I honestly can't believe this show was almost 40 years ago . I'm the same age as Molly and I watched this every Saturday. Thank you so much for blessing us with these wonderful memories again.
Thanks! Been watching them all night! They each are unique and have solid common sense and values to teach. If they would have had anyone but wilford brimley it wouldn't have been a fraction as good. He was the same in all his roles, but this is the part he was meant to play and I just wish they had made several years worth of this program. Thanks again!
Thank you for these uploads! Was only 8 when this ep aired and never saw it again til now... didn't recall many specifics of the kids at the church, but i remember the custodian guy having an indelible impact on David in just a short time, and it obv musta had a similar impact on me. I do however more distinctly remember David saying "I'm a teenager, yes!!!!" (or thereabouts) and doing a fist pump lol. Anyway, definitely the episode I remember the most... followed by the halloween/haunted house one, and David's bike accident. Heh, Wilford Brimley is like Frances Conroy (SFU)... tends to look/play 10-15 years older than his age. He was only 52 when this was filmed, only 13 years older than Diedre Hall!
That Lorimar Telepictures bumper makes me think of the short-lived $1 Million Chance of a Lifetime, one of my favorite game shows of all time, which I go way back to 1986 with!👍 (They were bought out by Warner Bros Television in 1989, by the way.)
This is one of the double-episodes I remember the most, "Sounds From a Silent Clock." And the episode where David comes off his bike, and dreams his deceased Dad, played by Patrick Duffy returns to him while he is in a coma. The kids forming a pop group, and the gang chopping up cars who steal Mr. Caplan's car. All these are due, I think in Season 2. Thanks again for posting the whole of both seasons.
@@mgenigma5 This particular episode came at a time when in the fall of 1987, a quake know as the Whittier Narrows quake shook all of Southern California, so it was life imitating art.
I remember watching this episode a couple times in the 1990's (reruns, of course) and I just noticed while watching on TH-cam that Kris wasn't even aware of the earthquake from being up in the air. After this many years it's impossible to remember everything accurately, unless, of course, you have a photogenic memory, but anyway I wasn't expecting Kris to just suddenly admit she'd gone flying, I thought Jessie was going to tell her about the earthquake, and she'd say "We did?" and Jessie would be like "Of course, how could you have missed it?" and Kris would be panicked and speechless, and only when realizing there was no fake alibi to come up with, just gently admitting it but attempting to sugarcoat it. (I never did forget her saying "it just happened.") I don't suppose saying she slept through it would have worked, because some of those things you just can't sleep through.
I love Shannen in these it really shows her character because I feel like a lot of her character and passion came out in Beverly hills 90210 even on girls just wanna have fun. I appreciate her a lot more. 💜
I liked her better in this show then 90210 her character seemed more driven and considerate Brenda all though was also descent seemed like she had more of an attitude so was jenny Garth.
Never seen these episodes before, wonderful! The baby's name J.B. is from Jello Biafra, singer of the 1980's California punk rock band, Dead Kennedys. Somebody in the writing staff of this show was tuned in to the underground music culture of 80's California.
So the first blast blows out a back window, the second blast brings the fire to the front of the church, the two kids are trapped up top, David runs to the rescue . . . and the next thing we see is David and the handyman in the hospital. No mention of how the two kids got down? Did David help them in any way? He's got a tiny bit of ash on his cheek, but otherwise doesn't look like someone who braved a fire. "They'll be okay" is all we get! 😄 Fun fact: the third blast is the same window as the first (note the gutter drain and meter seen next to the window in both blasts). All the glass that was blown away by the first blast is back again to be blown away in the third! 😉
Wow LA to Miramar that’s indeed a long way. I worked in LA and rented an affordable appartement in Carmel Mountain (Poway) and then you still need to go about 8 miles. 😂
First time it aired, Los Angeles had an earthquake that night. They replayed it a few weeks later, we had an earthquake that night or the next day. To fun
This Episode was very Scary for Me in 1987 I was 9 especially when Gus Joe and the Baby were in elevator and when Molly was on the Kitchen with her Friend it was a Two Partner my Arthur was a smart dog he was a Basset Hound like Flash from The Dukes OF Hazzard Rosco P Coltranes Dog
This show was SO WHOLESOME. I remember it well from growing up. The earthquake episode was one of fhe best.
Now THIS is what TV was like back when TV was worth watching!!
Yes, this show was among the last of its kind.
I wish it was on dvd, I would buy the series, watched Our House on tv many years ago, and I have always loved it, great show!
Thank you so much for posting these. I watched this show when I was growing up and wished they had made more episodes. ❤
remember watching this 35 years ago. good quality show
Can't say the same for this day and age, its 2023 not 1987, though I was 5 in 1987, miss those times.

Yes, he was quite a good actor, very natural and convincing in his role.

What About The One When Molly was Stealing?

Me too
I used to watch this show when I was a kid. Thank you for uploading this
Thanks. Really enjoying these.
This show had a 7th heaven feel to it.
With a heavy heart we lost Shannon Doherty at the young age of 53 RIP
I remember feeling the suspense on what was gonna happen here and having to wait a whole week when this first aired
I love this s how. I have every episode on vhs. Sp mode. Still like new. Im glad I recorded them back in the day. I love all the commercials too.
Shannon was so sweet in Little House on the Prairie...so young then...❤...

I remember the scene where the glass broke scared me to death as a child!

Same
I miss watching our house and life goes on tv. Please bring both of them back.

Oh, okay, I always wondered about that.
He also got another band called Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine which is better than the DKs
I didn't know that
Thank you.
Thank you very much author))) Our House) very nice TV series)

Thanks for posting this one! I was gonna ask you about the earthquake one!
I haven't seen that show, in ages!
This episode came around the time of the 10/1/87, Whittier Narrows quake, many in Southern California related to.
pretty wild coincidence - both set in the LA area, quake that happened was similar size, just a couple weeks later
Not to mention the Loma Prieta Quake two years later on 10/17/89.
@@benschaeffer8102then five years later the Northridge Quake. 01/20/94. I hate earthquakes!
That custodian/murderer is a real doll.
Wow LA to Miramar that’s indeed a long way.

12:55 The teacher sounded a little like Aaron Neville for a minute!😂
Priorities they dont have the money to give Chris flying lesson, but they can blow $5000 on a truck they dont need,
I think he was getting a car so he can earn money to repairing his yard .. Yes the car is needed if the only had one and Jessie uses it for her work.
13223 Chad Allen looks especially cute there
Love this one

the dog heard hte earthquake before the humans.
They ALWAYS do.
Yeah, dogs have ears of steel.
Watched this in my 30's...with my children...mostly my daughter though...
Our House, sponsored by...Instant Quaker Oatmeal! And...Liberty Medical, dedicated to helping people with diabetus!
13552 Dennis. He is the actor from Allstate commercials.
and President Palmer from "24"!
4554 get away from that glass!
A two-part episode.
OMG! I love this show. I trumiss the 80s.
36:05 scanned the whole side. There are definitely no numbers on that plane. ?????
❤
Chad Allen he is 13 in 1987, in 2022 he almost 50.
He's barely 48. That's not almost 50. That's like saying someone 16 is almost 18
He was born one day before me and at the time you wrote this I was 48. Today I'm 49 and will be 50 in 9 months.
At 68, I always said I was almost 70...just like if it's 9:50, it's almost 10:00...no biggy...
