I am Japanese. I watched this drama as a child and loved it so much that I recorded it on video. Thank you for uploading it. I'll make it a saved version.
im an 80s mom. miss beepers instead of iphones. i dont like them. my life is not on any phone.cant afford any kind.i may be the only 67 year old woman in thiscountry who doesnt want or need 1.i miss house phones.
Me, too! Well, not an '80s mom but an '80s kid. I'm 44 and have never wasted any money on those internet phones, either! Who needs to spend $hundreds on a phone that looks like a half-sized Etch-a-Sketch and is so hard to use you can't figure out how to make a simple call, but they line up for it just because it has a little picture of an apple on the back.
This was my favorite show when I was little! And this is the episode I've always remembered best. I was two years younger than Molly, so she was my favorite and I looked up to her. Seeing these episodes now after almost 40 years, I see that she really was truly the best character. All the kids who weren't even born before the 2000s who've started saying that they, ahem, "discovered" 🙄this show keep talking about Kris. The fact is that Kris was always as boring as a box of bran flakes. She had no personality at all. Classic dime-a-dozen teen tomboy nerd of perfection, yaaaawwwwwn. Molly was the real star of this series. I remember this episode best because when Molly and Bertha were about to do their blood exchange, my dad said a disapproving, "MMM-MMM!" and told me never to do that because of AIDS, which was a big worry at the time. He said the same thing during the ketchup sisters episode of Punky Brewster. I don't remember many of the storylines that didn't involve Molly, but I remember almost every Molly scene of every episode perfectly. Unlike kids of today, we had to remember our favorite shows back then since there was no way to rewatch them.
Yeah it is a slow moving show and the script wasn't perfect but over time it kind of grew on me. A nice break from all the ugliness of the world and now a favorite of mine. I recorded quite a few shows on vid but the quality isn't as good as yours. Thanks for keeping the memories alive.
I think I kind of agree with grandpa, I think and agree teachers need to be paid better. Better school funding ect. But the strikes just hits the students missing a lot of school.
People like you are the reason there's a nationwide teacher shortage. You pretend to be supportive but you really don't care. If you cared, you'd know that teachers can't do their job well when they're rushing off to second jobs every day when the schoolbell rings just so they can barely scrape together enough money for a tiny run-down apartment.
I guess kids don't change, kids are the same same we old folks change. I was a rowdy little twat. I remember that in 3rd grade secondary school you would call it a sophomore. That the economics teacher, Barbara (she was nice), said that she would teach how to run a business from an economic point of view. So I asked (rather sincerely): "But how would you know? I mean no offence but you have a flag of the USSR on your desk, your drive a bloody LADA and have a 30k maybe 35k income. Hardly the trademarks of an entrepreneur." And out I went... There's always a class clown, a nerd, a sporto, a wise ass, a freak.
9:26 the mother seriously got her daughter all excited over junk mail? You think the mom would have realized it was junk. 15:49 Grandpa calls David by his real name Chad.
Is there a scene missing or something? The teacher says she’s tired and is giving up, Gus walks in to the principal and says “we’re going to fix this“, and then the episode is over? What happened? Was the strike settled? Did Gus and the principal do anything?
If I remember correctly, the original NBC version of the episode ended the same way. Gus walked into the principal’s office and told the principal that he wanted to start making things better around the school. I have no idea what Gus planned on saying to the principal after that. Presumably the strike eventually got settled. I don’t remember the strike being talked about in any future episodes.
My favorite thing about cloris leachman, she came out as an atheist. I'm not one, but I support them. She was a legend. On the goofy sitcom nutt house, a Disney Herbie Volkswagen movie, on the hilarious north avenue irregulars (my favorite Disney movie ever) & on facts of life.
Never cared for Cloris Leachman characters always seemed to demonic for me but she said the blizzard of 88 a year before it happened she probably just screwed the line up but funny..js
Mr. Hayes seemed to think that the teachers were going to have all this extra money after the eventual end of the strike. Well you don’t necessarily come out ahead by striking, especially if there is a somewhat lengthy strike.

I watched this series when I was a child , and always my favourite .
Somehow something that reminiscent of childhood is beautiful ❤️
Wish there would've been more than 2 seasons. I really loved this show as a kid.
If it hadn't been for the fact that it was the Sunday night time slot, it might have lasted longer
the show is so slow

I’ve been looking for this show for years. I was in elementary school when it was on TV. Thanks for the uploads 💕
now THIS is what TV was like back when TV was worth watching!
I wish they would have put this program on DVD. I loved it when it was on tv. All of a sudden it was gone . I thought it was and is a great program.
I like this episode of Our house. Teachers teach good things in school.
Mr. Kaplan saved Bertha from the earthquake in the season 1 finale but now she doesn’t know who he is 😂
The earthquake is actually the Season 2 premiere, they must have filmed/produced them in a different order than how they were released.
Was wondering the same thing!

Bless you! I was looking forward to this for tonight!
Molly, thats junk mail. PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE, NO ONE WINS, DUMP IT.
A kid can dream lol
No, people DID win, but only adults. She wasn't old enough.
Did Bertha and Joe get amnesia during the earthquake in the last episode and just forget they knew each other? 14:25

How did Bertha not know who Joe Kaplan was? He has just consoled her and took her home during the earthquake episode.
Was wondering the same thing!

It’s Sunday just like the good ol days when they used to air this show. Hope you feel better
Thank you! I’ve got another 2 eps uploading and that’s probably all I’m in the shape to edit right now. I will try to work on more tomorrow

I think it’s strange that Gus was willing to work as a scab. I’m sure that he would have been a union worker when he worked for the railroad.
Yeah, he was a real self-righteous ass in this episode.

Maybe they cut something for syndication? It does feel very unfinished, I agree.
If I remember correctly, the original NBC version of the episode ended the same way. She was maybe referring to the blizzard of 1888. A huge blizzard that hit NYC.
