Everyone needs a neighbor play Mr Kaplan who comes over every day for coffee with Gus Witherspoon and it just said announces I'm here for coffee and I would have been upset but then again and they were best friends for years neighbor you could trust who brings in the daily paper and reads it to the family thanks for the memories Sunday nights I remember this show 6:00 at night and ended at 7:00 I didn't know it was competing against 60 minutes at the time in the 80s Wisconsin remembers play show with respect and dignity young people respecting their elderly grandpas😊
I never had any grandparents as they died before I was adopted. I never got to meet adoptive grandparents or my birth grandparents. Very lucky kids to have Gus in their lives. ❤❤
I remember him from Life With Mikey, Blazing Saddled, and he guest-starred several times on The Wonder Years as Dan Lauria’s father and once that I know of on Benson as the governor’s father.
