I am viewing these episodes as soon as they are posted. Warm memories of my youth. Enjoying them again after so long. If both seasons were on DVD or Blue Ray, I would buy them.
@@mgenigma5 I'm really surprised they're not on a service like Tubi or Crackle. They're always putting rare shows or ones with only a few seasons on there.
I'm watching this 80's TV classic, full of heart and honesty this is back when families were watching television on Sunday nights, I like to see both seasons on TSOD for the very first time.
It’s so funny I remember watching this episode when I was a little kid. Back then, I thought Gus was such a jerk to those kids. Now I think, it was those kids who were total brats! When you’re a kid, you have no idea what it is like to be an adult surviving in the real world. You think grown-ups have it to easy, and can’t wait to grow up. God, how wrong I was!
I think it was a little of both those kids could be brats but they had been threw a lot and pretty much the same with Gus's he had list a lot in his life but I thought he was overbarring and a tad hypercritical at time like do as I say not as I do.
I can't find a word to describe what it's like watching this show today - it's simultaneously so cringe, wholesome, bland, perplexing, basic, and fascinating! I don't want to stop watching! If this was the kind of show kids grew up watching today, I'm sure there'd be far fewer violent incidents in schools, and people would be a lot more respectful towards one another. Part of the reason it's so cringe to watch is because the dialogue is so completely unrealistic sometimes in contrast to how horribly kids speak to adults now & how entitled they are.
Remember when kids dressed up with things they found around the house? Maybe they'd purchase an accessory for a couple dollars. Now every kid I see has a store-bought costume. Some are really cool, but a lot of them are nearly $100. Disney Tigger costumes were $80 last year.
It's so funny, the low quality of this video sometimes makes Gus' eyeglass arms invisible; it looks as if his glasses are floating in front of his face.
The actor playing the pumpkin salesman was a guest actor a lot on episodes of "Hunter". Every time he guest starred it was a completely different character. This J R Dutton is not as charming as the actor that would succeed him in playing that role.
@@TDTam11 And, how do you know that? Let me guess. You read it on the internet. I mean, no one cares one way or the other, but why bring it up in this conversation?
Now THIS is what TV was like back when TV was worth watching!

I like the idea of rapping a poem. Very creative.

One of my favourite series - thank you JarlenaFan for posting this. I have been looking for DVDs of this series.

I swear , every "family" show I watch now, it seems to me like the kids are spoiled and bratty and the parents are over-permissive wimps!
Haha! The kids were such brats. Gus was so good to drive them. What a good lesson.
Wow the kids were so rude!
You're absolutely right! When I was a kid I wanted to be grown up. Now being an adult at 52 I find it to be difficult at times
Love that we sometimes find Molly & David watching Thundercats - another favorite from the 80's!
Thank you for posting all these episodes💜💜💜

I agree with you I grew up then to and I wouldn’t let any kid talk t me that way
The word for me is "comforting".
RIP Shannen Doherty I was a fan before Beverly Hills 90210
I wish 80s shows, canceled or not, were streamin somewhere. Life Goes On is another one of those good 80s ones. TY Jar :)

Xray machines could find the "razor blades" in the candy, but didn't they think about the fact that poison can't be seen by xray?
Can we please go back to the 1980s, please!!!
Thanks so much for posting!

Gotta work with what I got lol
I laughed at that. Glasses would be easier to use if they floated like that. Coincidentally, I have an eye exam in 2 days 😆
The audio quality is on point though!
10:04 Chad Allen should have gotten an Emmy for pretending that he didn't want that kid to touch his face.
lmao
I have never seen this episode of Our house before. (Happy Halloween.)
LA to San Francisco is a 6 hour drive according to what Ive heard. I live in Buffalo, NY area
Remembering x-raying candy on Halloween..js
take it easy before you get sick, Gus
I like Chad Allen who plays David on Our house. I also remember him from Doctor Quinn Medicine woman who played Mathew.
The Cosby Episode Molly Referring To Was When Rudy Sung James Brown On Grandpa & Grandma's Anniversary @ 32:30
you should never steal anything that you havent paid for with money. period, my 2 daughters and the man in my life know it.
"man in my life". Thats a little vague.
The Vet is the same actor who played in Gung Ho movie
51:25 this scene always gets me nostalgic and sad.
Can't the commercials be removed?
U can double tap thru them. If it was a streaming service u'd have to endure the full ads. 😃
You can transfer the video and remove them yourself
Ridiculous what Gus did with the racoon instead of going to the concert....I mean, seriously nuts. I get the lesson but I'd be pissed anyway.

That would be David Mendenhall. I have always wondered why the original JR got replaced
I'm trying to imagine me talking to my mom that way... (1.14.20) thought about it... I'm dead and buried. Yes I know it's tv...
14903 the actor in the blue denim jacket is cute.
lies come back to liars.
Kaplan is hilarious. He's kind of a dimwit. "Kaplan, who's on the phone?" "You don't want to know." What kind of answer is that??
hes a good dog. pet him.
10:06 foreshadowing to 2 young homosexual boys 🏳️🌈 (not that there is anything wrong with that)

@@bigstevesnostalgiadragraci4240 it’s well know that both actors aren “out”. You can kinda tell here also
I never suspected Chad Allen was gay. He gives masculine vibes to me, including his acting on my 2 Dads. That other actor I have no idea who he is.
