Why this not working on xt5 ?

I was using the Artman LP-E17 battery in my new Canon R50, when a video recording session died on me. I was recording myself as I draw one of my comic book pages, camera set up over my drawing board, etc. When I went to retrieve the video, it showed as a .DAT file. Although I tried different ways to recover that .DAT file, none of them worked. I tried renaming the file to .mov or .mp4 and even tried Movavi and something called VLC--nothing worked. And all because the battery (and no warning of it running low) died during the recording. I guess would only use these batteries if I were only taking photos. Definitely not for critical video work! I bought the 3 pack with the charger. I think my return window is closed on Amazon by now. But from now on, I will have to pop for the more expensive Canon OEM batteries. Or, use the only LP-E17 that I can trust: one that is actually a dummy battery hooked up to a power bank that at least has a percentage that I can see.

Maybe? lol Canon made a non greedy move and priced that camera just right and Nikon proved it. That said, get whatever Camera you want, I’m not a Canon fan boy. I’m a photographer of 25 years and wanna be DP for the last eight. I currently shoot with a Sony FS7 that I purchased for $1100 because that’s what I could afford and if you know what you’re doing with lighting, composition etc., it really doesn’t matter what you shoot on these days. I promise you my corporate clients aren’t asking, why aren’t you shooting on a Red? 😬🤓

The work I do 90% of the time, calls for just my FX6 or FX3. But the shoots with bigger crew seem to land on the RED or Arri. But I am not a DP on those. The cine bodies do have more butta overall when it comes to the look. My next leap is a cine prime set. Might be this year or early next year. Great video!

I don't have a use for a Komodo or anything of that caliber yet, but I did just rig out my FX30 and even though I don't feel the quality is any better than my A7IV, it's perceived as "super expensive so it must be good!" by clients. They don't know anything about cameras, they just see what I bring for gear on a commercial shoot and rarely complain anymore about my rates, even though I am providing them with the same content as before... 🤷🏻‍♂ Good video Aaron. A month ago I got a great deal, I bought a brand new Sony FX6 + Sony 24-105mm f4 for $3080. I can't wait to film some music videos, and some short movies. :)) Having a camera like FX6 makes me more excites to film...

1. Well depending on the project you may need to rig out the camera that has all the tool built in. 2. Some clients hire based on equipment (not as much anymore) Reds we always favored depending on where you are… 3. You are working in environments/ lighting situations where you need incredible latitude… And you said it at the end RELIABILITY AND CAPABILITIES… Tbere are so many more reasons… ❤

Just got a sigma fp for my passion projects. Love the image quality I’ve been seeing people capture with this camera. Have an FD lens coming that I can’t wait to play with. Outside of that, I’ve been shooting commercials freelancing for a production company. I’ve shot with a team a few times and I loved the experienced. I’m looking to put a team together here in Michigan that I can work with.

One thing to keep in mind is the video compression over the 5GHz wifi protocol. I'm getting a lot of artifacts even from close distance transmission, which tricks the focus peaking function of the monitor. No one that got their kit for free seems to mention this.

I love the fujifilm system in general very capable APS-C cameras , the stacked sensor on the XH2S is a marvel. Very good lens quality and selection
