  • There are many reasons Why I Enjoy Barefoot Hiking. As a kid, I loved being barefoot as much as possible and now as an adult, it still gives me that same feeling of being free.

i wish more people would do grounding, even in clean mud. children who do this have better immune system

I agree totally. I always try to take my shoes off as often as i can. Its just the best feeling on the ground or grass and especially the beach

I turn 30 very soon and I transitioned to more natural shoes my senior year of highschool, that is where the realization came to me that I actually don't like shoes. Of coarse social norms and working restaurants or whatever I bought regular shoes for a while but anytime I didn't need shoes I wouldn't wear them. Now with my adult money I tend to like you buy "barefoot" shoes, now this year as I begin a new decade in my life I've been a way more extreme advocate for unshod lifestyle. I just don't care anymore and I run barefoot, cycle barefoot, sometimes go shopping or to my local cafe barefoot, I dress up barefoot. I never wanted to be THAT guy but here I am, known in my family and in my neighborhood as that barefoot guy. And you know what living loudly I've found that I inspire my friends to be more open and my family, the idea that we can re-wild ourselves has been resonating. I don't get sick often, no struggle with weight, no struggle with back pain or knee pain and I am VERY active so. Keep on brother, your not alone!

Maybe one day it’ll be more normal to see people barefoot again. It’s weird how walking how we did for hundreds of thousands of years gets us called “that guy”.

My barefoot journey started when i retired at age 60 and i found that my 15 year constant back pain was gone. from there there was no turning back. since then i have dicovered and experienced so many more heath benifits to being barefoot 24/7

If it's too cold to go barefoot in the yard, I wear all leather moccasins.

Definitely gotta protect them from the cold. That’s great!
