Now that I'm approaching 40 and about to enter the second and final half of my life I'm making happiness a priority and these are 6 things I've found that have...

    I just purchased Escrima sticks and stumbled on your channel looking for instruction. I live my life on purpose. Everything has purpose, we observe the sun, It’s purpose is important for time, heat, photosynthesis and so many things we needed to sustain life on earth. I am also living with intention but I believe my intention sets me up for purpose. I think you’re right about many people being overwhelmed and even depressed when they work to live on purpose. Don’t work at it just serve our gift to others. The overflow of serving our passion, gifts and strength is living a life with purpose. There are no two alike fingerprints and that makes us unique and made from original material. Our unique gift is bringing value to others through living with intention and that to me is purpose. I believe the purpose of the the sun was created to serves us so we can serve our purpose.

    "Complaint is a weakened state of mind", I love this, and I'm borrowing it for my own teaching with due credit! At any other point of my life I would have sworn blueberries were my favorite, but I discovered a few patches of wild strawberries in my hiking adventures. They taste better than any other berry I've ever had.

    • @PaulKaliFlow
      @PaulKaliFlow หลายเดือนก่อน

      Started learning as a kid then kept going with others who would teach me from time to time. There are a lot of easy identifiable edible plants to start with. Just start with 1 or 2 in your area at a time. Get to know those well before adding another. Over time you’ll accumulate a lot of wild edible knowledge.

    I turn 30 very soon and I transitioned to more natural shoes my senior year of highschool, that is where the realization came to me that I actually don't like shoes. Of coarse social norms and working restaurants or whatever I bought regular shoes for a while but anytime I didn't need shoes I wouldn't wear them. Now with my adult money I tend to like you buy "barefoot" shoes, now this year as I begin a new decade in my life I've been a way more extreme advocate for unshod lifestyle. I just don't care anymore and I run barefoot, cycle barefoot, sometimes go shopping or to my local cafe barefoot, I dress up barefoot. I never wanted to be THAT guy but here I am, known in my family and in my neighborhood as that barefoot guy. And you know what living loudly I've found that I inspire my friends to be more open and my family, the idea that we can re-wild ourselves has been resonating. I don't get sick often, no struggle with weight, no struggle with back pain or knee pain and I am VERY active so. Keep on brother, your not alone!

    • @PaulKaliFlow
      @PaulKaliFlow 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe one day it’ll be more normal to see people barefoot again. It’s weird how walking how we did for hundreds of thousands of years gets us called “that guy”.

    oh I love this. one thing I enjoyed so much as a child was spontaneous foraging- when we would just pick some edible greens from the ground, or wild fruits around , then just simply eat them up. the places had since gone to nasty gentrification. now, no near a place to do some foraging and grounding. I find we.share the same views about food;.
