Episode 23 aired on March 22, 1987. I remember that exact day. That was the day a friend of mine turned seven and I was at her birthday party, my dad picked me up from there afterwards and brought me directly to what was left of some picnic with his company.

This television series was ahead of its time, full of heart, honesty, and traditional family values. This television series has it all. It's one of my favorites.

I used to watch it on PAX about 2000-2001, and I've been a fan ever since. I'm watching this show again for the first time thank you for sharing.

One of the worst characters in the entire series was the owner of the horse stables/ranch. Cardboard has more personality than she. She's the only person in the entire series that couldn't act.

Gus was dishonest when asked if he was a drinking man. He drinks beer when playing poker.

One other thing, I think I heard that Drake Hogestyn died recently.

To make matters worse when your car is stolen, if the thief crashes it and injures someone, they hold you legally responsible just because you’re the owner of the car. Such a screwed up law! In fact, the same subject comes up in an episode of my mother’s favorite show The Golden Girls when Blanche takes Rose’s car out without even asking her and taps at some guy’s car just to get his attention, but it’s Rose who could be taken to court because she was the owner of the car.

This episode sorta feels like what would happen after it got canceled. It talked about whats goin to happen to David, Gus will need to be looked after later on, so that probably means alzheimers, or a diabetes issue that will prevent him from doing the things he's doin in these episodes. There should be a finale of sorts where Jessie, Molly & David just coming back from Kris's funeral & dealing with her death among other issues. Like what these episodes deal with. Just a thought.
