You guys are crushing it, thanks for the videos and the quality service. Received my Katana-R yesterday and they are great and it took you less than two weeks from purchase to delivery all the way to Alaska.
Been waiting for this spec with manual gain, independent POD shutoff, RPO, L3 tubes. Definitely upgrading my monocular this year. Not opposed to the polymer version either. Will keep an eye on the website.
I used to fly on anvis-9s in the navy, so there was no manual gain to worry about, but now I'm interested in manual gain. Is there any advantage to these pushbuttons compared to an analog rotary dial? The dial seems like it would be quicker, easier and more intuitive.
I tried replying but I guess my computer tweaked out got it off Amazon like a year ago from freaky tactical but it says it’s unavailable. I’m sure you can get one off Etsy though
I wanted the Manticore-R (ruggedized) so badly last year, because it offered the benefit of variable gain in a beefed up Katana type of housing. Only problem was the product never launched in the US. I’ll give Ben or Kevin a shout to find out if it’s worth making the housing swap from the BNVD to the new hotness. Exciting stuff.
Does the manticore have manual gain with all the tubes you guys offer with them? Photonis, Elbit and L3? I heard that elbit doesn't work without soldering, if so do you guys do that yourself? Or does it only work with manual gain with Photonis and L3. Thanks
Why doesn't every night vision device come with manual gain? Makes no sense. Having night vision without manual gain is like removing the ability to go from low beams to high beams on a car because some people don't care to go back and forth.
I'm trying to get some decent nods that I can use for fun/night shoots and maybe duty IF NEEDED . May I ask why its a NO for you ? Any better recommendations
All night vision devices should move to the 51 degree fov eyepiece. A 40 degree fov is super small. Honestly though the tech needs to improve. They could easily make 66 degree fov eyepieces like high end binos.
the algorithm requires engagement, this production was dope
Indeed, I concur.
These are the best to me, hands down. Gotta have that manual gain!
they're definitely nice.

Will they offer this for the Tonto?

Currently L3 and Elbit. Working on a solution for photonis.
Does the manual gain work with the photonis echo tubes yet?
No. Frankly, manual gain isn't as useful with these as the gain is already lower than you would like it to be.
They told me the quads will be available soon too.
Is this a better option over 1431’s
Yeah.
Are these just housings or does it come complete when you buy them??
It is a housing. we sell it both ways.
awesome
you're awesome.
Do you think nocturn will come out with a paning housing at some point?
yes
Unfortunately yes
Nice!
Ordered a set a few days ago. About a 6 week wait.
From where?
not us lol.
Do you buy the housing and build it youre self
No we would do it for you.
