I was 14 goin on 15. My 10 year old sis Jen died on March 20th the year the show canceled, so I didn't watch the last few remaining episodes. I've watched this from the beginning on this TH-cam channel, just to actually finish it this time 36 years later. It was a great show. It was stupidity on the part of NBC to cancel it. Some shows are worth canceling, this one was not even close to canceling.
Haven't watched this seris since it first aired with my mom when i was 11-13 years old . I've been binge watching it the last few days. This episode i only remember because i told my mom i wanted an earring. We ended up moving about 1300 miles away was told to wait to see if it was a thing boys did in the new school, it wasn't but 4 years later after my mom was diagnosed with terminal skin cancer she took me to get it at 17 years old she past about six months later, i only had it in for about a year. today I'm the same age she was when we watched it together..😢😢😢
This is one of the few Our House episodes I had never seen before---it was a nice one! I remember getting drunk at 80's high school house parties like the one in this episode---inexperienced teenage drinkers could get drunk after very little. Thanks a ton for posting these episodes, it's a nice bit of nostalgia of the mid 80's.
I like the witherspoons. You go Chris. Our house talks about many challenges of life and about personal and private moments of life. It was on tv when I was a young person.
25:25 I had a bad flashback seeing Kaplan sit like this - I remember my grandfather sitting with his legs spread wide open all casual and it was shall we say uncomfortable for everyone else in the room lol
For those unaware, the actor playing Willie is gay in real life, he created the "Hedwig" character. He's real masculine here, so I was surprised to learn this. 🙂
I admire how Gus used a reel mower. They're better for the environment. They don't have that screaming metallic noise, & they don't guzzle up gallons of gas. Motorized mowers have made people fatter as people don't put their sweat into pushing a reel mower.
I do not like that Bruce Willas, he was a wimp on “ Moonlighting “ with the domineering old woman as his “ boss” . No earring are not important to women liking men. Nonsense.
Great show as I was 16-18 when this originally aired and still enjoy it today at 54.

When I was 18 I downed a hole six pack of course light in retrospect it wasn't that much alcohol but it that time it got me sloshed.
The mother was excellent as the advisor- teacher.
Respect for her skills.
Thank you
“That’s your thinkin’ cap, huh?” 😂🤣😂😆

Omg thank you. I wasnt going to harass you but I needed my fix! I know there are only a few episodes left. ☹️
39:35. Unfortunately that IS NOT how you sharpen that kind of mower, Trust me.. LOL

I didn't realize he is as old as he is! He still doesn't look or act a day over 40.
David (Chad Allen too) but who cares, right?
Chad Allen was great on this show and then on Dr Quinn Medicine Woman.
Who cares if he's gay
I’m pretty sure my mom wouldn’t let me watch this episode at the time 🤣 I was like 9
Honestly, doesn't anyone else ever just get the urge to say to Gus, "Shut your trap, you self-righteous old fart!"
before she throws u because shes not used to alcohol. that was e at 17 and a half, me and alcohol dont mix. i find it a waste of life.

try pushing one one a 1.5 acre property with a bad back, youd be investing in a rider, and there are even electric ones now
I think if you had it your way people would go back to using washboards for laundry lol.
