sure they actually cut the glass either
I doubt very much I'll ever have either of these, I kind of like having a roof over my grape! It seemed to me the Argus had a better transition than the L3 unit as well. If I win the lottery, I'd get the Argus and go with Elbit PH tubes, I like the contrast of Elbits versus the L3s. The L3s I've seen all look washed out in everything but the lowest of light conditions, at least to my eyes.
Nightfall optics has them for 20k with elbit tubes and 24k with L3 tubes. Us night vision has them with elbit tubes for 25k. Us night vision has an all black housing as well as the fde. Thanks for doing this video. I haven’t seen any on the Argus and when the funds provide, I will pick one up
"If the only thing holding you back is your reservations about optics quality..." - I WISH!! I'm struggling to find $ for my FIRST nvgs and do not evaaaarr see how a set of panos could be in my future. (I am accepting donations and discount codes, btw) But regardless, my duals are gonna be with you folks, so see ya soon(ish).
Set up a savings account just for them and it will blow your mind how fast it'll grow. If you can swing it set aside $100 a week, that's 5,200 a year if you're not using a high interest savings. It'll encourage you to sell off things you don't need or want anymore too
i got a question: boomslangs on a panning binocular vs QTNVS: what's the overall field of view difference? my understanding is that panos are generally 100 degrees and boomslangs are 50. is there an angle you can pan boomslangs out to that'll give you GPNVG awareness without having to lug four tubes around? the Argus housing seems like a good bargain, you can get them with echoes for like 13k, but you could go for L3 tubes in a panning bino for closer to 10 or 11k so it's a tough call
What components exactly are in NVG's that make them so expensive? When looking at a soldier/"operator", I'd never guess that his NVG's are more expensive than all the rest of his gear combined.
if you have a dual tube setup at the moment, would it be worth upgrading to these? any reason you would grab a pair of dual tubes instead of your quad tubes if you owned both?
@@customnightvision thanks for the response. i decided to buy a pair with the nicest L3 tubes in them i could get. ill be able to try them out next week. i have a DTNVS with gen 3 elbit tubes so will be interesting to see the differences
I'd imagine a big enough difference is that you know the GPNVG has gone through rigorous testing to do what it claims to do in terms of durability and exposure to elements etc, also longevity, however, 99.9% of the people who would be considering buying the APNVGs will not actually come across any of these conditions or actually have the repetition where such things would even matter...
So APNVG which $16.6K is 3X cheaper than GPNVG. 😮 So definitely choose cheaper than over price 🇺🇸. N 4 the mount go get Argus A4 mount for $150 rather than over price 🇺🇸 Wilcox G24 for $499.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Happy freaking 🦃 gobble gobble day.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

That’s a ridiculous price. Idk why some of these dudes sell stuff as cheap as they do. He didn’t make much lol
@@kevin11288it's not "cheap" it's a fair price

Solid video. My experience with the Argus lenses and housings for their 31a and pano has been good. Solid construction with optics that I enjoy using.
I have not messed with those.

ARGUS makes another badass product yet again.
Copied* 😂
@@kevin11288 What's more American than a Chinese copy made for cheap but just as good...
Thank you for this video. Been wanting to see more info on these for a while.
You’re welcome
no problem, we appreciate you watching.
I love the intros! Your tism was showing a tad lol
Yes. I’m weird
@kevin11288 makes for good content tho and I'm fairly sure every man would behave the same with Panos lol
Appreciate the content ! Keep it flowing !
Thank you! Will do!
Is it just me or is the tube transition on the argus much better than the L3?
I kinda think the same thing 😂 maybe I just collimated mine better.
it is interesting.

Yeah it’s not bad.
The product you’re talking about does have issues with submersion but I understand that’s not as critical to some people.
@@kevin11288 oh wow I never heard anything about that before, like a at any level of submersion?
Mil Spec just means it has to take submersion in the fires of Mt Doom for 16,000 hours and come out unscathed.
idk test it out.

I never recommend panning binos. but id do panning binos with mil spec or rpo optics over boomslang in any housing.
Doing to much homie
click on video, first 10 seconds are a man playing with 60k worth of nods like they are toys (Immediate like)

Hello, can anyone tell me from which material the housing of the GPNVG is? Thanks alot
What components exactly are in NVG's that make them so expensive? When looking at a soldier/"operator", I'd never guess that his NVG's are more expensive than all the rest of his gear combined.
the intensifier tubes are the most expensive part.
I have the money to buy one of these units but I’m saving up for a downpayment for a house, this is so tempting
Mom wants you to stay at home bro.
Fuck that house

we still have some in stock.

Tube transition on argus looks better than the L3
likely because he spent days collimating it 😅
real talk. in my defense I was trying to learn everything i could so i could build them for customers. Vermicelli made sure that never came to pass.

well the GPNVG doesnt have the best track record in regards to durability but ive beat up both.
